I invited my family to celebrate two birthdays at Bar Louie because I had recently been to the Bar Louie in Phoenix and had a great dinner experience with a group of eight. I wish that I could say that about my visit to their Tustin restaurant but it was very disappointing. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and dinner and none of these arrived for all eight of us even close to the same time. Either the bartender, the cooks or the waitress was overwhelmed but some of us got our drinks and then we waited until the rest of the drinks arrived to make a birthday toast...the same with appetizers arriving at different times and dinner as well. It was frustrating! Some people were always waiting while others started to eat or wanted to eat while their food was hot. The waitress was inattentive and disappeared from sight several times and the restaurant was far from busy. Even though we were asked if it was a special occasion, nothing special was offered to the two birthday people and when I reminded her that we had birthdays after dinner, she said they don't have any free desserts! We skipped dessert and went next door for gelato. We later saw our waitress serving people out on the patio so that may have been why we couldn't see her inside the restaurant...but ice teas and water glasses went empty without anyone taking care of our table so all in all, it was a very disappointing experience. I won't go back.

Just not as cool and Downey. As a matter of fact we just booked a 12 person party at Bar Louie Downey because we actually like it there - Tustin / Mid / great waitress though super cute kind young lady . 4 stars for her .

Such a great experience! Our waiter was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made the night even better. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were a must-try—so fun and flavorful! Can’t wait to come back!

Restaurant was not very busy when we arrived for our reservation at 4:15. We sat down and were greeted a few minutes later by the waitress. She went for water for the table and did not return for 15+ min. The staff was kind and the food was good but the service is lax and slow. I'd be scared to eat here If it was actually busy.

I let the server know that I’m vegan and he graciously offered to have my meal re-prepared. However, when he brought it out he tried to pass it off as freshly prepared, but I could taste the meat that was previously on the plate and even found some overlooked bits of meat in my dish. It is one thing to send out the old dish, but another thing entirely to lie about it. That is so disrespectful.

Food was nothing special. Not worth the value at all. We ordered the spinach dip, chicken nachos, and fried pickles. All tasted and looked like food you would get at my son’s baseball snack bar. We paid $73.00 for a pile of store bought tortilla chips and warmed up nacho cheese. Service was awful. We were never checked on once after putting our order in. Why bother, you got our money right? Will never go back. Don’t waste your time.
