Great food. I had gen strip steak and my wife had lobsters tails. Both were excellent. As an appetizer we had the calamari- also excellent with a great sauce. Great service throughout the meal. A must go but bring your appetite!

We visited for the first time after moving to the area. Had I known this place was in Colorado I would have come much sooner. Hands down best meal we have had in Colorado.

Our server was rushing around, didn't refill water glasses, never checked in, and we had to ask her to bring the check. It wasn't that busy there so not sure what the problem was.

Overall, it was a great place and our server was fantastic. Prices were a bit steep, in my opinion, although the food was cooked well and tasted great. Was a little disappointed in the tater tots as they were billed as really good and I was expecting something home made or better than frozen I can get at the grocery store. The meat was cooked properly which is difficult as my wife likes hers with no pink, yet juicy and I prefer medium rare. Most of the time we are sending at least one of them back and here they got them both correct. The apple pie and ice cream for dessert were delicious.

We wanted it to be better especially for the price. Have wanted to go for many years and did not meet our expectations. Caesar salad was nothing special. Beautiful drive up from Denver. Steak was tender, but not exceptional. Trout was perfectly prepared. We did not have drinks or dessert and the bill was $82 before tip for 2 people.

Have passed by Black Hat Cattle Company probably 20 times. We always tell ourselves we have to try it. I regret that it took us this long to finally go! Great tiny relatively unknown quality steak house. I had a fantastic Filet Mignon cooked perfectly with 2 lobster tails. Two at our table had the Elk Medallions both people loved their food and after tasting I would order that dish when I come back. Service was swift and professional. Not a huge wine menu, but gets the job done I mean your in Evergreen not Lodo. I really liked the old school western look and feel of this steak house. Well Done! You should try.
