We were on vacation and ate in very good restaurants in LA, Santa Barbara, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and Napa. This was the best meal of the trip. Excellent food that never dissapoints
I always like going to the Boulevard whenever there is opportunity. The food is delicious. The place is very elegant!
This was a extraordinary experience. We enjoy being there again. We'll come back as many times as possible.
Everything was amazing-ssrvice, food, etc. Ambiance is a little dark in there, maybe a few more lights
We go to Boulevard every year for our anniversary and just celebrated our 10th with them. Always an incredible meal and experience overall. Such a lovely restaurant, staff are top notch and food is just fantastic. Definitely a go to for special dining experience!
Amazing food and service. Boulevard never disappoints!
Wonderful family dinner
Lovely from start to finish. Spectacular view from the table of the bay bridge. All items ordered were delish. Never felt rushed. A definite evening to remember.
We went to the Boulevard to celebrate my birthday. Everything was perfect regarding the dining experience. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was superb. It exceeded our expectations. We hadn't been to this restaurant for dinner in several years and we saw how the management and staff are not resting on their laurels, but rather getting better. My birthday was mentioned on the reservation and we were pleasantly surprised that I was given a birthday card, as well as a birthday dessert treat. We will definitely be back, even if it isn't a special occasion.
Table service was slow.
Very nice. Staff was very friendly and accomodating
We were celebrating our anniversary reservation at blvd.
Service were terrible and table is not nice(center).
dinner was such a disappointment.
Would not currently recommend.
For $100 per person(Wine and Steak), too many other great restaurants. Will not be returning.
Great value and always reliable gourmet food preparation
Boulevard is an old favorite. Somewhat crowded interior, but very good food and excellent service.
Second time at the restaurant. Always a great night! Would recommend.
Our service was extremely slow. Our waiter came to take our drink order after 10 minutes of being there and then brought drinks and then disappeared for 20 minutes more before we had to flag him down to take our order. Then our appetizers came very late and then the waiter came over after 30 minutes to apologize and say the kitchen was “backed up” so brought us a small appetizer to appease us.....which was nice. But then 20 minutes longer our entrees came. It was too bad because we have had very good service in the past and we took a couple that had never been there.
A must stop for us each time we visit San Francisco. Birthday and Mother's Day dinner. Everything was outstanding. No detail is missed. Highly recommend.
We were celebrating our 18 year wedding anniversary and our dinner at Boulevard was spectacular!
Always a favorite‼️
Thanks very much,
We love this restaurant! They have great cocktails and a nice wine list. The service and food is exceptional. Every time we have a chance to recommend a place to eat in SF, Boulevard is at the top of our list.
This has been one of my favorite San Francisco restaurant for so many years. I loved it. But the last night we dined there was such a disappointment. The service was average and rushed. Two appetizers were served, and I had to ask about the second two appetizers of my guests which arrived 19 minutes later. The scallop appetizer looked as if it had been plated by a child who had just learned to cook. It was a mess and I sent it back. My halibut was over cooked and dry. I’ve had better food on an airplane.
Food was very good with traditional American approaches to fish chicken and beef. Atmosphere was business friendly near financial district. We stopped in San Francisco at end of vacation on way back to Philadelphia. So likely could have picked restaurant less business and more family oriented but ratings drew us to try and invite cousin who lives local. Bottom line is we enjoyed but could have picked a place less stiff.
The noise level was so high that we had to shout so that we could converse. It was so loud that it became intolerable and I had to take out my hearing aides. It was an ordeal and we couldn't wait to leave and be relieved of the painful experience. Also, the wait staff was not very attentive.
Not very impressed with the quality of the food. Just okay, especially for the price.
The last time Boulevard received an award, as evidenced by the plaques on the walls, was in 2012 and it’s clear to see why. We waited quite a bit for someone to take our cocktail order. And although my burrata appetizer was very good, my halibut entree and accompanying side was so overly salted as to be inedible. Having just moved to San Francisco, my husband and I have been trying to discover restaurants we enjoy and can frequent. A few locals told me that Boulevard has passed its prime and now caters mostly to tourists. I’m sorry to say that they were right. We will not be returning to Boulevard anytime soon!
The food quality and service were exceptional! The portions were generous and the food presentations were beautiful. Our party of four enjoyed a memorable evening in San Francisco. We will definitely visit Boulevard and chef Nancy Oakes the next time we are in the city.
Always a top choice for a business meal. The service was flawless and friendly, and the food -incredible.
Boulevard is awesome as always. Never disappoints.
It is always a treat to dine at Boulevard. With advance reservations, we were seated by the front door even though many empty tables for 2 were available (the entire time we were there) closer to the middle of the restaurant where it is much more vibrant. Wonder why? At least we could here ourselves talk up front.
Boulevard is one of my all-time favorites! Its starts with the atmosphere and seating, which both suggest a lovely dining experience awaits you. The service is impeccable from start to finish and, as importantly, the staff really knows the menu and is capable of making nuanced suggestions. The kitchen is also extremely accommodating. The wine list is wonderful and not at all unreasonable. The sommelier is gracious and knowledgeable. As for the food, every dish appears to be prepared with love and attention to each exquisite detail. You almost hesitate taking the first bite as you appreciate the artistry in the presentation. This past week, I tried all three starter salads, and each one was better than the next. Were I forced to choose a favorite, it might be the burrata, honey pickled green strawberries and arugula as the burrata was perfection absent the delicious ingredients that surrounded it. The petrale sole and crab were a lovely combination with English and snap peas. But, my favorite entrée was the asparagus (green and white), risotto and summer truffles. Each bite was a taste of heaven. While not necessary, if you have room, the desserts are fabulous. I thoroughly enjoyed a warm pineapple upside down rice pudding cake with caramel sauce as well as the lemon oil cake with strawberries. A very pleasurable dining experience awaits you. A special note, in addition to being gracious to parties of diners, the restaurant has always been particularly welcoming to a woman business traveler, which includes thoughtful seating where you can enjoy the dining experience to its fullest.
Truly amongst my top five restaurants, globally. I always try to dine here when traveling to SF.
Excellent food and range of options.
Great food & excellent service. Outstanding!!!!
The dinner was for a friend who had received an award that evening. From the appetizers, through the main course (loved the lamb) and then the desserts, everything was excellent. The service was very attentive throughout the meal. I definitely will return to The Boulevard.
Super spot and excellent food. Wine list extensive with some good value options.
Exquisite in every way is my first reaction to a call for comment on this restaurant. From the receptionist, to the coat checker, to the variety of waiting staff, all were serviceable, and friendly but not overbearing. But the food . . . ah! the food! Not only were the ingreditents fresh and vibrant, but the combination of those ingredients and sauces and reductions were unequalled. We were so completely satisfied with Boulevard, that, right on the spot we made reservations for another occasion at the end of the month.
Very friendly and professional staff. Food choices are great. Great for special occasions. We have only dined here a few times but everyone remembers us. Valet parking in front is a great, no hassle option.
Our meals were all creative and smartly served. Highlights were scallops and salmon and, of course, the deserts which were very special and quite filling. Service was impeccable and the server was excellent on describing items and graciously defined those terms we did not fully understand. White wines ordered by the glass good but bottle of red recommended was a bit dry, lacking the flavor we expected. Prices were on high side but the product matched the cost. And best of all, you can talk to those at the table at normal voice levels. It is one of our very favorite places.
Excellent food - I especially enjoyed the duck. They have a very nice wine selection. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered recommendations.
