I felt like having Asian food, so my husband and I were there for our anniversary dinner. We ordered some steamed buns for a starter and the fillings were delicious. The buns were pretty hard. We've had them before and they were really fluffy and light. You could see when you bit into them that they hadn't risen enough. We also ordered the Bone marrow, which we were told would take a while to prepare. We've eaten Bone Marrow in several restaurants, so we were really excited to try it here. When it arrived to the table, it was still bloody and the gelatin didn't release from the bone. It wasn't a pleasant dish. The bowls we both ordered were covered with a thick layer of fat. I love fat, but this was just greasy.
Overall, it will not go down as one of our favorite meals.
Food was salty. Not a fan. Service was terrific. Small place. Kinda uncomfortable too.
The bao bins were not good at all. They looked undercooked and weren’t fluffy. They were dense and the flavors were not good.
The pu pu platter were okay but nothing special. The only thing we tried that was good was the bone marrow. However, the bread for that was starchy and dense and too chewy
Just delicious. Really, really, really delicious. Great service and location as well.
Went here for dinner with my adult children. The appetizers (wings, brisket dumplings, mango salad and crab cake) all were delicious. Our mains were fine, but less impressive. The chicken with vegetable and noodle stir fry was flavorful but overly salty. The pork udon bowl was good but a bit one note. We ended with the chaco taco which was huge and amazing. We'll be back!
Bones is consistently excellent, with a delicious Asian-inspired menu and outstandingly friendly service.
Just okay. Service was fine. While ingredients were high quality, execution left something to be desired. Poke bowl and brisket dumplings were bland and under seasoned. With so many other options in Denver, I most likely won’t return. Thank you.
The food was fantastic, great drinks and service. The soft shell crab steamed bun and pork belly steamed bun were delicious. The lobster is always phenomenal
Food was good, service was outstanding, I had to wash all of the clothes I was wearing because they smelled like grease when i got home.
The buns were delicious, as was the crispy cauliflower and Brussels sprouts dish. Great cocktails! And love the silver chopsticks (just sayin'). Sat outside for a little urban chaos, which somehow felt just right. Enjoy!
Love the buns!
Stirfry sauce a little too much.
Bones was great! It’s super small, so if you’re going on a weekend I would absolutely recommend a reservation. It was the perfect night for soup—I got the lobster ramen and my boyfriend got the pork udon; both were amazing and we had leftovers! With buns, another app, ramen and two drinks, our bill was much lower than we expected. We will be back!
We had a wonderful dinner with friends and the staff took super care of us! Thanks for a memorable night.
I love this place!! I’m a regular!!! So good so great!!
Terrible ramen. Do not order ramen there. Stick to the pork belly buns and sake. That’s all they can do well.
I love the cozy atmosphere and energy of the small restaurant for Bones, it's a great space for the delicious menu! I do prefer fresh hand made noodles for Ramen due to the texture and quality, we were happy they do provide rice-noodle substitutions for Gluten-free. The Crispy Brussels Sprouts were great as well as the Spicy Red Miso Crispy Chicken Ramen & Lobster Ramen. Looking forward to trying the Green Papaya Salad!
Super star service and had fun sitting at the bar watching our masterful chefs prepare dinner. We ate too much even though we shared an entree (we tried the 2 for $40 dinner). Can’t wait to go again.
Amazing noodles and pork buns!! Would be back for sure.
had the crispy chicken ramen bowl, SO had the lobster ramen. both were incredible with really dynamic flavor profiles! My favorite was the appetizer we had- Escargot Potstickers. Such a fun twist on a common starter! Will be returning for sure.
Always lovely, very tastey, huge portions. Great treat!
A single review for this place is hard. I'd give a full 5 stars, without a doubt, to their Bao Buns. They are absolutely the best in the Denver, no doubt. But their ramen is not that good. We keep trying over the years but it's never been that good and once again when we recently visited it was not great. There is such better ramen in Denver. But come for the Bao Buns! Seriously, worth a visit just for these. We will be back for the buns for sure.
Service was great - it was my birthday so our waitress brought over champagne sake! She also ended our night with a birthday dessert. Great space.
Small restaurant but all the food was amazing! We tried three types of ramen and they were all outstanding. Great place for a small group for dinner.
Bones is always a reliable place to find a satisfying lunch that is not "the usual".
I ordered the wagyu beef ramen and added an egg, while my friend chose the pork belly udon. When the food came out my egg was missing but the waitress was actually the one to notice and promptly corrected that. The beef ramen was quite tasty but the broth was REALLY beefy (almost too much), they were very generous on the actual wagyu amount which was tender and delicious though. The real star was the pork belly though, everything about it was perfect. Overall we had a really good experience, the service is very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back when I need a ramen fix.
It's a great space, very small and connecting. The food was good overall, however there were some mistakes made with the ordering that were handled poorly.
We came for restaurant week. Very good food. Good service. I would come back for a nicer dinner.
Went to Bones for restaurant week. I had dined here previously a few years prior and loved it. I ordered the blushing geisha cocktail which was very tasty to start and ordered the crab bun, the pork udon, and the sticky rice with mango. The appetizer was ok nothing extraordinary, the entree was giant and very delicious, and the dessert was a total let down. It wasn’t sweet at all and the mango was hard and not ripe at all. I would recommend either taking it off the menu or working on the recipe. Service was prompt during all of our dishes but took a long time to get us the bill and a long time to pick it back up. The dining space is very small and the day that we were there it was freezing outside and they had fans running inside. After this experience I don’t think I’ll be going back unless I’m just getting an entree. The ramen is amazing though so there is that.
Bones was great. I am surprised this was my first time here living in cap hill for over 2 years. I had the lobster ramen. It was very very good. The portions were a bit on the small side for how much you pay but it was delicious. Bao buns were to die for. Probably the best I had had. The service was great. The restaurant is very small so I suggest making reservations. Parking can be tricky- only street parking. Overall, I would go again.
Good price for Denver’s restaurant week menu
We had the Cucumber Salad, Steamed Pork Belly Bun, Green Curry with Tofu and Pork Udon. Everything was yummy. The Udon was mild. The curry was medium spiced. With free Valet parking, it couldn't be easier to enjoy a great meal. We'll be back!
Ramen was amazing. Service was great. Amazing experience
This restaurant was delicious and was perfect for a date night.
We had never been here before and wanted to try something new for our anniversary dinner. Both of us agreed that we could not have picked a better spot for us. We tried all different kinds of new foods with new flavors. My wife is not a fan of anything spicy. However, that night she ate anything they made. The Spicy Crispy Chicken Ramen is amazing, but it is spicy. These folks know how to cook spicy well. It is enjoyable and doesn't just make you sweat all over your meal.
We thought this place was so good, our son wants to go on his 9th birthday to see what all the fuss is about!
Bones is one of our favorite spots. One of the best ramen dishes in town!
Love this place. Everything on the menu is AWESOME! Our friends enjoyed it too--it was their 1st time.
Had buns, ramen and the crispy brussel sprouts and cauliflower. The buns were pretty good. So was the ramen -- not amazing but good. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower were awesome. I love the open kitchen and how small it is.
Great service and excellent food. We both enjoyed the experience. Seemed to be a very authentic Ramen experience. Small space and intimate atmosphere due to close quarters.
Sobs and pork buns. Fantastic as always. My fav buns in the city.
