Blanco Tacos + Tequila - Houston
Blanco is more than your typical Mexican restaurant, it‘s an escape from the ordinary, a happy hour hang out, a place to sit back, recharge and party. It’s a vacation in your neighborhood that helps you relax with your favorite people. For food, margaritas, and good times, Blanco is the perfect place to find your bliss.
Food portion vs price could be better especially for “posh” Tex mex. There is better for more authentic, flavorful and better portions for the price.
Me and my guests had a great time on Friday night. Our server was outstanding, professional, and friendly. The food and drinks were good! Highly recommend this place.
The food was amazing
Definitely have to come back and taste the rest of the menu! Everything was delicious!
Our server, India, was great! The food was tasty as usual!
Hostess was rude and ran into me (no apology) when we mentioned that we wanted an inside booth when she had to turn around from directing us outside. :(
The food was really terrible, queso appetizer, just plain bad, crispy tacos, some weird bitter taste. Overall just awful. The server was lovely, great and attentive though.
Food here needs rehaul.
Brian, our server, made the night! He is prompt and pleasant and upbeat.
Wasn’t impressed with the hostess who offered a less than welcoming “can I help you” and no eye contact, despite the fact we stood patiently with no one else around.
Nice manager escorted us to the patio.
Notable on the food: the elote (street corn) is savory but a little watery. We asked for off the cob. That means someone actually cuts it off the cob at the restaurant (which I could have done, but it was offered). I think canned corn was used because the dish was overly watery. When canned corn is used, you lose the grilled corn taste too. So just ask for a sharp knife and DIY.
The tortilla soup was the opposite, it was more like stew (not enough water). Perhaps the corn chips were too big (versus strips)?
The fish tacos made the mark as my two friends finished those down.
Loved the pineapple jalapeño margi. The froze was tart and actually good (thanks for the sample) but it was too chilly outside to enjoy.
I’ll be back 😀
Always a great time, and beautiful ambiance!!
Nachos was way too salty couldn’t even finish it.. The drinks was not strong .. Was not worth the price
Great food and service. Cocktails are not great but the experience was superb.
Drinks, food, fun. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food. Friendly staff. Looking forward to dining here again.
Service was horrible. Waited 15 mins before anyone greeted us with drinks or chips. First waitress seemed disinterested and rushed. During shift she apparently went home. Ankther waiter took over and the service picked up after that. Will give it ankthwr shot Bc the tacos and drinks were amazing, but service was poor overall
Cara was amazing!! She was so knowledable of the area and friendly! The cocktails were well crafted as well.
I definitely wouldn’t eat here again. The food took awhile to come out and once it did the black beans were way undercooked. For the price you pay, you should be getting your food cooked right.
I drank a whole carafe and not even a buzz. My group of four and I were not very impressed.
Great food and drinks! There was a little of a wait to get our food out but the staff made it right by treating us to some delicious white queso! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff!
We came for my daughters 16th birthday. We had a reservation thank goodness because they were busy! We sat outside and our waitress was very sweet and helpful. We had chicken fajitas which were very good. I would come back for a cute date night.
The food was awful and service was slow, the food was served out cold and there was no flavor. do not recommend
Excellent food and very pleasant and modern place!
Love the tacos and the Cadillac Margarita with Don Julio 1942. :)
The margaritas were yummy and the Pork Carnitas Tacos were outstanding! The queso was delicious as well as the salsa and chips. Our waitress was on point!
AJ is a great server!
I enjoyed myself! I had gone a couple of times before and grew a fondness for the frose but I hadn’t found a menu item that resonated with my tastebuds yet but this last time I did! The nachos with machada (hopefully I’m spelling that right) were fire...absolutely delicious! Frose and nachos are the way!
Enjoyed it so much came back again with my family to reorder the same dish! Such great service, amazing food and overall wonderful experience
I’m almost certain the salsa is Pace, straight out of the jar. Queso was very bland, almost like Velveeta. Wait service was lacking. Definitely not a good value. Could have spent less and had better food/experience at Torchy’s.
Food was good but very commercial—not incredibly authentic. Drinks were great, service was slow but we weren’t bothered by it since we we in no rush. Inside was stuffy and humid (air broken?) so we sat outside which was comfortable
Bo is great! Super kind and accommodating !
Had a blast catching up with my friend, we enjoyed food laughed and had a blast . The drinks are amazing ! Te amo tequila
I went on a really busy night but overall it was great
My third time in two months visiting this place. The margaritas are everything although this third visit the consistency was different, still not complaining. When I walked in my friend was sitting in a booth off to the back and I encouraged her to move into the main room because it seemed lively. Bad choice. It was way too noisy for a Thursday night but hey, it’s a restaurant. Our waitress took a little minute to greet us but she made up for it in kindness. We ordered the roasted corn appetizer and nachos with chicken as well as the caramelized sweet potato enchiladas. Everything was great until the enchiladas came out. My friend took the first bite and I could tell by her face that it wasn’t it. I then took a bite and we decided to send it back. Our waitress was cool about it. The manageress came over and didn’t announce who she was but I used to work in the industry and I know how things go when a guest sends back a dish. She was nice and quick about it. All in all the night was cool just noisy and those enchiladas were a mess.
Enjoyed my meal at Blanco’s, especially the BlackBerry Clementine Margarita Yummy! I had the shrimp fajitas which were good. I will certainly be back.
Enjoyed the food and the overall ambience was good. Would certainly likely to visit again whenever possible.
Valentines Day. Packed. Great food. Fast service. Awesome!
My boyfriend and I came here on a double date with his friends and we were thoroughly impressed with the food. The queso and guacamole were some of the best we’d ever had and the taco were definitely on point. Also despite running late for our reservation the restaurant was nice enough to hold our table despite being busy and it being Valentine’s Day. So kudos to them for their hospitality as well.
I was traveling solo, heard Blanco was good. Busy night, so ended up in a booth right by the door, not my preferred spot, but I was hungry! Excellent attention and service, yummy margaritas and food. Definitely not a quiet ambiance- it’s attached to the Houston Galleria- but if I’m ever back in Houston I’ll return.
The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing. Service was on point!! We will definitely be back.
We ate there before we went tho the theatre
Restaurant what good food and great ambiance
Different from usual tex mex
