This is my go-to spot, weeknight dinner with my kids, brunch with girlfriends, or date night with my husband. The beer list is unparalleled, and the food is always perfect- I always get the trout board, kids always get the beignets and pretzel, and whatever sour beer is the pucker-ist is my first course. Also love being able to put together flights.
It was amazing! Great service and great food!
Had a wonderful celebration with a group of friends but got seated outside with no heaters and it was pretty chilly. The food was alright but we had a great server and overall a fun time.
The food was late, they were out of many items on the menu. I eventually ordered a grilled cheese sandwich that was delivered to our table burnt. We've been to Bittercreek many times, but this was a really lousy experience. Our waitress was very apologetic. Will never return as there are plenty of other restaurants on 8th that we will frequent. We always spoke highly of Bittercreek and recommended the restaurant to friends, but never again.
Great service and even better food! Our server was very patient and on top of his game. Definitely a must try place :)
This spot is just so dependable and consistent. The staff there is attentive and pleasant. The food is awesome. Top shelf, all around!
Austin was amazing! So willing to help us and provided us with a great experience. Brought so much character and enthusiasm to our dinner.
Payton was our server, she was so helpful & nice! It was my birthday and our engagement so it was really special! Cool ambiance in here and great food/drinks! We both had burgers, the poutine and beers/cider!
Overall great, except for the hostess. She sat me at a table outside, which at first I thought was fine. After sitting there a few minutes, I realized it was kind of cold. I asked my waitress if I could move inside. The waitress was very nice about it. She went to the hostess and told her I wanted to move. The hostess turned around and looked at me, literally rolled her eyes, and in ear shot of me said "put him in 30", and then stared at me, liked I had done the unthinkable and ruined her day. By the way, it was very early in the lunch 'rush', there were plenty of tables open and there was only a few customers there. If she cared at all about Customer service, she would have jumped at the opportunity to make my time there more pleasant. Instead, my moving didn't fit into her master plan, and she made sure I knew it. In a time when restaurants are hurting and need every single person they get, having a hostess that could care less about guests is absurd. The food was great, our server was awesome, but with all the choices downtown, I'll think again before going back to Bittercreek.
Bittercreek is the place to be during COVID. They put so much thought into safety. Food is amazing as ever. Our go to restaurant these days.
We had just pulled in from Seattle and were excited to try a new place to eat. Bittercreek has a fantastic, tasty menu for beers and food. We split the polenta fries with aioli along with the oak barrel aged 2013 beer and then had the huntsman burger and Caesar with some hazy IPA’s. They have also done a great job keeping it safe for the customers and employees. Great service and fun! We’ll be back!!
Drinks only! Great outdoor Spot!
Ended up here for Happy Hour. Had wings and poutine. Beer and food were great. Nice outdoor patio to enjoy the gorgeous weather!
We had such a great time! They are being very cautious and following Covid regulations. The food was delicious as always and our server was very kind and attentive.
Terrific service from Angelica and the food and drinks were delightful!
We had an enjoyable dinner outside. The service and food were great. It is inexpensive too.
Great food. Fast, friendly service. Glad we found this place.
There was nothing particularly bad about this place....there just wasn’t anything particularly good about it. We went there on a recent trip to Boise trying to escape the smoke in my hometown of Portland Oregon. I kind of don’t know why I am writing a review other then Yelp asked me to. But here it goes. Our Server was good, the atmosphere was kinda cool it was old so that was neat. The food was just ok. I actually can’t remember what I ordered. My only memory is that I ate it and asked my friend what he thought the food? My friend said his was pretty underwhelming.
Great food and awesome beer selection. Would have preferred to sit outside. Burgers were great but was hoping for a broader entree selection. Wasn’t too thrilled with the steak frites (especially for the price) but the service was stellar and made it right. Overall would eat here again.
Their food and service are always good.
This is my favorite restaurant in town.
The inside out grilled cheese and poutine were great.
I’m never disappointed when I go to Bittercreek, but this time, our food was overcooked. The service was fantastic, and the flavor was still good. My salmon, and my hubby’s fish and chips were dry. It definitely won’t deter us from going again, though. We’ll just chuck it to an off night!
Unfortunately we were not impressed at all. The food was not good. There were three of us and nobody liked their dish. It was very hot in the restaurant and there I'm not sure how much they have cut down staff but there's nobody around. We were quite disappointed.
Always amazing! Fresh, unique food, great staff and outstanding response to COVID and safety concerns
Always one of my favorite places to eat in Boise! My only complaint would be the flies/wasps, but we ate on the patio so it comes with the territory. Amazing food and service as always!
Great first stop while visiting Boise! Claimed to have the best burger in town, and it did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the service was great.
The lamburger which is usually very good here wasn’t up to par this time. The patty tasted old and almost “bleachy” which is when you know meat is going bad. To cover it up, the burger came with an unusual amount a fried jalapeños. I’m a carnivore and love spicy food as well. I had stomach issues for the next two days after eating this burger. Very disappointed.
Appreciated outside dining option, which we did. However, the constant bother of flies made it unpleasant. Could the restaurant have some fans or other method to keep them at bay? Food good, portions ok. Service by Emily was outstanding!
It was a great spot to eat and we sat in the big window which was like being outside but also got the benefit of some AC:)
Austin was our server and he was perfectly attentive, a great conversationalist and I felt totally appreciated as a customer. I asked for my Huntsman burger to be customized and the chef did it perfectly. My wife had the cob salad and it was great. We started with great wings that were medium spice and had a ton of meat. The berry crisp and the chocolate mousse were delicious. Awesome evening.
Great selection of beer, food is handcrafted and delicious. Service was great.
Waiter was a bit rude, other than that it was great.
This place was better than I anticipated. It’s upscale, fresh food meets brewery atmosphere and it’s wonderful. We ate on the patio and had great service. There was a wide selection of beer and food even for their “covid” limited menu. Overall 9/10 would def. go again!
First time here. Fried chicken sandwich was 🔥. Our waiter was so kind and attentive. 10/10
Such fast and friendly service and the food was Great!
Was passing through Boise en route to Portland from Park City. Researched restaurants thoroughly and decided on Bitter creek. Awesome experience. Lamb Burger was as good as it gets. Wife had salmon ceasar and it was a beautiful and fresh wild sockeye filet. Kids loved it to, especially the beneighs. Great draft beer selection and good cocktails too. Great spot!!!
Great service. Good food. Nice venue. Can get really busy.
Had an amazing view outside, staff was so kind and attentive plus the food was dope!
Had guests in town and couldn’t think of a better downtown Boise casual place to go to. Everything was just as we explained to them. To top it off our server Austin was great in so many ways. Every one of his suggestions was spot on.
One of my favorite places when we come to Boise to visit my son.
