BCN Taste & Tradition, the name gives a nod to Barcelona and the meld of traditional and modern Spanish cuisine. Chef Luis Roger relocated from Girona, Spain - trained under Michelin Chef Ferran Adria at elBulli- and taught at the renowned culinary school Aula Gastronomica de l’Emporada.

Located on a 1920’s era Victorian home in the trendy Montrose/Museum District (4210 Roseland St.). BCN Taste & Tradition will recreate an authentic Spanish style dining experience with unparalleled service. The menu will showcase all the fantastic, cutting-edge haute cuisine that put Spain on the world stage.

Credit card info required for reservations larger than 5 guests. A $50/person fee will be charged if you are unable to cancel within 48 of your scheduled time or if your party decreases in size within 24 of your reservation. No fee will be assessed for transferring the reservation to a different name.

We have been there many times. But I hadn’t been in approximately one year. Service and food were excellent. thankfully we went early because by the time we left it was getting really full and loud.

BCN is one of, if my the favorite restaurant for me in Houston. We sat at the bar for an early, light dinner and enjoyed great service from Javier and Freddy. We started with their signature GTs and Patatas Bravas. I have a mix of the two anchovies dishes; my partner enjoyed Gambas al Ajillo and the Fisherman's Stew. We had a two different Spanish whites with our dishes. My favorite part is always feeling welcomed and comfortable there. Great ambiance. Beautiful food. Delightful service. This is a neighborhood gem.

I made the reservation for my birthday dinner with my besties. I think the waiter treat us ( four asian girls) differently than other people. He ignored us for some reasons. First, He missed one drink . Then we were waiting for him to order our food for a lone time. But I still pay the 18% for the tip. Bad service, food is just soso. I won’t come back again.

Ordered the octopus and anchovies for appetizers. Loved the anchovies, but the octopus was a bit too soft for my taste. We had the lamp chops ( a bit fatty) and the suckling pig for entrees. Both were very tasty. The dessert, Catalan brûlée, if I remember the name correctly, was fantastic! a cool brûlée cream in a warm and crackly shell! Perfection!!! A must try!

Every bite we had was simply great. Octopus is a must to start, the salads were unique and fresh, and the entrees were remarkable. The portions were much larger than expected, to be honest. The lamb chops, filet, and pig were prepared perfectly and the prices provided great value.
