When the original Bascom came to Florida at the turn of the last century to help Henry Flagler build the Key West Railroad, he brought with him his love for thick cut chops and juicy steaks. During his travels he also discovered the bounties of fresh native Florida seafood.

We have brought all of his favorites together in a true American Chop House that pays tribute to Bascom's hearty appetite and a passion for great steaks, chops and fresh seafood.

In his honor, we have made Bascom's Chop House a comfortable, yet elegant, American restaurant. We are proud to offer a superbly crafted wine list and American Mid-Western beef, aged to our own exacting specifications to ensure the most tender and flavorful steaks served anywhere at any price. And, true to our Bascom's Chop House name, we also offer hand-cut veal, pork and lamb chops all prepared to perfection, as well as a great selection of native seafood delivered fresh daily.

    Nice to see there is still awesome customer service in the restaurant business. So many restaurants rush you in and out and don’t care to your dining experience. Food was really good too!!

    Ordered a 14 oz. ribeye medium rare. Steak was cooked correctly, but the steak contained a large amount of gristle. Very difficult to cut or chew. Did not finish the steak. Also ordered creamed spinach on the side. Have had it on past occasions and loved it, however, this time it was lacking. A bit too much cream sauce and not enough spinach.

    Upscale restaurant with linen tables. Of course in Florida people pretty much dress in a range of options, but here you should really strive for button down shirt/pants and a dress. You'll see why when you do. I have done about 150 Google reviews, and have given 5 stars for service before, but honestly I have never witnessed food come out this quick, and still be fantastic. Scott S was our server and he was spectacular. If he didn't know something about a specific food that my wife wanted to order, he would do a quick double check to ensure it was safely gluten free for her to order. Not a ton of choices in the GF arena, but all-in-all the food is awesome. We had 6 of us in our party and basically got shrimp cocktails, shrimp risotto, Bascom's cannoli, lobster bisque, sea bass, creme brule, surf and turf, blueberry cheesecake, grouper oscar (yes, both together! - GF), and pecan crusted grouper. So we had apps, entrees, some alcohol, and desserts around the table, and walked out for about $100/pp with tip. Would go again in a minute. Great atmosphere as well.

    We have never had a bad meal here. Their filet is cooked to perfection and never an ounce of fat. The creamed spinach is a great side dish

    It was our first time going there, and we had high expectations and for the most part they were all fulfilled. The service was great and the prime rib was the best we’ve had in years. The onion soup was very good although it lacked a few flavors that I’m accustomed to having within the soup such as a little wine and maybe a little Worcestershire sauce type flavor but even so it is very delicious. Don’t issue we had with the garlic shrimp appetizer was overcooked little rubbery, but we didn’t miss it since the rest of the meal was so good . Definitely will go back

    We had a group of 12 celebrating 4 birthdays and Chris did an amazing job taking care of all of us. We enjoyed every bite of our delicious lunch. I am a regular to Bascom’s, but some of the guests were first time visitors and were thrilled with the food and service. Sometimes it difficult to please everyone in a large group, but not here. They are true professionals. From top notch service to the highest quality food you wouldn’t be disappointed at Bascom’s. They really are one of the finest steak and seafood restaurants in the area.
