About this restaurant

Permanently Closed - Bond & Brook is a glamorous restaurant & bar serving a delicious selection of all day dishes from brunch through to lunch. The space is a gleaming white space, perfectly accessorised with a shimmering cocktail bar and library of fashion books, conveniently located in the heart of Mayfair at the Fenwick store on Bond Street.

Bond & Brook is the first project from conception to completion by "rhubarb" and A Private View – the partnership of Evening Standard restaurant critic Fay Maschler, and journalist and broadcaster Simon Davis.

One of London's finest afternoon tea menus is served between 3pm - 6pm offering a classic selection of finger sandwiches, couture cakes, homemade buttermilk scones and Tea Palace teas.

The food is fresh, original and stylish and this fashion conscious space has received critical acclaim from the likes of Tatler's restaurant guide and Esquire magazine.

I was on my honeymoon in London. At the time of booking, when I looked through menu, it was not specifically mentioning about the time available for afternoon tea, so I was exited to try this restaurant's tea menu. As we arrived at the restaurant, we figured the afternoon tea is not available at 1:15. We had other schedules follows that, so we only had drinks and left. So sad that I could not try that menu. Maybe next time when I visit London.

The food was average but the portions were very small and overpriced. The restaurant was trying to be more up-market than anything. Also the staff were not very friendly or welcoming. I would not go back again.

The staff smiled but other than that were not very attentive, and considering there were only 4 tables of people and 4 members of staff they should've been more readily available. The food was nice, well presented and not bad value, but regarding the service we were not provided with clean plates for desert items and the tea didn't go very far for two people. I don't think I will be returning because despite the reasonable price I'd rather pay more for the good service other locations have had to offer.

I didn't realise it is inside a department store. Portions are tiny.

Cool ambience in a good location. Good range of tapas style options with vegetarian options. Sardine on risotto was the standout dish for me. The beef was also good.

Great service, friendly staff & centrally located. Food was delicious. Only point, would be good to highlight that it is inside Fenwicks.

The restaurant looked very nice and posh, but the food was not good. We went for afternoon tea and the jam for the scones was horrible. The service was bad, no one looked after us. It was not worth what we paid. Will not be coming here again.
