Our reservation was for 5:30pm and we got seated right away. We were sat in a quiet area all to ourselves for most of our dining experience. The food was great! Got the beef tartare, shrimp and bread as appetizers. All very flavorful and nicely plated. For the entrees, we got the braised beef which was so tender that the meat just came right off. We also got the gnocchi and lived the flavor combinations. We ended the night with a crème brûlée which was delicious!

Our group was seated promptly with our table already prepared for us. Service was attentive and friendly. The peach and Barata salad was exceptional. The Halibut special with risotto was delicious. Great choice for dining before the theatre.

The deviled eggs and the duck pate were excellent as usual! Great drink options. I liked the expanded menu but miss the sunchoke crepes and the halibut. We sampled the mussels, duck leg confit, prawns, and tuna. All were flavorful and unique but some items were missing ingredients. The server was great though and offered to replace or take off bill.

We enjoyed this restaurant. Not only was the food and wine absolutely delicious, the staff were all very attentive without being annoying. Alex was our waiter and he did his job very well. We had escargot that was so yummy! I had the Beef Bourguignon and my husband had the Cod Dish. Both were cooked to perfection and we were so stuffed that we did not have room for dessert.

We had dinner at Brassiere du Monde prior to attending RENT at Broadway Sacramento. Service was very efficient and our waitress was attentive to our questions and needs. The food was superb. The romaine salad was tasty and the dressing was not overpowering. My wife ate the mussels and thought they were very fresh and tasty. I had the pork chops which were cooked perfectly, not dried out. They were enhanced with a sauce that included nectarines, which balanced the flavor very well. The broccolini was very tasty. The ambiance was a little loud, but not so bad that we couldn’t carry on a conversation. The meal was well priced, and included two glasses of wine. Our time in and out was an hour and fifteen minutes, which was perfect for our timing. We have eaten there before and will definitely be back again!!

Hadn't been to this restaurant in a while but we had a wonderful meal. We shared the gravalox which was terrific. My wife had the black cod and I had mussels. Brought our own bottle of wine so it was perfect! Service was excellent. Highly recommend!

Lovely decor which took me back to a Paris brasserie. We loved the special Panzanella salad. Veggies fresh, dressing almost like pesto and was delicious. We both had mussels and frites, one classic and one Provençale. The menu should state that the Provençale is a little spicy. It was too much for me, so my husband ate that one. The classic broth was yummy. A few of the mussels were a little fishy and tasted undercooked but overall they were delicious. The frites were perfect and similar to what you'd get in France. Profiteroles filled with ice cream. Loved the ice cream, the pastry was a little chewy. Biggest disappointment was the bread. Expected some lovely crunchy sourdough especially since we had to pay extra for it. While I liked it was warm, the bread was very underwhelming; no crunch, no great sourdough taste, fell apart. Service was friendly and attentive. We would return.

None to compare on service, attentiveness and professionalism of front of house staff. The presentation of plated meals were beautiful, but I found the food to be a bit bland and lacked flavor. The braised short rib I had just fell apart beatifully, it was so tender, but was tasteless.

My husband and I had tickets to Music Circus matinee so we decided to have lunch here. We enjoyed the French food and ambience very much. They had free parking for customers, too. You can eat inside or on a nice porch overlooking K Street. We plan to dine here again.

My family and I had dinner here before going to the theater. There were 6 of us and we had an incredible night. We started with escargot, classic mussels and frites, and the salmon mousse appetizers along with various cocktails that were all delicious and quite strong. The mussels were so perfect, plump and juicy, no closed ones and the fennel/wine broth was fantastic. The frites were crispy and well seasoned. Every entree we ordered was perfectly cooked, flavorful, well seasoned and absolutely perfect. Not a single bite was left on any plate. We ordered 1 of each dessert Napoleon, creme brulee, pot-de-creme, profiteroles and the chef special Basque cheesecake with lemon curd and merengue. Each one was spectacular and we debated all night over which was best. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and I cannot wait to return.

This was our first visit to this restaurant, but it won’t be our last. Our whole visit was wonderful, beginning with live music as we entered the restaurant and continuing with the prompt and attentive service. We enjoyed outstanding handcrafted cocktails from the bar. The under-21 in our party ordered a Roy Rogers and was delighted when the grenadine syrup turned out to be house-made. It’s not often that such care is put into a child’s beverage. The attention to detail continued with our dinner. On the server’s recommendation, we ordered several of the specials. From the salads to the entrees, the dishes were constructed with care and precision. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, absolutely delicious. The service continued to be attentive yet unobtrusive. We were stuffed after dinner, but we aren’t quitters, so we ordered dessert. Again, everything we ordered was beautifully made and delicious. I would wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys delicious food in a lovely but not stuffy environment. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit.
