Great food and wine; excellent service. This was our first time; we will be back!
Great French restaurant a few steps from Larimer St
We have eaten here many times and it has always been excellent. The food this time was not as excellent as the other times. The steak tartar was too salty for my friend to finish.
We were told we would have duck beast, but we received the thigh and leg. The fish dish was not as flavorful as we expected. The pork tenderloin was the winner at our table; it was excellent.
The wine our waitress recommended was a very good choice. She was very attentive.
Amazing service and the food is absolutely to die for. I could eat completely different meals here each time I go and be overjoyed with the quality and flavor.
One of Denver’s best restaurants. Their menu is phenomenal. Steak perfectly cooked.
The dining experience was fantastic, as always. The service is always warm, welcoming and personal.
Love, love, love the atmosphere, the food and service!
Got our order wrong 3 times.
Lovely patio dining in a courtyard off the street. Delicious food. Great service. Definitely will go back.
Amazing brunch! Just know that it's not for a fast bite. Only go if you really want to have a long and relaxed morning. We went for a date and it was phenomenal!
Wonderful food, beautiful patio courtyard and excellent, knowledgeable service staff. This restaurant is one of best in Denver. Thank you.
For the price, the food left a lot of be desired. There was nothing that popped out as exceptional. Flavor was good, but not extraordinary and at $30/plate I expect to leave feeling impressed.
Everything we ate was exceptional. The pate and duck confit were outstanding and the truffle fries are fantastic. The wine selection is excellent and although the menu is limited, every dish is well prepared. Service has always been exceptional. This is an excellent choice for a date or a special occasion dinner.
One of my favorite restaurants. I like the setting, the intimacy, the size.
Food was delicious!! Sat on patio. Server was not not particularly friendly and not very forthcoming when my husband asked about a menu item. This server also had dirty fingernails, which - besides being disgusting for someone serving food - was surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. It was our 25th anniversary, but the restaurant didn't seem to care - not a huge deal, but where's the love?
Second trip to Denver, second visit to BistroVendome. It is fine dining and ambiance. The staff is excellent, the food superb. Don’t miss it!
French cuisine that is well-thought out and delicious. Very nice ambience; if you choose outdoors seating you are in an enclosed courtyard. Servers are well trained.
Have been to Bistro Vendome several times and have generally been impressed with the food and ambiance.
The food last night was decent but not, at all exceptional. Onion soup was very disappointing and steak frites was fair.
Wait staff was attentive and wine was good but overall experience was fair and disappointing. Place could use an overhaul but with menu and decor. Probably would not go back
Such a good experience! Sat by the window on a rainy Sunday brunch, the servers were all lovely, attentive and knowledgeable and the kitchen accommodated my diet. Thanks!
This place has become our favorite date night spot. The best mussels....the pate....the saffron risotto...the sea bass. Bistro Vendome never disappoints. And fantastic service to boot. Can’t say enough good things!!!
Exquisite birthday dinner in all ways! Food and Wine pure French! Our first In restaurant meal in 15 months...they deserve more than 5 stars for mainting such high standards!!!
I can honestly say we have never had a more tasteless, bland disappointment of a meal in our lives. We were so looking forward to a wonderful evening out and the ONLY thing that had any taste of flavor was champagne and a lager. Very sad and a complete waste of time and money.
Wonderful brunch. Quiche and a croque madame. Both were delicious! The quiche could have been a little larger. Not sure the the price reflected the portion size.
Went for brunch and enjoyed everything. The staff was friendly and professional. The food was delicious and the bottomless mimosas were made with care.
Ambiance was great beautiful little bistro tucked away in Larimer Square lovely outdoor garden seating. Bistro is designed in style of a Paris Brasserie. Charming and beautiful.
The food was sooooo salty.
Patio seating at the start of the Memorial Day weekend a delight -- cool breezes and noise from other diners was minimal. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. Our meals were delivered promptly, and appropriately hot. We were not rushed and had a wonderful anniversary dinner.
It pains me to write this review. I want to stress that I believe Bistro Vendôme, like so many other excellent restaurants, is currently struggling to recover from the pandemic, shutdowns, layoffs, and now the scarcity of available trained restaurant staff. Many people are still choosing to take Covid unemployment payments rather than return to work.
I lived in the Denver area for 25 years, and Bistro Vendôme became a favorite restaurant from the first time I visited. The authenticity and consistent high quality of their menu offerings never faltered. Their service staff was always professional and attentive.
Eventually I moved away from the Front Range, and I hadn't been to Denver in about 3 years until this week. I was really looking forward to dinner at Bistro Vendome. Unfortunately, it fell far short of my expectations. Our server was super-friendly and very willing, but she was stretched attending to a large number of tables. As a result, we weren't served bread or the amuse-bouche. It was only after we inquired as to whether bread was still served that those were delivered. Our entrees were sub-par in flavor, seasoning, and execution. The riz rouge side that came with the roast chicken was undercooked. The mussels were very overcooked and the broth in which they were served was flavorless. I've ordered mussels here repeatedly, have never been disappointed. We typically use bread to soak up the broth, but this time it wasn't worth the effort.
As I said, it pains me to write such an unfavorable review. I know the owner of this restaurant is not happy to fall so short of expectations -- especially hers. I have every confidence and hope that as our restaurant industry returns to normal, Bistro Vendôme will once again be able to provide the high quality food and service on which their reputation is based. I know this has been a very difficult time for restaurants, and in the future I will once again enjoy an excellent meal and service at Bistro Vendôme.
Thank you Aaron for an excellent evening with our good friends. I really feel like we were special guests given the wonderful waitstaff, amazing food (lots of mussels and duck lovers here) and great wines. Everyone was complimenting me for choosing Bistro Vendome but obviously Aaron and his team were responsible for our lovely evening. We will all be back!
Lovely dining atmosphere.. food was a little too salty. Cheese portion extremely small. But beautiful courtyard just great to dine in!
We visited Bistro Vendome to celebrate my mom's birthday. We had an excellent bottle of wine and and a lovely meal. Our server, Nathan, was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. We'll definitely be back!
Brunch on the outdoor patio is a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning in Denver. Great food and service made it a good experience.
Favorite brunch in Denver. Love this place.
A gem in downtown Denver. Transports me to a Parisian bistro complete with a lovely courtyard, fine French wine, and delightful dishes. So happy this place has survivived, and despite the last year we have had has managed to retain its ambience and commitment to the fine, French-dining experience.
The food was exquisite with a multitude of flavors. The recommendations for the wine and the desserts were spot-on. The service was impeccable. An outstanding choice for a special occasion.
Excellent food! Excellent service! Wonderful ambience! Thank you!
Great to have Bistro Vendôme back. Great eats, wonderful garden away from the fray. Excellent absinthe cocktails. Bravo!
Classic French food. Great date place and the outdoor setting is wonderful.
