Cuando el Bascom original llegó a Florida a finales del siglo pasado para ayudar a Henry Flagler a construir el ferrocarril de West Key, trajo con él su amor por las chuletas cortadas gruesas y los filetes jugosos.     Very disappointed the billionaire back. Was so peppered it was aweful, lobster was tasteless and we waited 45 mins for our Medium steaks that came out well done. If I lived here again & was there like I used to be. I would of said something to management but I’m in and out on business I can find another good Steak house

    How can it go wrong when you have a wedge salad, steak, truffle fries and good bottle of red wine with a friend.? Tee was very attentive but gave us space to simply enjoy the good conversation. See you next time.

    My wife ordered the prime rib. She had to send it back twice because she ordered rare, but, go them both medium well. She needed up getting a different stake because they didn't understand what rare ment. After we all got pur food. We had to ask where my sister in-laws steak was. While we aew eating our food. When my sister in-law got her steak and ordered her steak medium and she her steak welldone. She didn't send hers back because we were almost done with the rest of food. You would think after issue after issue they would do something other than saying Sorry.

    Bascomb's is a good, solid steak house. The menu is broad enough to provide everyone something they'll be happy with. We started with the seafood platter - a generous portion of crab meat, three oysters, three shrimp, half a grilled lobster tail and all the appropriate sauces - all very fresh and tasty. We combined two small fillets and a wedge salad to share as our entrees. We ordered the coffee sauce for the steaks, but with the composed butter the steaks came with, it really wasn't needed. Steaks were beautiful pieces of beef. We had the blueberry cheesecake and espresso for dessert. The cheesecake was really special - made with ricotta - it was light and full of flavor. There is a really nice, extensive wine list, provided on a tablet (be sure to look at the blends and not just the varietals). On a Sunday there was a discount on wines over $50 (!) Our waiter was knowledgeable and helpful. Wanted to be sure we were getting what we wanted. Lovely anniversary dinner.

    We had a great experience for my son's birthday. The staff were attentive. The atmosphere was lively. All of the food we had was excellent. Bascom's is a great place for a special occassion or date.

    They have the best tasting filet that is always cooked to perfection. Try the crreamed spinach which is very nice and goes quite well with the onion straws and filet.
