London’s Boqueria is an exciting tapas restaurant located on Brixton’s Acre Lane. Unique in its pedigree, Boqueria is entirely inspired by Barcelona’s iconic El Mercat de San Josep de la Boqueria, a famed market synonymous with Spain’s food and wine. With this in mind the Boqueria team seek to introduce diners to the most traditional flavours of Spain in a setting that really wouldn’t look out of place along the streets of Barca. Forget everything you might have learned in the conveyor belt tapas joints of London and settle in to enjoy the authentic recipes of true tapas bars - dishes made using fresh ingredients, specialty Spanish ingredients and just a sprinkling of creativity to capture the real essence of Espana. As important to the Boqueria experience as food is drink. On the wine list is a small selection of only high quality Spanish wines while a specialty menu of sherries and cavas complements the menu and brings a fresh perspective to dinner time drinks.

    Quite apart from the food - which is reliably delicious - the staff are lovely. Really friendly and helpful and jolly - icing on the cake!

    Great tapas, authentic and modern. Beautiful restaurant too! Get the aubergine with honey. The best tapas I’ve had outside of Spain!

    It was a great meal and the wine was amazing. The only slight negative was it was a little chilly where we were sat in the basement but apart from that we had a lovely evening and will come back soon!

    Boqueria is my local 'go to' restaurant because, without fail, the food is always absolutely delicious. The tastes are fresh and authentic and I would highly recommend that you call by if you are in the area.

    Always good and this time was no exception. A great selection on the main menu and we had a couple of the 'specials' that were really tasty. The service was spot-on.

    Fabulous food, staff always warm, welcoming and helpful. Atmosphere always buzzy but not too noisy. Love it!

    Delicious food - as always - with some excellent daily specials as well as the main menu. My only complaint was that when we ordered a second round of dishes - because the first was so yummy - there was a misunderstanding with one dish, and then even the replacement was the wrong dish (but we didn’t have the heart to tell them it was wrong again so we ate what we were given instead of what we had ordered).
