We gave the bartender 2 attempts at and extra dry vodka martini, and we had to pass and settle for a cosmo...small pours for $14....The good news is the manager comped it at the end of the night and apologized… We will go back to bowl there… The lobster salad was excellent!
Fantastic meal as always. Great service, great food.
You wouldn’t expect to have a delicious dinner at a bowling alley, but that’s exactly what happened. The service was good. The restaurant was very pretty, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend.
Our family of 6 is anxious to be together and go out to eat, but safely. Bol in Vail was the perfect place. Easy to find and fun. We didn't bowl, but looked in on the lanes and they are cool! The whole place is arranged for social distancing - the restaurant, bar and bowling alley. The drinks were delish. Mother's Mercy. The Prickly Pear Marg, beers, all good. And, the food. Wow. Mushroom flatbread - yes. Prosciutto and Argula flatbread and the Poke Ahi Tuna - all incredible. The three entrees are all you need to choose from and good luck. All very, very good and plentiful - especially after all those starters. The chicken, perfectly flavored breast cut for you, the burgers stacked a mile high and the Rueben is, too. Wait staff friendly and efficient.
The best way I can describe the food is... nonexistent. This is also how I’d describe the cocktails... nonexistent. We arrive for our reservation and were politely seated by the hostess and a short while later by our waiter. The first tip off should have been the angry faces on surrounding tables... but we ordered our cocktails and appetizers... and then departed half an hour later when the only think that came to our table was... of wait, nothing... yup after 30 minutes in solitude we left having never received a beverage, or our appetizers... I’d pass on this place. Complete disaster. If you want food, or drinks this is not your place. I’d you want a chance to sit uninterrupted with your thoughts then book here!
The food was delicious, the food delivery took extra time.
The food was excellent! For lamb lollipops were amazing and so were the short rib sliders. We may go again today for lunch! The service was super friendly and accommodating. We sat outside and watched people play ping pong and corn hole. Great place to people watch right outside of Solaris.
Good food; kind of a sports bar atmosphere with bowling alley in the next room
The food and service were both fantastic, and the vibe was great. The outdoor seating was set up really well, and we had an amazing time. Anyone visiting Vail should definitely have a meal here.
Great tapas and fun drinks. We sat outside and had a good view of all the kids running around the skating rink area. Always a favorite for a casual meal.
We were so curious to have a nice dinner as part of a bowling alley! Dinner was delicious. We could see the back room but could not hear any noise from bowlers.
Recommend highly. Service was attentive. I had a delicious lobster salad.
Great vibe and energy even with Covid! Bowling alley was a fun little surprise!
One of the best in Vail.
In Town for my honeymoon and had an awesome evening at Bol with my bride! The staff was very attentive and friendly!
We made a reservation and requested outdoor dining, upon checking in we were told that it would be at least a 30 minute wait and that 2 other groups were ahead of us as they were on a 1st come first serve basis. Reservation was meaningless.
Food was delicious
We celebrated 10 years together. Bol was exactly what we were looking for. The food was outstanding, service was quick and friendly. The ambiance reminded me of a lounge in a downtown major city but it was well priced. I loved that you could dress up or just show up in jeans. It’s family friendly or date night perfection. 10 out of 10 in my book.
Happy they were open. Seems they were busier than expected this leading to a slightly disjointed service. All in all, good food, decent value for Vail and great location.
Wings, outstanding. Salads were good. Half chicken was amazing.
We would go back for sure.
Food was good but service was really pretty bad. Slow, forgetful.
Got a great table outside. Service and food were excellent.
I absolutely love Bol. Our family have been dining there since it opened. Unfortunately, we chose to eat here for our first restaurant experience since covid. The wait staff made us feel so nervous, it wasn’t worth it. The night started with the waitstaff coming to our table to take our order with NO MASK ON! She then said, standing 2’ from us, “oh yeah, let me put my mask on.” Then, the person bringing us our food had his mask halfway down his mouth, not covering is nose whatsoever. I’m beyond horrified by this health negligence. I truly hope this turns around and the restaurant adheres to safety. It is a shame. We love it there.
Great stop while on summer vacation
If you do this through Open Table you don’t get bowling! We were very disappointed when we arrived at our reservation and found out that the bowling is a completely different reservation. So ... if you want to Bowl make a reservation with Bol directly because it won’t be connected with your Open Table reservation. The food is ok. The bowling the FOLLOWING NIGHT was so much fun! BOL was worth it so do that for sure!!!!
I would recommend Bol to friends but i would tell them it is so noisy, hard to talk across tables because tables are so wide.
Great restaurant and service. Thanks for the great experience!
Bowling reservations are separate than dinner reservations, book well in advance, alleys fill up quickly.
I am writing a review in hops that it will either be fixed by the restaurant or with OpenTable. Be careful when booking a reservation as it is ONLY a reservation to dine. If you want to reserve a lane and bowl then you have to do directly. Had this reservation for over a month and when we arrived we were told we did not reserve a bowling lane and were seated in main dining room.
Sat for 70 minutes before getting food (apps). This place is more of a bowling ally than a restaurant. The service was poor and the food was below average.
Service was so inattentive that we had to ask a manager to finish our meal with a dessert order and after dinner drinks. Very loud room.
Amazing upscale comfort food
I go a few times a year, and I’m never disappointed
One problem...the drinks seem watered down
We were close to the door and there was a constant draft so we were chilly. The grilled cheese and soup was good but the duck ramen was a little bland.
Took a long time to get a waiter to even come to the table.
Great Food and Service!
Food was okay not something out of the ordinary. You have to make a reservation ahead of time since they’re always fully booked
Menu is nice and varied - something for everyone. Decor is stark, industrial. Noise level is very high - probably due to all the hard edges. Service is pleasant and efficient.
Excellent food and service. Great for families and groups.
One of my favorite spots in Vail for the combination of food, drink and unique bowling fun.
We had the honey glazed pork ribs and lamb lollipops...outstanding ! Great service and yummy cocktails...cant wait to come back
For the price tag, expected the food to be better. There’s much better restaurants for less in the vail area. The bowling part was fun, so next time we won’t eat in the dining area and just do snacks while bowling.
