About this restaurant

A tribute to the different forms of corn, especially the iconic taco.
Our taco bar is an intimate space within the garden that can accommodate up to 18 guests.
It is designed for sharing and enjoying an 11-course tasting menu made with local, fresh, and seasonal produce, accompanied by a special selection of mezcals, sakes, tequilas, and ferments.

Once in a lifetime dining experience. We were only diners at the bar and so privileged to have incredible food and service from chef and server.

Everything was absolutely fantastic, it was a great way to taste different tacos and mole. We had the restaurant to ourselves and the waitress was super nice to us! The only negative thing, we would have like to have more options in the drinking menu. Otherwise, it’s an amazing experience.

Food was fine. Service was not. The deal breaker is that they move you in and out like cattle. Before dessert they make everyone get up and move to a long side table in the dark to set up for the next group of diners. It was cold. Both physically (the chairs were freezing) and emotionally ( being herded ). Terrible experience.

We had an incredible evening meal at the taco bar. We had previously been to Criollo but the taco bar surpassed that meal. A very unique experience, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They took really good care of us.

La experiencia es única, sin duda lo recomiendo mucho, si vienen en Oaxaca tienen que venir a Criollo a probar desde sus desayunos, comidas y la experiencia de barras de tacos.
