To ensure this commitment to quality and freshness, Blue Island Oyster Bar has partnered with Chris Quartuccio of Blue Island Shellfish Farms in Long Island, NY to bring you a daily shipment of seasonal oysters and seafood favorites such as Steamed Mussels, Lobster Rolls, Stuffies, Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes, and fish like halibut, Icelandic cod, and salmon, to name a few.
Our approach is simple: create honest food and drinks and serve it in a casual environment. In short, we are inspired by the oyster farmers and fisherman from coast to coast, who strive to bring you great seafood at an approachable price.

The food was incredible, but the service was horrible. We were left with dirty plates and glasses on the table after courses, but were asked to keep our forks. I'm assuming, as a restaurant, there is more silverware available. On two occasions, our server poured water on either the table or one of our guests when refilling glasses. Our server picked up our credit card slips before we left, but never returned to the table to check on refills of water or coffee, all of which were completely empty.

The food came out overcooked for all meals ordered. I like this place but the meal was so bad, I may not go back. The only reason we may go back would because our server was great.

We had both raw oysters and a main course. Everything was fresh and delicious. Some of the oysters from some regions were exceptionally small while others were large. They were all flavorful. The clam pasta was a delicious treat. The service was great, especially for a busy Saturday evening. They know what they're doing there!

Our meal was fabulous was Valentine's Day the waiter was great the ambience was really nice we had a great time and enjoyed ourselves with friends and family I would definitely go back this Seafood risotto was one of the best I've had.

We asked for a table in the back as there it is more quiet. Our waiter was spectacular. Complimentary for Valentines Day New England style clam chowder was spectacular. It is a month with an”R” in it so we shared some raw oysters and they were something special. We ordered fish tacos, fish and chips and linguini with clams. The clams were quahog which are quite large and often rubbery if you are not familiar with them they might be a surprise but growing up in the northeast they did not dissappoint. The fish tacos has a mayonnaise dressing. My valentine is not a fan of mayo so she was not overly impressed. And the pollock fish and chips were special with what appeared a cornflake coating. The chips were wonderful. We will return for another seafood feast.

We had a great time because our server was amazing and made my cocktail delicious! However, we were unfortunately disappointed with the food. I have been here and it was great but the clams this time, in the clam pasta and the chowder were very tough and chewy. The lobster in my lobster roll was a bit chewier is well. I was kind of disappointed because the food has never been bad.

Our server was outstanding. Our food was very mediocre. This is a regular place we dine so am familiar with their fare. Two meals were sent back because the tuna was terrible. Three of our clam linguine dinners were lacking sauce and rich flavors as previously served (though now presentation is clever served in large clam shell. Cannoli is a definite skip.

Will definitely be returning. Quality oysters and superb lobster rolls, both a good selection. Our server Mark helped make the experience all worthwhile. Although a little pricey for what you get, overall excellent.
