Boisdale of Mayfair British Restaurant, offering a shellfish bar and cigar heated terrace.

Located in converted listed stables on North Row, off Park Lane and decorated in distinctive design of red and dark green walls, rich mahogany panelling, with an eclectic collection of classical and modern original artwork.

The ground level Stable Bar offers draught ale, a superb wine list and Mayfair’s finest whisky list of rare malts, accompanied by nightly jazz & blues performances from the ‘Joanna’ piano.

Food was delicious, ambiance perfect, and excellent service. Altogether great value for money! Our female server (maybe Eastern European? did not catch her name) really was very good - engaged, upbeat, knowledgeable and able to read guest cues. I will definitely return!

The waitress seemed bothered by my questions and taking a bit longer than usually to order given i had to reanslate to non english speakers. The venue was not fully booked and therefore it was not an issue of taking up time to serve other tables. Food was great.

The cheese toastie small plate is delicious! Good thing it was a large portion because our main course of steak took another 40 minutes after we finished starters and the waiters at no point came to apologise for the delay or explain...it seemed to be normal course of business. Steak was however very well cooked so was worth the wait.

I love Boisdale in Belgravia but the Mayfair restaurant is terrible. The staff seem untrained, inattentive and not all that bothered. Our main course arrived terribly cooked and had clearly been sitting on the hot plate for ages. Given that there were only about four tables in total is unacceptable. Later in the evening the staff were eating at the bar and pretty inattentive. Really bad experience.

I have been to the Boisdale restaurant in Victoria a few times and always enjoyed it. The experience in the Mayfair one was really good, food and service alike! The only regret is the music started fairly later than planned and the band of the day were not that great.
