Very over priced. Horrible service. Loud right on Colfax.
Pizza was great, service was terrific, music was amazing. it's a nice place to spend time wih friends
We had a great first experience at Benzia. From the details of the food, to the upscale-diner feel of the restaurant, and outstanding service and hospitality from all whom were working last night. You might pay more to have dinner here, but everything we had was cooked perfectly and was bursting with flavor. Our favorites: the Arancini’s with peppered honey, fried squid, and the Triangola pasta with celery root. They carry a small but very good selection of wine including locally made wine from Attimo in Denver. They have a great outdoor space that they are working on winterizing. Bring your next group gathering or family outing to this delicious restaurant and admire the 70’s Italian diner vibe and the seasonal flavors of a taste of Italy here in Denver.
Great experience, thank you.
Fun, lively atmosphere in a cleverly converted gas station. While the menu is limited, each item we ordered was carefully prepared (we watched!) and truly delicious. The spatchcocked chicken and Caesar salad with smoked trout were very satisfying and not to be missed.
Should’ve asked for a printed receipt as I normally do for due diligence purposes but was a little intimidated due to the high level ambience of the place. My fault really. But truly amazing food and service.
Fantastic food, perfectly coursed and presented by great staff. Will be back for sure!
Incredible food and ambiance! The creator cares about the experience and it shows! The drinks were delightful and unique. Definitely a must go!
I reserved a table for 2 but instead had to sit at the counter. It was a bit loud as well, but I can imagine that on warmer days the outside seating would take care of that. But that was the worst of it... the food was amazing, like really good and the staff were polite and attentive. I thought the prices were a bit steep until I tasted the food, totally worth it.
Best Italian food I’ve had since I was a ragazinno in Emilia-Romagne. The Chef with two haircuts is hunky and the rest of the help is distractingly attractive and smells almost as good as the food. The Oxtail Pappardelle will compel you to swear with pleasure in a language youve never spoken and the Saba Panna Cotta will tempt you to fire your masseuse and your therapist. Ciao!
Great food and wine, friendly staff. Will definitely return soon!
Sat at the bar and had excellent service. The pizza was delish! Now I have to return to try other things that I’ve heard are spectacular. We had a wonderful time!
Great neighborhood spot. Love the renovation of the former space and enjoyed the bar table watching the chef and staff prepare our meal. Chocolate torte was wonderful as was the Brussels sprouts salad.
I agree with the 3 star types who have reviewed this restaurant. The food is good, but the menu is very limited (an Italian restaurant with 2 pasta dishes, 5 pizzas and 2 meat course options) and very overpriced with small portions. $32 pasta? No value in this restaurant. 3 people ate for $150 including a pasta, a pizza, a salad, 2 appetizers, 1 glass of wine and a beer. We wanted to sample the menu. Went home hungry. Not much left on the menu to sample. Plenty of staff and good service. But we will not be returning.
Incredible food, best service ever and gorgeous interiors. New favorite restaurant in Denver, hands down!
Beautiful setting, great service and very tasty overpriced food with small servings. My entree provided 5 tiny tortellini that seemed more like an appetizer than a $26 entree. There are many delicious upscale Italian restaurants in town in which you don't need to go home to have a sandwich after dinner.
Great food, great service, great laughs!
We loved everything about this place! Food is amazing - staff was so helpful and friendly - can’t wait to come back!
Fabulous dinner! Clam pizza rivals Sally's... so good!! The shaved Brussel sprout salad was delish and the panna cotta for dessert divine. Excellent service and festive, fun atmosphere. We will definitely make this a new regular spot!
Great food and ambience! You can watch all the chefs hard and work and the quality of food is amazing.
Our second time here. Service is absolutely awesome....servers are thoughtful and very attentive without being intrusive. Food is great also. However, the menu is very limited (by design, I guess), consisting largely of Benzina's excellent individual pizzas. After two visits we have the feeling that we have pretty much exhausted the main choices.
Our biggest criticism at this point is the noise level...it is VERY high and it was difficult to carry on a conversation at most places within the restaurant. Some sort of noise abatement might be considered. Also, we were seated with the large gas station windows on two sides, which was rather cold for late September. It will be interesting to see if the restaurant is capable of handling the cold temperatures of a Denver winter.
Bit of contradiction, Casual atmosphere with fine dining food and prices. But very enjoyable night and we will go back.
Our first visit to Benzina last night. Wonderful food and wine. Clam pizza, squid and arancini were amazing. Spot on service and a beautiful night to enjoy the spacious patio. Will be back soon.
Benzina is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Great vibe, amazing food, and a fun drink menu. Will definitely be coming back here more often.
Very limited menu. Inside was very loud! Food marginal!
Food was amazing, service was wonderful! A new favorite!,
Fantastic food, friendly staff and management. Great neighborhood restaurant for Park Hill!!!
Love this spot. Even without power, our daughter’s birthday dinner was just fantastic!
It’s good but prices are ridiculously high for what it is. $55 chicken and $65 steak? This isn’t fine dining.
great new restaurant. well worth the visit. pizza was fantastic
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Benzina based on the recommendation of a friend who is also in the restaurant business. This friend had said it’s the best Italian restaurant in Denver, which is a tall order in this town. He was right! Benzina was truly outstanding on every level. They treated us very specially all evening starting with celebratory Prosecco upon our arrival. They guided us through menu choices — both drinks and food. We got to spend time with several members of the team: front of the house and the chef. We felt truly special and left with an incredible variety of flavors and plenty of new memories. We will be back and not just for special occasions. The price points are very approachable with something for everyone. Thank you so much to the entire family of staff there!
Great Neapolitan pizza, very cool place with great vibe. Wine 15$/glass and up, everything a bit expensive for what you get in my opinion. We may or may not come back.
Delicious food and a terrific staff. Brad, the owner, is a wonderful host.
Thank you so much for the terrific feedback. Hope to have you in as our guest again soon! -- Justin Dano General Manager at Benzina
The restaurant was great very chic enjoyed the company staff was good. Food was great but wasn’t enough for what they charge way too much money and not worth it.
Hi Paul, I'm sorry to hear that but I'm glad to hear that the flavors and our team were on point. We do our best to ensure that our portion sizes match the our menu prices. Your feedback is really appreciated. -- Justin Dano General Manager at Benzina
The service was great and super friendly!! We sat outside the tables are pretty far apart so good for Covid and parents who have small children. The inside does have a bar. The music might be kinda loud inside but music selection is very good. The apps were good and the pizza!! We will be back.
So glad you enjoyed! Can't wait to have you and the family back in again. - Justin Dano General Manager at Benzina

The food was very tasty; portions were small for the price. The restaurant is a great reuse of the space-well done.

Food was excellent and service was as well. Portions are very small and prices are high. So noisy its hard to talk.
