When the original Bascom came to Florida at the turn of the last century to help Henry Flagler build the Key West Railroad, he brought with him his love for thick cut chops and juicy steaks. During his travels he also discovered the bounties of fresh native Florida seafood.

We have brought all of his favorites together in a true American Chop House that pays tribute to Bascom's hearty appetite and a passion for great steaks, chops and fresh seafood.

In his honor, we have made Bascom's Chop House a comfortable, yet elegant, American restaurant. We are proud to offer a superbly crafted wine list and American Mid-Western beef, aged to our own exacting specifications to ensure the most tender and flavorful steaks served anywhere at any price. And, true to our Bascom's Chop House name, we also offer hand-cut veal, pork and lamb chops all prepared to perfection, as well as a great selection of native seafood delivered fresh daily.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bascom’s Chop House in Clearwater instantly reminded us of one of our all-time favorite spots back home in Columbus, Ohio — The Top. From the moment we walked in, everything was exceptional — the food, the service, and the warm, inviting atmosphere. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the sides were outstanding, and their bourbon selection was top-notch. Every detail felt thoughtful and high-quality. Big thanks to the entire team for a truly memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

    We had an amazing experience, starting with the billionaire bacon, chilled seafood platter and lobster bisque. My date had the Chilean Seabass and I had the scallops. Everything was cooked to perfection and our server, Blake, was outstanding - he timed everything perfectly and was always there at the exact moment that we needed him, even though it was a busy Saturday night.

    Me and my wife went for our anniversary on July 5th and it was outstanding. The service was remarkable the smoked Gouda Mac n cheese was the best I have ever had and the porterhouse was unbelievable. My wife lover her filet mignon and lobster tail. They gave us a complimentary desert for our anniversary and I also was unbelievable we will fine going back thank you for such a remarkable anniversary dinner will never forget it. Thank you Bascoms for making it so special

    Food was okay. Was expecting the filet mignon to be a little more flavorful. the place was a bit overpriced. Bascoms doesn't match up to a steakhouse like Flemings

    High chair was broken! This was awkward and as we went for lunch with toddler and made sure to note the need for a required highchair it should not have been highchair from the side of road. Please purchase new highchairs. $100 bucks these are used for other things than kids. The million dollar bacon was not evenly seasoned and two slices were vastly different in size and taste. Breadservice are $4 was acceptable. The Prime Rib was satisfactory. The filet was charred outside and rare/blue in some area on the inside. Not evenly cooked for medium rare. The kids butter parm was box pasta with butter and kraft parm. Would have been significantly improved using a real/fresh parm. Desert was simple and delicious. Our server was wonderful and attentive. Would not return as other options are available. Would hire the servers in our section for another restaurant as they are wonderful.
