   I don’t write reviews often, but feel particularly compelled to share our experience. Prior to Covid, this was a lovely restaurant with delicious food and incredible service. This was the first time back and I wonder if it is under the same ownership. Our waiter was friendly and responsive. However, the food was not up to par. It no longer tastes like French cuisine. The kicker was the hostess coming over and letting us know she will need our table in 5 minutes. Yes, I was having a leisurely dinner on a Monday night with a friend that I see once a year. There were 5-6 vacant tables when she made her request. To the restaurant, you can have your table permanently as we will never return. How does that work for you?

   Was in town for an evening and booked a reservation based on ratings from prior customers. Dinner and service was fantastic. We started with the beef tartare and for the entree I had a the ribeye and my wife had the filet mignon. My wife had a great cab franc with dinner while I enjoyed a scotch & soda. It Was so good, we went for a walk around the area and then we returned for more drinks. The bartender was so great. He gave us some scotch recommendations and we had a bit of a tasting. Luckily our hotel was a half block away. This will be my go to restaurant anytime I visit Sacramento.

   The food is good, the drinks are good, the atmosphere is nice, the friendliness is lacking. On the multiple times I’ve visited the waiter and staff were not that great or friendly. We put in our reservation and even reminded the hostess and waiter that we were celebrating my parents 60th wedding anniversary and no one even wished them a happy anniversary or even acknowledged it. I’ve never experienced this before at a restaurant when celebrating such a special event. I prob will not ever go back or recommend again. I’m a bit embarrassed that we even took our classy parents here to celebrate. 😣☹️

   This restaurant has become a favorite after two visits. I love that I can enjoy a small, light meal from the menu offerings. The ambiance and attentive service is a warm, relaxing draw.

   The creme brule was good. However, both the Rib Eye and the Sea Bass were undercooked (basically raw in the middle), the food needed salt, and the price was not worth it. I would not recommend this place.

   A cosy dining spot with indoor and outdoor seating, a small bar and ability to seat large or small parties. The ambiance is chic French Brasserie, low-lit. We were there on a Friday night; they had live music and the doors open to the outdoor patio tables. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable and skilled. I watched the bartender expertly prepare cocktails. Our server Clara is French and helped me with the pronunciation of menu items. The menu is small, with many traditional French starters and entrees. They have a nice wine list of mostly French wines. The Duck Confit Cassoulet was simply amazing - it brought back memories of our meals in Champagne and Paris. Add this one to your list for a romantic date night or to enjoy a Spring evening dining outside.

    The frites were delicious but the steak was fatty and poor quality. Maybe it was because it was a ribeye but disappointing nevertheless.

    This place is classy and lovely for brunch. We were there at 11AM and they were already out of the hamburger which was disappointing and I loved the french fries last time but this time they were soggy. I guess I have to ask for them crisp. The French Onion soup was outstanding, though.

    Open table allowed us to make a reservation at 5 o’clock but when we arrived the hostess seated us at the bar without any explanation. When I asked, she said that there wasn’t a table available for us. She treated us like an inconvenience and never once spoke to us in a friendly tone. She tried to tell us that we would get faster service at the bar, even though we never expressed that we were in a hurry. Even sitting at the bar food took a took an hour, and when it came, the pork chop was as hard as a piece of leather and too dry to eat. Very disappointing experience.

    Food was delicious. We shared a quiche Lorraine and each had a French onion soup. Service was very slow but gracious. We were attending the theater after which our server was aware of. Ordered dessert and asked for the check due to time so that we could settle the bill while we waited for dessert. Bill was not in line with the menu pricing (cocktail was priced on menu @ $9 and we were charged $14. Also, soup was priced at $9 for which we were charged $11). So, told the server about the discrepancy to which he responded that the “spirits” were never priced that low. Showed him the menu from which we ordered reflecting pricing and he said that’s an old menu but he agreed to honor the soup pricing but would not honor the cocktail pricing. Cancelled the dessert because we were going to be late for performance. He agreed to correct the bill for that. So we over paid a total of $10 but I did not have the time or patience to argue. We will not return. Also, would recommend a dress code for servers. Somewhat lazy looking. Thank you!

    Brasserie du Monde is a very pleasant eatery to have a before theatre/event dinner. Portions are the right size and artistically garnished. Service was unobtrusive and yet timely. The rib-steak was perfectly cooked and sauced yet provided my steak knife with a workout. Desserts are not to be missed however the chocolate toppings need to be selected with more care.

    Fabulous! First time having the pleasure of eating here and we will definitely be back. The french onion soup was the best I’ve had and the quiche lorraine was creamy with a flaky, buttery crust - a perfect brunch selection. My family enjoyed their entrees as much as I did mine. If you haven’t been I highly recommend you go!

    Our waitress (Sophia) was phenomenal! She offered us many variations and I ended up with the perfect meal. Food was really good. Had halibut, filet mignon, and beets. Food took a long time but that was fine.

    Our first time here. The food was wonderful and the prices were very reasonable. We had the spare ribs and the swordfish as our main entrees, opening with the seared ahi tuna appetizer. All food was cooked and presented very nicely. Despite the name, we didn’t see much (any?) French Cuisine on the menu which was the main reason for coming here in the first place. Also the cocktails were just so-so. Some interesting mixology on the menu but the execution was below average. Next time we come, we’ll be prepared to eat non-French food (LoL) and order off the wine menu. Note: they do have valet parking though we completely missed the sign when we drove by. It’s pretty small and hard to read while you’re driving.

    A nice place for business lunches. Excellent service and cozy French bistro ambiance. French menu with a nice selection of salads that are tasty and satisfying without throwing me into a food coma. They usually have a great playlist playing at perfect background music volume.

    The mussels with fries were the best we've ever had, and that includes traveling through Belgium, worth stopping in for those alone. The cocktails were great too, mix of old and new on the menu. The service and ambience were much to our liking. Our main courses fell flat for us, the meat was not especially tender or tasty. Some of the sides were delicious and the appetizers menu looked good too, and we will try more of those next time.

    Hostess and waitress both did not want to be there and made it very apparent they didnt want to be there. Big open windows were beautiful, but there is no blinds or drapes or shades of any kind, so the sun is blinding. Pair that with the tables being polished metal it's an overall unpleasantly bright/hot experience. Menu is small. The live music was nice, and the bus boys were a million times nicer and provided better service than the hostess and waitress. Overall, this place seems like its fronting as a high-end restaurant but cuts a lot of corners, so it is mediocre at best.
