The food was phenomenal. Well worth a visit
Food is always good but my stomach really rejected it the next day for some reason. I had the french onion soup (has a veal broth base-very thick) and Caesar salad and they were tasty. The bread and butter are fabulous. Waiter was pretty good and the woman who welcomes you is always very friendly (a little more distracted than usual) but I would go back.
While the food on the menu was excellent, the restaurant was unable to adapt to dietary restrictions and the service was poor.
seriously - best hummus ever. the brussel sprouts were just okay. our order ended up just being crispy leaves. there weren’t any actual pieces in our order. service was excellent - what a lovely place for dinner.
Second time eating at Blue Plate. Each time left with the same impression. Some items on the menu are good, some are average. Nothing we ate blew us away but nothing was inedible. There are many places to go between Vail and Beaver Creak area for a significantly better culinary experience. With that said - got in with a last minute reservation during ski season and the bill was reasonable.
The sea bass was excellent. I will be coming back.
Great resort restaurant that provides good food at a fair price. Tapas 1/2 until 6:30 is awesome!
Friendly hostess and attentive service. Great food. The homemade bread was amazing. The meatloaf dish was unusual and very good (wished for more mashed potatoes)
The elk, meatloaf, Brie salad, and chicken skewers were great. The squash stew and schnitzel not appetizing.
I dont want to write anything, but this stupid form requires 50 characters. Blueplate:4.5 stars. Opentable review platform:0 stars.
Amazing food- ask for Kevin’s section he is a terrific waiter, best we ever had! Don’t miss eating here!
This was our first time here and we had some drinks and a lot of the tapas. We highly recommend the beef tips! It melted in our mouths that we ordered more ! Such a great evening after all the avalanche drama. :) We will return next time we come back to Avon!
Great food. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Recommended.
Very friendly and killed themselves to make me feel at home. GREAT and different food. It's totally original.
Great restaurant, we have been there a few times. My only complaint is that even with a reservation, you check in and then wait in a cramp reception area for up to 15 minutes to get a table. They don't seem to have enough staff to greet customers and take telephone calls etc.
Showed up on time for my reservation and Stood in the doorway for 20 minutes before someone was able to help me. Other than that good food and service
Great service -- and wonderful creative dishes. A pleasant surprise in Avon...we will be back next time we visit for a ski trip.
Menu was varied with great choices. Food and service were excellent. Personal were very helpful, friendly and informative. We enjoyed our visit.
The food was delicious. The lamb and chicken skewers were excellent. Service could not have been better.
Great atmosphere, food, and such a friendly hostess that makes you feel welcome and at home. The price was good. We had their yummy burger- mine without bun and subbed their great brussel sprouts for fries to make it a good Keto friendly meal. Busy- make a reservation!
Good food but slow service.
We had a double date night at the blue plate over Valentines Day weekend. It was a great experience! The food was awesome, but even better the staff was so great! Everyone was so friendly and fun! I would definitely recommend the Blue Plate to everyone!
Always good. We've had most items on the tapas menu, with repeats of brussel sprouts (the appetizer version), beet spread (delicious) and calamari. In addition, the meat loaf is exceptional and generous. Probably been here five times, and we're part-timers. Servers are friendly and responsive. Highly recommend.
Didn’t bring sugar with espresso, and we had to ask another wait staff member to bring it.
We were sat 40 minutes late, and then the waiter did not come by for another 10 minutes. 2 of our meals were undercooked. Very disappointed
Excellent food, value and vibe. The eclectic menu provides options for every palate.
We visit Blue Plate every time we are in the Beaver Creek area. The service and food are always fantastic. I especially enjoyed the beet appetizer, clam chowder and apfel strudel during my last visit. My friends ordered the fish and chips and the pork schnitzel and raved about both dishes! They always love the German (Austrian) Pils beer too! We can't wait to go back!
Food was delicious & all 4 in our party were very pleased with their dishes. The mussels were extraordinary!
Good was fantastically yummy! Our waiter Kevin was excellent and entertaining too!
We eat there quite often. Food is excellent Staff is knowledgeable. The schnitzel is the best in the Vail Valley. Strudel is fabulous
Delicious. Food is delicious
Our server was very weird! Looked so stressed every time he was on our table. Made us very uneasy
Great food. Friendly attentive staff. Can’t wait to go back.
Always consistently good service, menu selection, great food and ambiance. :-)
We've been skiing the Vail valley for years and have finally found a special, quality restaurant. Awesome cheese fondue! The portions aren't huge but everything was delicious. We will be back!
The meal was extremely disappointing. We both had the chicken skewers which were promised to be fantastic. The flavoring was fine but the chicken was nearly inedible. First off, normally when one gets chicken skewers they are chunks of white meat. The menu didn’t indicate either way, but on the rare occasion that I’ve had chicken skewers that were anything else, they were clearly labeled on the menu. It was hard to tell from the lighting but I’m guessing these were thighs or something else. As my teenage son worked to suppress his gag reflex, he described them alternately as slimy, squishy and gross. Those were apt descriptions. I did my best to eat them because I was extremely hungry from a long day on the slopes, but I only got through about half. We were so hoping to add Blue Plate to our Beaver Creek dining regulars, but there’s no chance in hell I’ll ever be back.
We always enjoy eating here. The food and service are always great.
Food was excellent as usual but waiter was underwhelming.
Three of us had two dinners at the Blue Plate, an instant replay which is already an endorsing comment. The food is eclectic but uniformly good in our experience. We all tried the schnitzel, which is superb (either pork or veal). I can also recommend the fish & chips, which has a gorgeous presentation (no rolled up newspaper to be seen). Desserts were fabulous. The wine list is very good, and the wine prices are quite fair. I particularly want to commend the servers for both nights we were there. They were friendly, precise, and made excellent recommendations. We were here two years ago, and came back because we remembered an excellent meal. We were right! Very highly recommended, esp. after a good day of skiing at Beaver Creek.
