Fantastic food & good portion sizes for a great price. One of our absolute favourite places to eat out and get takeaway. Fast service and very welcoming staff. I would especially recommend the Chicken tikka masala. Love this place, will definitely come again!

Very poor experience. The service is shambolic and shockingly disorganized. The ambience felt like being in a doctor's waiting queue with harsh lighting and lack of any decor. Food was abysmal, no flavoyrs yet such chilly level that made it inedible, and there was not a single dessert available as no stocks for the day had arrived. Shocking really!

We had the chicken green masala and chicken Balti. Both were v tasty with plenty of good quality chicken breast. We didn’t have starters but another customer has the chicken momo, which looked really nice and plenty for 2 people. The staff were lovely. Very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the Bombay Bicycle Chef for a relaxed meal out.

Food was delicious. We had an starter and 2 mains with rice and bread and it was perfect. Service was good, maybe a bit slow but there was only one person serving. I'd definitely recommend.

Great food. When they put chillis next to the item on the menu they mean it!! Great spice makes for great food. Excellent value too. Service is not the quickest though!

Onion Bhajis disappointing, dry, crumbly, with no real onion presence. Lamb Biryani arrived not with the expected vegetable curry but a tub of raita. The staff explained that vegetable curry was only served with takeaway orders. But they provided it after our request - thanks. Cold plates - hot would be nicer. Not all the main course dishes arrived at once - the staff explained that the volume of takeaways was slowing the kitchen output - but together would have been better. Had the feeling that takeaways were being prioritised over the live diners. Our guest was not impressed with the Green Chicken Tikka Masala, but was given a full refund - thanks ! No toilet paper in the ladies - but quickly remedied after we mentioned it. Noise levels unacceptable, noisy diners nearby but hard surfaces don't help at all. At the present state of ambience we would not come back to the restaurant but would certainly order takeaways. The staff were lovely and tried to make us welcome and they did their best. Altogether, a few minor faults, which if rectified would make our next visit much more enjoyable. Thanks

absolutely amazing food as usual, service was slow at times but waiters are always happy to help and can’t do enough to make you feel welcome. i love ordering takeaway from the battersea branch and this was my first time sitting in with my family- they all loved the food and would come back again

I had the best experience with my friend, the food was amazing and the quantities were really big for the price. The staff was also very nice and were great at recommending things to try or letting us know if it would be too much for us two. Overall it's a must eat in London!

We’ve been customers of the takeaway in Battersea for a few years. The same level of food and friendliness has been taken to the restaurant in Balham. We booked for just me and my wife although we have previously visited with a friend. The ambience was nice without being too loud with a steady flow of custom ranging from couples to groups who had been out for the day at local events. The service is friendly is personable, the staff remembering my wife from our previous visit in late April. The food itself is outstanding. Beautiful spices, heat where asked for in the menu, the breads cooked without too much butter and no discernible oil swimming on curries which can be a turn-off elsewhere. The flavours are magnificent. We had the signature Bombay Chicken (which packs a punch) alongside the Chicken Dhansak and the Shahi Paneer - all were great. I hope they do a great trade at the restaurant. They’ve taken a risk moving from the takeaway and delivery model solely and deserve it to pay off. One of the best curries around.

Staff gaveus very warm welcome, Very lovely Indian music in background. The food is really mouthwatering and waiting time is very less. Service is outstanding. Best value for money. I will 100% recommend for Indian food. I will suggest the Ower to introduce more Vegetarian starters and mains. Overall 🇮🇳❤️5 STARS ❤️🇮🇳

This place is great! The best curry around and that includes better than Dishoom, they put a lot of effort into their food and I will always come back here, nothing beats this curry!

Restaurant is pleasant if a bit dark inside. Service is professional if not a bit slow-very set way of them asking for drinks then food, then take all the menus then bring out starters then mains. Some confusion with drinks ordering. They don’t really clear anything during service so we had a tonne of plates/empty glasses cluttering the table while they were trying to serve us further food. Food is fine. Was quiet at the beginning of the evening but was getting noisy as we were leaving and larger groups were coming through. Overall not a terrible experience but it is hard to think of anything really special about this place.

The service was excellent and attentive. A few large bookings came in when we wanted the bill, and the staff were concerned they couldn't attend to us quick enough. Food was good although some items weren't cooked the way we would prefer but not bad.

Very good quality food. Friendly staff but at times could have been a bit less pushy to order and attentive in preparation of table etc. atmosphere of restaurant not great as lights are too bright and furnished more as an American diner. That said, food is really tasty and good price. Will go back
