Born in 2019 in Montreal, the Bloom concept has been based on the union of the love of sushi and the desire to safeguard ocean biodiversity. Under the leadership of chef Christian Ventura, Bloom has become a household name across the Atlantic with a wide range of both vegan and traditional customers. In 2022, Bloom is coming to Europe, with the first restaurant in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. Discover a varied selection of botanical sushi inspired by traditional Japanese recipes. All our sushi is 100% vegan: No mercury and no antibiotics. No use of fish flesh, seafood, or by-products in our recipes. Une très belle adresse ! Ayant testé un concept similaire ailleurs, j'ai préféré mon expérience chez Bloom. Le lieu est sobre mais efficace, avec une musique en fond qui n'implique pas de devoir crier pour s'entendre parler (Ah ce que j'aime ne pas devoir crier ;)). La carte offre une richesse de proposition mais le menu double a été exquis. Une découverte des principales offres de la carte, ce qui fait qu'à la fin on a pu apprécie une belle variété de bouchées sans être lourd mais repu. Les saveurs étaient réussies ! Je recommande

Waitstaff were nice but not attentive. I've been vegan for over five years and eaten at a vast variety of vegan restaurants. The food was not expensive, but unfortunately bad. Not sure how this restaurant could have possibly been rated by Michelin. Very surprising and disappointing.

Extrêmement déçue. J'avais appelé plusieurs semaines avant pour savoir s'il me serait possible de manger là-bas sachant que je ne peux pas manger de soja. On m'avait dit oui. Lors de ma réservation en ligne, j'ai bien précisé que je ne pouvais pas manger de soja. Après avoir reçu les menus, j'ai identifié plusieurs options qui semblaient sans soja. Après 15-20 minutes d'attente alors que le restaurant était quasiment vide, j'ai enfin pu demander la carte des allergènes. Et là, la directrice du restaurant m'a simplement déconseillé de manger ici, en me disant qu'il y avait du soja partout, que la personne au téléphone avait dû se tromper. N'étant pas allergique au soja, les traces de soja ne me font pas réagir, je n'ai d'habitude jamais de problème dans les restaurants japonais. Dans des makis aux légumes, je ne comprenais pas qu'il y ait du soja. Apparemment elles/ils en mettent simplement dans le riz de base. Je n'ai vraiment pas été satisfaite de l'attitude de la directrice, elle n'a même pas essayé de trouver une solution, d'adapter un plat, rien. Avec mon amie, après 20 minutes, nous nous rendions compte que nous devions changer de restaurant. Même pas une carafe d'eau nous avait été apportée. Dans un restaurant végétal, où l'on pourrait croire qu'il y a une compréhension des intolérances et des choix alimentaires, et où les prix sont relativement élevés, je m'attendais vraiment à un meilleur accueil. C'est vraiment super que des restaurants vegan comme celui-là existent, je ne remets pas en question la qualité des plats, j'en ai entendu beaucoup de bien. Mais le manque de formation des employé·e·s sur les allergènes, la non-prise en compte des précisions sur le site de réservations, pas de carafe d'eau pendant 20 minutes dans un restaurant quasiment vide, et une réaction aussi peu compréhensive ne me donnent pas envie de recommander ce restaurant. D'autant plus quand d'autres ont su adapter leurs plats avec beaucoup d'attention et de bienveillance.
