What Insiders Are Saying
Bones in Capitol Hill has a small but reliable Asian fusion menu, and patio and the open kitchen make it a surprisingly great place for a date
The lobster ramen was amazing!!
I want to eat their escargot potstickers for the rest of my life. There were some minor issues like being charged for something we didn't order but it was taken care of efficiently. I definitely want to go back!
Always loved Bones, but haven’t been there in a few years. Food was not nearly as good as before. The place seems to be Frankie Bananas’ forgotten red headed stepchild.
It took over 45 minutes from ordering to being served. and then my ramen was cold and frankly not all that tasty. Service was inattentive at best and impossible to find most of the time. Sorry to say all this, but have to be honest.
The ramen was very flavorful. The poke was alright. We didn’t order very much but the service and ambiance was outstanding. Great date spot also great deal overall for price.
The lobster Ramen had no flavor. I was so disappointed.
Everything was exceptional.
Excited for the construction to be done, but amazing food as always - one of the best HH’s around for sure!
It wasn't busy, but it took a long time to get our drinks. The biggest problem was the LOUD music. My friend and I had to shout to each other in order to be heard.
Really awesome like always. Went for someones birthday this like and brought his parents with and we all just really enjoyed it.
Our reservation was ready when we arrived. The wait staff was incredibly pleasant, helpful, and attentive. We tried the escargot potstickers which were full of amazing flavors. The menu is full of varied options and while we chose the summer special poke bowls, we are excited to go back and try even more. The pork belly steamed buns were an absolute treat. The poke bowls (shrimp and tuna) were delicious and filling, but light for a warm summer day. Can't wait to go back!
Our favorite dining experience in Denver...bar none! You wanna treat...Wagyu beef tartare and escargot pot stickers. Chef is a maestro!
My mother and I went to Bones for a girls night out. We wanted to try somewhere new in Denver, and we were very satisfied with our experience. The steamed buns were delicious and a perfect sized appetizer for two. I ordered the lobster ramen, and my mother ordered a yellow-tail poke bowl, and both entrees were absolutely delicious. All in all, our experience was wonderful. I will just note that Bones is a small restaurant, so we were seated sandwiched between a four top and another party of two, so it was pretty loud, but it did not take away from the experience. This restaurant seems perfect for a nice night out, and did not completely break the bank as some fine dining locations do.
Bao buns were disappointing and cocktail was watery. Good location and wait staff was relatively friendly.
Amazing! Always satisfied, you’ve gotta get the pork buns.
Great place pork buns are excellent. The servers were very didcated and attentive. Really enjoyed the experience.
Bones is as always a great dinner destination! The food options are fantastic. I am torn between my favorite (lobster ramen - beyond amazing) and trying new incredible dishes. My family always asks to come here when they are in town.
Service quite good but didn’t follow through with great service towards the end of our meal and bday celebration.
Very tasty food, poke was fresh and had a bite to it, Chiken sandwich was tender and crispy
the wait staff messed up all of our orders and to boot the restaurant changed the menu but I think they also change the recipes as well because it was nothing my wife or had the last time we stopped by. One of the members at our table ordered a ice coffee AND she brought out a SODA! With sweet condensed milk on the side. I mean the shishito peppers had some red stuff sprinkled the taste was all off, the last time I think it was coheita cheese. We also ordered the bone marrow appetizer there was no salt on the table and when the staff DECIDED to see how we were doing the dish was all cold. I had ordered the same dish as my wife and here I was eating something entirely different. Well as to say that the evening was a bust or it fall FLAT!
Delicious! We just moved from Cap Hill to Governor's Park. I used an Open Table reward to treat us to a tasty weeknight meal a quick walk away. The food and service were great. The only thing that made our experience less than perfect was the music. While I love alternative (and it was clear the staff does, too), the genre was intrusive and for us, spoiled the vibe. Something uptempo but more chill would have been ideal. No worries, though; we'll definitely return.
Food was great, service was a little slow, especially considering it was middle of the week and not super busy. Well worth it.
I took myself here for my birthday, family being elsewhere. Starting with bao, I chose 2 duck and 1 pork belly. Duck was tasty and succulent, but the pork belly was scrumptious! I'll have 3 of those next time! Then on to Lobster Ramen which was beyond excellent -slightly chewy noodles, perfectly cooled lobster, and an intensely lobster broth. YUM!
We started with the brussel sprouts which were amazing and then got the lobster and wagyu beef ramen bowls and both dishes were sooo good. We got to sit outside on a beautiful night and thoroughly enjoyed our food and sake. Definitely reccomend!
VERY loud music. Had to shout to be heard above it. Also, this place is pricier than I thought.
That pork udon is 2delicious2me.
EXCELLENT RAMEN AND APPETIZERS . I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMMEND BONES TO ANYONE WHO LOVES NOODLES!
There is nothing better than the Lobster Ramen! Don't miss it!
I also recomment sitting at the bar and watching all the action in the open kitchen.
Great service and food in a low key environment. It has a hole-in-the wall meets upscale food and drinks experience kind of vibe. My kind of place.
As a lover of ramen I was thoroughly pleased with my meal. I had the braised pork and udon ramen and found it quite delish. My bf had the spicy chicken and while it was more traditional ramen it didn't lack in any flavor or complexity. Will be returning!
We have eaten here a few times. LOVE the escargot potstickers. The crispy chicken ramen was much better this time( much more flavorful) than last time ( don't know why) but overall the food is consistently good. It's a small place and you need to make reservations which sometimes stinks if you want to just stop in on a whim.
Lobster noodle pot is outstanding and the service excellent. Everyone is always so friendly and genuinely seem like they love their work! Highly recommend. And with the Open Table reservation you are treated with highest priority, did not wait for our table while others without reservations before us did.
Buns were great, fantastic Ramen. Huge win and cocktail list. Will def frequent again.
Appreciate the friendly staff and ability to make a quick reservation and meal order by phone/online.
Everything would have been perfect if it wasn't ruined by the MASSIVE amount of garlic they put in the ramen. The noodles and meat would have been delicious, but we couldn't stand to get halfway through it before giving up. I like garlic, but not like that. If they lessened the garlic, this would be an incredible place. But it was seriously that bad, I'm sorry.
Awesome place!!! I have a new love for Soba and Tuna!
I heard great reviews of Bones and was excited to go out for my birthday. I was throughly disappointed. Prior to attending I made a request to have a window seat and to inform them we were celebrating an occasion. We made a reservation and arrived to find out they didn’t have a table ready for us. Not only were we seated at the crowded bar and never given a table but the service was not attentive. The food was okay but I have had much better for the price. Overall I would not recommend, especially not for a special occasion.
Bones overall was very good. The service was fantastic and they offered a variety of meal options. I can be a bit picky over certain styles of Asian food but i can't fault the restaurant on this.
We tried Bones for the first time and we really enjoyed the food that we ordered. We will return!
The lobster ramen wasn't as good as I remembered, but the steamed buns were delicious. They weren't very busy, but it took quite some time for our server to come over and get our drink order. The service most definitely wasn't up to my standards, and likely won't be going back for quite some time.
