The food is amazing! Best sushi in denver
This was my second time here - loved it the first time, so brought a colleague. The service was so poor, we both almost told the waiter something. I would say at best there was NO service. We were completely ALMOST not acknowledged verbally. Worst service I have had in quite a while. No greeting from either the waiter nor the staff with water. When I said we were ready to order, the waiter said, "OK" unenthusiastically.
I would not come back due to the terrible service. The food was good this time, but not great, with some dishes falling flat.
Thanks so much for making this birthday so special and memorable. I appreciate your help in setting up the balloons, decorations and birthday cake I brought! You guys went above and beyond!!!
They “lost” our ticket so rolls didn’t come out for about 40min after we ordered. When they did make it to our table, each roll came out every 15min instead of all together. They weren’t fresh and everything was super salty.
Pretty bangin food, but very small portions. Oysters served on toasted wood chips, a little too Highlands trendy for my tastes. Fantastic service and a great sake flight selection.
We love sushi, and we were so impressed with Bamboo sushi last night. Their food was fresh, creative, and outstanding. Their staff was attentive and friendly. The sushi chef talked a lot with me about the sustainable seafood movement at the restaurant, and it's awesome to know that you can feel good about what you're eating. The Friday the 13th role with spicy, sustainable salmon was out of this world. We also loved their miso eggplant appetizer! This is my new favorite sushi place in Colorado, and we will be back soon!
Food was average for the pricing of it. We got it fast but wouldn’t go back
Our server had too many tables to attend to so our dining experience took 2 hours for a table of two to have 1 drink and a meal. Great food but marginal service from a very knowledgeable server. Unfortunate for us on this particular night.
We did the omakase. It was fabulous but since the bartender was our waiter there was times we had to wait to eat our food because we wanted an explanation.
Our waiter chose amazing choices for our dinner; I cannot speak highly enough of their eggplant. However as a high end “special occasion” venue I’d be hesitant to return. My wife and I chose this as our delayed honeymoon dinner venue and were mildly disappointed in the lack of intimacy. Great food, incredible service, but the ambience could be improved.
The cocktails were the best part of the meal. I think if you're going to do Sushi in Denver you're better off with Sushi Den.
Amazing staff, delicious fish. The yakumi menu is everything!!
Food and service were extraordinary! Definetly want to return.
Must try grilled oysters!
Seriously the best sushi I’ve had ever. Staff was great too! Will be back.
Delicious and enlightening experience, highly recommend the ocean farmers roll
Every time I go to Bamboo, the service is outstanding. We sit at the bar and let the sushi chef make us whatever he wants.
Outstanding food, outstanding service, I cannot recommend this place enough!
The best sushi in town! We always have a great experience at Bamboo.
Amazing outdoor seating, service and food! Loved that they disclose where they source their fish. Bamboo Sushi will now become our regular go-to in the neighborhood.
Amazing food as always. Omakase is the way to go where the chef decides. So good!
Anniversary. Food and drinks were top notch. Service was pretty solid. Def recommend.
Very good. Everything was great, from the cocktails to the sushi. Just wish the fire pit (shared with Postino next door) was lit
Lilly was an excellent and engaging server. The food was outstanding!
Our server lily was fantastic! The food was delish!
Online reviews lead us to this restaurant. No disappointments here! The restaurant is modern with Asian inspired decor and its menu is a great play on traditional Japanese fare, but with modern twists that do not disappoint. The eggplant appetizer, seaweed salad and pork buns are excellent. My favorite was the grilled oysters and for my wife the green machine roll. Bamboo sushi is now flagged as a favorite of ours and we’ll be back.
Walked in at 6:30 and was pleasantly surprised that happy hour was going until 7pm. Also had a 15% off coupon so we ate a lot for a little. Service was great, so was the food. Not a ton of sushi rolls but plenty of everything else!
We are here because we wanted great sushi and love Sushi Den but wanted to try a different spot. Our expectations were high after speaking with our concierge at our hotel who raves about this place. She was right! I’d give it a 12 out of 10!!!! Better than Sushi Den!!
One of my favorite restaurants! Excellent as always- except they were out of SEVERAL things we tried to order.
Great sushi. Service was a bit inconsistent the second time here. The drink menu had its hits and misses.
I found the food ok, however the menu is not very rich in choices for those who don't like fish/seafood.
It was good , great last minute decision ,great service
A step above most of Denver’s Japanese offerings, and an excellent bar.
Food was great! Service was great. The person serving the water was not friendly at all. Couldn’t understand it. We made eye contact, said hello, thank you several times - no smile, no acknowledgment, nothing. Almost surly. He must have been to our table 10 times (which was great) but the lack of any sort of response was bizarre. It dampened the experience.
Best sushi in Denver. No question. The ya Kimi is next level. Doing the Omakase next.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, amazing service
A very nice and new place. Sushi was good. Service was very good. Beautiful place!
We arrived there and the mood was blah. We were seated at a small table in the corner despite the restaurant being relatively empty. The area was extremely hot with no ventilation on a 90 + degree day. The busboy brought our water and slammed them on the table and walked away without acknowledging us. We waited about 10
minutes and the waitress showed up. We informed her the area we were in was unacceptably hot. She said it was because the “garage door” was open. I asked if they had a/c. She said we could move outside. We did— we left. Didn’t get to try the food, but the attitude and atmosphere are the mood. The dining room had to have been 90 degrees. Unacceptable for a high end sushi place. The lack of caring by the staff told us it was tine to leave. There are at least 3 other sushi restaurants in Lohi. All are better choices
We’ve eaten at Bamboo twice so far. Try the chef’s choice sashimi. Excellent variety of very fresh and tasty sushi. We’ll be back!
This isn’t a sushi restaurant for sushi lovers. There was a lot going on with each dish (even the shishito peppers were soaked in a creamy sauce).
The only complaints are it was hot (like 90 degrees and barely any air conditioning ) and service was a little slow. But food and drinks were great!
Excellent service. Excellent food. Very delightful evening.
