Frozen Bourbon Milk Punch
The best adult milk shake you'll ever have. Available in a VEGAN option, too!
Great service, atmosphere and great people watching.
The crawfish & shrimp roll was totally burnt and way too fishy to eat!
I was there four year's ago service excellent food portions were small i brag how good Bourbon House just didn't live up to my standards and my Extended family was not im
Best oysters in NO. Very nice people and exceptional service. Seriously recommend to visit if you are in NO and are looking for best place for oysters.
Everything was perfect! Food, drink, service was wonderful! Would definitely come back again!
Beautiful restaurant- wasn’t busy when we went; service was great and food was delicious!
The food was good. We had a very nice but new server. The service was slow, we ordered an appetizer which we never got & had to have removed from bill. Most restaurants are having staffing issues so patience is required
The food was of only average quality. It did not seem that the in-house menu had as many choices as the menu that was online. The service was excellent but the experience was only average
Food was spectacular. Service was just ok, server wasn’t attentive and it wasn’t overly busy. Restaurant was beautiful as well
Wonderful atmosphere and food is always delicious! My wife and I just enjoyed our anniversary at Bourbon House a few nights ago. I would highly recommend this place for locals and tourists alike! The oysters are always wonderful here also!
Always a great time in New Orleans. The Bourbon House is a notch above the rest. Definitely will be back again.
The two hosts at the check in counter were not very good. In fact, I recommend you look for their replacements.
We were seated by groups of people during a still active pandemic; Food arrived cold; Paid $32+ for a seafood combination platter that consisted of 3 shrimp, 3 oysters, 3 slithers of fish and a bag of fries. The corn The service was excellent.
We dine at Bourbon House at least once each time we are in New Orleans. It is a time-honored oasis of excellent food, fine service and as elegant as it gets in the French Quarter.
Really nice place. The food and drinks were really good!
Second try for our anniversary. We had a reservation and were whisked to our table. Wait staff amazing - try to get him (Vince?) . Food was excellent, and manager was checking in everyone. Great suggestions and wonderful food and drinks!!
Great service and meal. Nice place to celebrate. Would recommend.
I was hoping that we would have an over the top experience at Bourbon House especially since we were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary, sadly we did not. The rib appetizer was exceptional - the wedge salad was terrific however the ranch dressing was a bit runny. The coffee rubbed steak was first delivered extra well done. I am not sure if it is because the server did not physically write down our order BUT the order was incorrect. It did not appear to have the seasonings that was indicated from the menu. When I showed our server that the steak was very well done and not medium well, he said “it’s too dark, I can’t see it” (exactly my point ordering a MEDIUM-well steak) however, it was promptly corrected and it was more visually appealing and had good flavor, not great but good. My daughter ordered the fried shrimp and the batter was burnt in the shrimp. My husband ordered the red bean burger and he said it was awful. Also, this burger apparently is NOT vegan for those who maintain a vegan diet. The food was just okay, I’m sure if you ordered seafood it might have been better. My experience dining at this restaurant was not over the top as the ambiance hints to. I’m certain that is because so many people come and go through this restaurant, it is difficult to offer genuine dining service. I would not recommend this restaurant if you want to have a true dining experience. It is more like an eat-n-go restaurant in my opinion. Aesthetically it is pretty and it has a great location.
Excellent food and the ambiance was second to none. Staff was very attentive.
Oysters and crab fingers are top shelf. Service and ambiance are great! The fried shrimp is average.
Seems like i have a new favorite restaurant. Food and service was great.
Our waiter was amazing. Restaurant was quiet so we were able to hold conversations. Food was good but not excellent. Very limited menu.
Waiter was wonderful and so was the food!!! Love the oysters and milk punch!!! Would definitely go back!
I have never eaten in a restaurant where bread was placed below the food to make it look larger.
This place came recommended to us from a good friend. We were very excited to spend our anniversary there. Once seated at our table, we were not greated by anyone for at least 15 minutes. There was a party of 5 near by and all wait staff and managers spent most of their focus on them vs any one else that was there. The food was decent but portions were not worth the price. Not sure if this is Covid reopening related, but was still a bit disappointing.
great food and great service
The appetizers and desserts were very good. Entree was not. Service was excellent. An additional 5% was addd to bill due to extra Covid costs. This was an ok experience, not exceptional! Will not be going back on our next NO visit.
Need more staff! But it is Covid season and no one wants to work.
The food was excellent.
The hostess was something else, she was turing away potential customers while the restaurant was empty and she was rude in doing it. She was also rude to us! We had reservations but wanted to enjoy the happy hour menu first. She told us there was no room for us to be in the bar...at first...then said we could sit at a high top table and then sent us to the Lobby Bar. She was not friendly and not helpful. Our server Bianca was amazing, able to answer all of our questions about the menu and provide a bit of New Orleans dining history also! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great for a quiet dinner with friends. Great location on Bourbon Street and great selection of bourbon. Get rid of the rude hostess and it would have been perfect!
Always a pleasure to dine here! Great service and food, and the bourbon milk punch is divine!
We were disappointed to be seated in the bar after making a reservation. Even with reduced personnel, there were staff and tables in the dining room. The bar was okay, but not what we expected.
We DID very much appreciate the anniversary "bourbon shake" served after dinner. Really wonderful!
Server did a very fine job.
Very good service with the exception of some upselling. Food was average to good. Entrees included gumbo, redfish on half shell, shrimp and grits, and stuffed merlitons. Also had chargrilled oysters as a starter. Atmosphere was good but not outstanding. Pretty heavy and casual tourist crowd.
Would never go there again. The area around the table and the table were filthy. The hostess ignored but when the server changed tables. We had reservations for the dining room but seated in the bar. Food OK.
Best gumbo in Nola!! We tried everywhere and bourbon houses was our favorite!
We had an amazing time and the food and drinks were phenomenal. The Bourbon Milkshake is a must have! Definitely set up a reservation and make sure you don’t miss it! You won’t regret it.
Milk punch is a must get. BBQ shrimp PO-boy is awesome.
Fabulous Oysters & cocktails. Don’t waste your time standing in line at Acme or Felix!!
We stopped over for lunch. Bourbon house has been closed for 3 days of our trip and when we got to the front door a new sign had showed up that they were opening at 2pm. Open table thought let us make a reservation for 1pm. Updated the reservation on the app but then had to find a place to spend time till 2pm.
The hostess sat us in the back bar. It was super quiet and the bartender was our server. He was nice to us but you can tell he was having a bad day as he would be taking to other workers and you could hear him complaining. This completely ruined our experience as I am a fond believer in if your gonna complain you make sure whoever you are serving or customers do not hear you.
Food and drinks came out with good timing.
The bourbon milk punch was amazing and definitely would come back to take it to go. Food was delicious.
The food was wonderful. Drinks great and server attentive. Wonderful experience. 2nd time eating there. Both times excellent
