Black Rock Bar & Grill, an award winning steakhouse specializing in certified angus beef steaks served on a sizzling stone.

Due to our high volume and traffic, we cannot hold tables for parties like a reservation system. We have a system called Priority Seating. This system secures a table within our restaurant, however, it does not guarantee an exact seat by time. Priority is placed on your party, and if we are on a wait, your party is placed on top of the wait list as a priority. We will seat you as fast as possible, but cannot guarantee an exact time. If the restaurant is not busy, we will seat the party upon arrival.

First off...they could not even find our reservation and they didn't believe we actually had one. I showed it to them and the response was 'Oh you do have a reservation.' The restaurant was very hot and humid. The food was ok for what it was. We ordered an appetizer we never received and sides we never received. The service was sub par. Never came back to check that we received all our food and if it was correct. Overpriced for what it was. Unfortunate experience. Would not go back.

Came in with a priority seating for 10 @7:45, sat right away. Hostess followed up with the server was busy and needed a moment. The server didn't come to the table until 8 and then no drinks until 8:30 and then no food until 9:45, with small children. We drove from Saint Petersburg to enjoy this establishment, never will I go back or recommend. The server was very nice but she took 10 orders without writing anything down and forgot a few things and I never got my second drink. Our table only got 1 refill within the 3-4 hours we spent there. The restaurant did not look busy, the server was by herself, no one was there to support her and did not see a manager on duty. I understand things can get hectic and busy sometimes, but the wait times were unacceptable.

We had a good experience and would return. The food was delicious and the service good. Atmosphere was good and the drinks was good. Hopefully the leaking roof and backed up ventilation will be fixed at that time.

We've eaten here before and it's always been very good. We were aware that it was fathers day and it was going to be busy, however, the A/C in the restaurant was not working. It was EXTREMELY hot, especially with the hot stones and all of the smoke. My husband wanted to stay, which we did and the manager did give us a free appetizer card, but I feel that a text or phone call warning us of the situation would have helped. Even when we checked in with the hostess nothing was said. Our server did a great job give that he had at least 6 tables. I believe the ice machine may have been down as well, as our drinks were always without ice, even when they were refilled. Seriously, not the best experience and coming from a family of 4, all with years of restaurant experience, could have been handled way better. The priority seating was fine though.

We waited for about 20 minutes after arriving for our priority seating reservation. Our server was fantastic and even though we had a slight mixup with our food, everything was great. The air conditioning could have been much cooler, however we would try it again.

The food quality and the pricing were great. The air-conditioning wasn't working in parts of the restaurant and they had portable units in there. I don't think they had enough wait and/or kitchen staff to handle the volume of patrons. It was slow, but not due to the fault of the server.

We went there for the all you can eat ribs. When we got there, half of the restaurant is out of air conditioning, and a small section of the roof is leaking which affects about 4 booths in the AC functioned half of the restaurant when it was pouring raining outside. Despite of the inconvenience caused by these maintenance issues, our dining experience was super good, especially we would like to thank our waitress Amy. She was very responsive, attentive and patient. It was a pleasure to have her help us with our dinner. The ribs were delicious, the BBQ sauce is on the sweet side. We love it! We would like to come back again to try the other items on the menu after the maintenance issues are fixed.
