Bloom & Bee
Very nice menu and the food was very nice. Service was slow but good. Restaurant was busy - which is a good thing, with a good buzz and a good vibe. Valet parking was a good idea and the return of my car was done very promptly. A special touch at valet - they offered me a bottle of water. Will be back for Sunday lunch.
Had an awesome experience at this place! The Paula cocktail was one of the best I’ve ever had!
Lovely Ladies Lunch place. Great atmosphere, menu and libations. I love this place.
I moved back to Texas from a different city and living in Uptown. I was thrilled to be dining there and hoping it would be our go to restaurant and unfortunately was disappointed. I requested a good table and they sat me by the entrance. It took over fifteen minutes before they took our order and same amount of time for them to bring tea to the main person in our party, cocktails were brought out before his.
After waiting for over ninety minutes dinner was finally brought out. Although very good, it should not have taken that long. We were there far too long for a three course meal. Guest next to us, that arrived after we did and order after, finished before we even requested a dessert menu.
The waiter was very cordial, but they obviously short staffed. He even said they were under staffed and although, what seemed to be a manager, helped bring out the food, he said he would return after our meal and he didn’t. In addition, the noise level was very high, they should consider adding art noise buffer to help with this inconvenience. I think its import to comment on this since one has higher expectation of venues of this category... it was very disappointing.
My friend and I picked this place because of how beautiful it is and because we were celebrating. So they sit us down and say our server will be with us shortly. 10 minutes later and we still don’t have a server. I had to ask for a drink menu and we might’ve put in our drink order already but we didn’t have a drink. It honestly felt like we were forgotten about. Finally I stop someone and ask if they know who our server is and he says “I guess I’ll be your server”. UHM... WHAT?! This is a restaurant in a LUXURY hotel. Attention to detail is crucial. The rest of the night wasn’t any better. We waited at least 15 minutes before we finally were able to get the server’s attention and get our check. EVERYTHING WAS SUCH A LONG WAIT. This night should’ve been fun, easy and exciting. It wasn’t. It was annoying, frustrating and I left angry. If I could give it zero stars I would. Oh and by the way. It wasn’t even crowded. No excuse for the ridiculous waiting.
The desserts were innovative and the portion size was good.
This was the first
good food, very noisy!! need to improve noice in walls and roof......
Great atmosphere, beautiful setting, delicious food, great for a girls weekend, baby/bridal shower! A fun and tasty place for sure!
Birthday lunch for a friend. Food was so good!
The setting is beautiful and wonderful service. Drinks are pricey$$$$$. We really enjoyed our lunch and will go back.
It was amazing. The food and service was awesome.
Great restaurant, food, and ambiance.
love the look, I think lunch menu limited and add ons way too expensive , $11.00 for three shrimp is absurd . I love the service, fabulous china and they were so nice to give us a special birthday desert, thank goodness deserts way too expense, I spent over $160.00 for lunch for 3 ,only one had a cocktail, that is outrageous ,
Honestly impeccable service from such sweet and genuine staff members. Food was an 11/10. And super accommodating to children as well!
Excellent service! Thank you we definitely will be back!
We went for Houston Restaurant Week on a Tuesday night with a late reservation. While the restaurant was busy when we got there, by the time we ordered, the number of tables were minimal. I mention this because the service was PAINFULLY slow. We didn't get out of the restaurant until 3 hours later...and it wasn't because we lingered.
The food was good (although I question a giant skillet of okra as a restaurant week appetizer - it is a great one to share, but when each person is ordering appetizers, it is too much for one person), and the dessert was easily the most phenomenal part of the meal. The ambiance and decor are picture perfect!
The interior decor was understated and tranquil. A setting that makes you want to relax , enjoy and linger. The food and service were excellent; as you would expect from a restaurant in this price range.
Dinner celebration for my friends birthday. The level of service was superb. Three dinner course was delicious. Cocktails were marvelous and the wine selection is impressive. Beautifully decorated with a nice outdoor seating area.
Loved the vibe, lovely setting—the whole look of the place was cool and also comfortable. The menu is excellent and beautifully presented. Even the plates and glasses are lovely.
In my personal opinion, the bloom & bee is not worth the money. The atmosphere is good. It’s soooo beautiful but I definitely liked that I tried it out but I would not go back to eat. The lobster roll was a disgrace. The drinks were good. If I were to ever go back, it would be for drinks and hang out. DEFINITELY NOT TO EAT.
Such a cute place with amazing food!
Bloom & Bee is exceptional and is perfect for special occasions. The food is wonderful and the service is exceptional. It is a bit pricey but for celebrating, it’s worth it.
Waiter could’ve done a better job taking care of us. The food was mediocre considering the price. But it was worth the vibe and the beautiful ambiance. Will be back, just not for food. Just for tea and dessert.
It was lovely!!!
When we arrived the restaurant got busy quickly and it took some time for our main entre to arrive. The serving staff was quick to let their manager know and before we even said a word and offered a free drink for all four of us. Can't complain:)
We all tried items on the restaurant week menu. My okra was AMAZING, the salmon was cooked perfectly and the dessert was good too.
Great place for a girls night out!
Great service and everything was SO PRETTY! Perfect place to celebrate a friends birthday
Celebrated Houston Restaurant Week with friends and we enjoyed a very delicious menu Bloom and Bee created! I also have to say from the staff to there food and drinks everything was amazing! The whole experience from beginning to end has us wanting to go back and to try others items from the menu!
Their desserts were absolutely amazing!!! The service was also outstanding. Will definitely return.
Went for HRW. The salad and soup were great. Hubby and I both had the beef medallions. Large portion for a lunch serving. Very well prepared and presented. Desserts were great! The decor was beautiful, and very quiet when we were there. Seems like a perfect setting for afternoon high tea. Unfortunately they don’t offer that, at least yet! Great experience.
A repeater for me! Love this place!
I had my bridesmaids brunch here. I loved it! It’s so cute & the food was great. You will have to valet but it’s only $6. I’ll definitely go back!
Went for Restaurant Weeks. Menu had lots of options. The fruit dessert with pistachio ice cream was terrific! Server was great.
I went here for my birthday brunch with some friends and I had some rose pink balloons and was told they would hold them in a room because they weren’t allowed in the restaurant. The service was ok, but the food was overpriced and not tasty, the desserts took a long time to come out and was all about presentation but not taste. When it was time to leave I asked for my balloons and they were no where to be found. Finally the lady only came back with one of them which almost had no air. I wasn’t even able to take one picture with the balloons. This place is cute for pictures BUT DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT GREAT FOOD OR SERVICE.
Had a birthday dinner there. Mentioned that when making the reservation. Didn’t even get a “happy birthday” from the staff. Service was mediocre. Food was good, but nothing special. Cocktails were good but incredibly slow to come out. Ambience was the lone bright spot. Doubt I will return.
The charred okra appetizer was outstanding. All the dishes the five of us ordered from the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu selections were delicious and satisfying, and the individual soup tureens and their contents were definitely a hit, but that okra was the star of the show. We enjoyed the salmon, steak, and chicken entrees and marveled at the vegetables paired with them. The delicious desserts were presented with artistry --including touches like a tiny chocolate and cherry Bee. Obviously, the chefs take a lot of pride in tiny details. We'll definitely be back.
Its beautiful! I love it there. Would def recommend
