An outstanding venue, food, and service and a great value!!.. Really enjoyable dinner!
Most enjoyable dining experience in a long time. Rachel is an amazing server and Matt is a fabulous host. Food was delicious - authentic French from the escargot to the bouillabaisse and, the grand finale, chocolate souffle. Delicious cheeses. Robust list of french wines. Such a great experience on so many levels, we went back the next night, sat at the bar and ordered wine and chocolate souffles.
This was our first Larimer Square dinner and it was an excellent experience. Our server Aaron was terrific and helped us as newbies with our choices. We started with 3 nice choices of wine by the glass coupled with moules, frites and chicken liver pate. Excellent bread. Our friends split a roast chicken, my wife had the Bouillabaisse and I had the Roquefort steak with frites. The Chi ken was outstanding, the steak done perfectly, the Bouillabaisse was tasty but had less broth than we expected and less seafood than we expect. The desserts were great. Blueberry frangipani tart and the pavlova. Our friends raved about the overall experience and we thought it was wonderful. Prices are half NY French restaurants so we thought the value high. We loved all the staff. We highly recommend Bistro Vendome.
Nice French Oasis in Larimer Square in downtown Denver. The Duck salad was delicious. The bread is to die for. Eurocentric wine list.
Always fantastic! Love the Monday night half price bottles of wine. This place is consistently great for French bistro fare.
My wife and I had a very enjoyable Mother’s Day dinner on the patio. Megan was our waitress and she provided us with great service and answered our questions expertly. I had the pork cutlet entrée and it was delicious. We have dined at bistro Vendome numerous times and the food the service and the ambience has stayed at a high-level which keeps us coming back. It’s one of our standbys
This was the perfect restaurant for my Mother’s Day breakfast!
Bistro Vendome was perfect for our birthday/ Mother’s Day celebration. We had a cozy table in the wine cellar, away from the hustle and bustle of the main dining room. We ordered a variety of breakfast and lunch entrees with drinks and although we’re a picky group, all entrees received rave reviews! Our server was helpful and friendly. Perfect! It is still my favorite brunch place.
Came for brunch. Food was excellent, though the service at times just a little slow. Surprisingly for brunch is somewhat limited selection of drinks that were non-alcoholic, however overall an excellent meal.
Bistro Vendome is a consistently fabulous restaurant. The food is delicious; it always feels like a special treat to go there.
Great food. Especially main courses (duck for me and scallops for spouse). We ate outside and it was a great experience.
Everything about our experience with Bistro Vendome was excellent. We had superior service, wonderful drinks, and delicious food.
Love the patio, the ambience and the service. Inside is nice too.
Best waitress and chef ever. Made my meal gluten free when they didn’t have a specific gluten free item on the menu. Really went out of their way during a busy time.
All of the food was delicious. Our server was incredibly attentive. The atmosphere on the patio was very romantic and personal. Truly a wonderful experience! Cannot wait to return.
Great ambiance, great good, friendly and efficient service. Also had vegetarian options for which I was grateful!
Excellent food! Really think the menu is great and inventive. They have taken typical French fare and done a little twist that makes it very different and yummy
It was our first experience at Bistro Vendome and we were so very content. It was refreshing to be able to enjoy a meal without anyone trying to hurry us out the door. Delicious food and drinks, beautiful atmosphere, and wonderful service. My partner is European and he said it felt like home. Thank for the most lovely date night.
All of the dishes were oversalted, especially the confit. Disappointing. Great wine, attentive service.
We went pre theatre; great food, excellent wine suggestion; all around a wonderful evening
Great place for Brunch.
Seated on the patio, we enjoyed steaks and wine in a quiet setting. Each steak was perfectly prepared and plated. Desserts are worth the calories so be sure to indulge.
Wonderful food! Great service!
Great food coupled with excellent service. The servers were attentive with intruding. The food was cooked perfectly and delicious. A unexpected wind storm closed the patio, making the indoors dining packed and loud.
We received an email flyer about the coq au vin special Thursdays nights in April. We hadn't been to the Bistro in a while, so this is what brought us into the restaurant. We made an early reservation (before 7pm) and unbelievably, the waitress tells us they are out of coq au vin. Also, the wording on the email flyer implied 1/2 price bottles of wine, until you read below it that this was only for different nights. Took almost 40 minutes for some in our party to get their wine (30 minutes for a drink). Waitress virtually never came around and didn't bother to tell us about the soufflé taking 20 minutes - had already been then about two hours to get through dinner, so we weren't about to wait another 20 minutes for dessert. Do not get the duck salad - it is awful; mostly cooked fat served on top of a very small amount of "greens" or weeds; about 2 small bites of meat. Steak and frites are still good and the cooked duck dish was ok. The Chef did send out a fantastic crème brulee, but it was a sad night at the Bistro for us. We've been there many times before, but will probably not go back.
Wonderful food as always. Inattentive waiter. Came in for specially advertised for coq au vin and half-priced wine. No half-priced wine.
Great food, good service and nice wine list. How could you do better?
For my bride’s 75th birthday we 9 family members and friends were treated to a private room with wonderful ambiance, service, cocktails, wine and food. We got a surprise when the bill revealed 1/2 prices on the bottles of French Pinot Noir we’d consumed. Megan was a fabulously friendly and efficient server. This experience, a value given The Bistro’s competition, will bring us back. But we knew that when booking! Thanks Jennifer for your exceptional imagination and pricing.

We have dined at Bistro Vendome many times and have never been disappointed. We went there for Easter brunch and the Duck Confit Benedict was outstanding. My wife raved about her omelette and the pineapple tart was also outstanding. All in all, a wonderful way to do brunch. We will be back!
Easter Brunch and the Bistro was PACKED! However, our service was outstanding and the food was excellent! Noise level was on the louder side, but to be expected with every table full. This is the gem of Larimer Square!
Our reservation was at 10:30 so we are probably not a good judge for noise. The food is excellent and the portions are appropriate. Everything was very flavorful. The service was attentive but not overbearing. We even found a free spot at a meter. Only a few craft cocktails but an extensive wine list.
My favorite spot for celebrating a special occasion
We went because we had received an email promoting their 16th birthday, with a good deal for duck confit for $16.
& $16. Bottles of wine, so we had a great value in every way.
We hadn’t been there in awhile, so we’re pleasantly surprised by the rearranging of the dining room (it used to be somewhat claustrophobic due to tight fitting tables, etc.) we’ve always loved the food and all, so will be back.
Always a favorite. The Eggs Benedict made with duck confit is awesome!
I cannot to begin to state what a fantastic experience we had there
Like a trip to Paris. Great food, drinks, service and ambiance
The location is fun! Our server was ah-mazing! The food was other- worldly!! The duck confit melted in my mouth. The braised beef was rich and deep in flavor. The pavlova for dessert was light as air. One of the most incredible dining experiences!!
I love the relaxed, cozy, intimate feeling of this place. We will definitely return to try more of their appetizers. The Escargot was perfect and the Mussels were more delicious than we expected. I had braised beef while my husband had a rare steak, and we both agreed each dish was prepared & cooked perfectly. The service was well-timed, friendly, and just wonderful. If you’re up for dessert, you can’t go wrong with their creme brûlée, which like the rest of the night, was a beautifully tasty dish.
Bistro Vendome is awesome. The food is always so good and the ambiance is lovely. I love the French flare and the quality is great.
