Parisian Tea (French Macarons)
An iconic French dessert made from two cookies, joined with a layer of ganache, buttercream, or jam. Assorted 3 flavors
Everything was great except one of our servers sort of rudely told us our time was up. She wasn’t very pleasant and abruptly asked us to be done rather than giving us a heads up with time to finish our tea
Afternoon tea is a leisurely experience (plan for 1 to 1.5 hours) with an assortment of tea sandwiches, scones, and delicious desserts. The tea menu offers a nice and wide variety including black, green, white, and herbal teas with everyone in your party able to choose their own and try different teas. Mimosas plus non-alcoholic drinks are also available. A nice venue for bridal showers, baby showers, or a gathering with girlfriends. A pay-to-park lot is conveniently available behind the store as parking is limited street side in front.
It was our first time here, and it was good, service, food, & tea was great! Would come back again!
Babe’s Tea Room was decorated beautifully and the service was very quick and our waitress was so friendly and had great suggestions! Will definitely be returning!
Had such a sweet time at the tea room! Took two gal pals with me for an afternoon tea experience and Babe's did not disappoint. Can't wait to go back!
I've come for afternoon tea a few times now. It is so cute and fun! The service is great, the tea is amazing and the food is soooo good. I've come with friends and had tea and mimosas and I've brought my daughter for a cute tea party. No matter the event it had been perfect in every way!
Babe's Tea Room was the perfect start to my sister in law's bachelorette party weekend! Everything from the tea, food and customer service - it was all amazing! We can't wait to come back!
Beautiful place. The tea was great and the server did a wonderful job. Excited to recommend to my friends and family.
A wonderful time with girlfriends at Babe's Tea Room!
Such a cute experience, tried 3 teas
good thing that we brought blankets with us for outside seating. A little chilly outside with no heaters
Waited 15 to be seated for our reservation and then another 15 to be greeted at the table. Once we got going the service was fine.
Super cute spot! Great for a girls lunch. Took my sister for her birthday and she loved it!
The waitress was very helpful in suggesting tea flavors and was very attentive to our needs. This experience was a great treat for out of town family.
Fun atmosphere! So many tea selections. We would love to visit again!
The tea selection was incredible, and the employees were very kind. Our specific waitress was mildly inattentive, but was not unkind. I believe she was new, but she'll be great with more experience.
My bff and I love coming here. It's one of the hidden gems of Denver, with the best staff in the world.
Such a cute asthmatic aesthetic, server was knowledgeable and very helpful with what teas we should try. 10 out of 10 would do it again!
We loved Babe's Tea Room! It was our first time dining there and we were there for my bachelorette party. The tea and food were delicious and the staff was very nice. The ambiance was great, such a cute place to gather with friends and family. We will definitely be coming back in the future! I definitely recommend going with your girlfriends.
I prefer ala carte menu rather the tea set. Everything is son nice even this is a tiny tea room but, as long as you can sip a tea and talk about ‘tea’ everything is fine :)
This was a perfect mother/daughters brunch. So many different tea options! The "Afternoon Tea" was really great! The display was really cute and there was a nice variety in the food. The interior design was perfect as was the customer service.
When you reserve, the pop up says Vegan meals will be $28 but it was actually $40. Great tea and cute vibe but if you’re paying $40 it’d be nice to have some ability to pick what you want for food. All food menus (reg, gf, vegan) are set and the only thing you can select is tea.
I showed up on time and had to wait 30 min for hard stiff sandwiches
Perfect place and setting to catch up with my girlfriend.
Such a fun experience! Loved the decor inside and the employees were so kind!
We frequented this tea house as The House of commons. It is redecorated in a modern whimsical style with a funniest wallpaper in the toilet. The main salon is no longer traditional tea-house but a cheerful lovely cafe'. Great tea service, larger non-tea/ lunch menu selection. Food is good, wide assortment in the high quality tea. Plus: unlimited-tea option for tea service offers tea-lovers an opportunity to sample various teas. Awesome option to add sparkling of high quality. Very good experience, priced comparable to local tea houses; sparkling is a separate option/charge. Reservation: via Open Table requiring credit card & cites the charge but not charged till after service unless you cancel reservation late: fair as small specialty eateries spend $$ in advance to purchase food you reserve to eat. Call about store credit instead of cancellation charge, if plan to return. Parking: plan ahead. Covid policies: limited spaced seating with 1.5 hour table-use policy, plenty time for a tea service. Please give it a try & read no further if a customer.
Feedback for the new owner:
new tables considering it is a tea house curry chicken can be more tender but great flavor, please keep it on the menu. Consider adding back quiche.
Such a cute little place! Assortment of delicious teas was amazing!
Service slow, unorganized and our server must have been having a bad morning? Crabby and short.
Babe's Tea Room is a blast for a girls lunch or dinner. The overall cost is slightly high but it's worth it for the experience and ambiance. The location is small, so make sure you make a reservation. There was also a bridal party there when we were, and the noise definitely carries. Overall, the tea, drinks and food were great. We had a really nice time!
Cute little tea shop in a great area. Great variety of teas!
Great for a brunch with your girlfriends 👯♀️ Very aesthetic and cute and great service! Would go many times!
Tea was delicious but the service was slow took a long time to get our tiered tray and tea. Server was sweet just everything took a long time and was not timed correctly. Food was pretty good. It was very loud so hard to have a nice relaxing afternoon tea but I’d probably go again because the teas were all delicious
I ordered the expensive afternoon tea for myself and my daughter. I cannot recommend the food. All the bread for the tea sandwiches was very stale/dry. It was quite disappointing considering the cost for the tea. I'm not sure if it is a problem with making it too far ahead of time, improper storage or what, but while the service was good, I can't recommend the afternoon tea.
I knew I was going to be sitting outside and that the ambiance wasn’t going to be the same. I was prepared for that but it turned cold real quick and it was hard to get attention from our servers. It would have made a hide difference if they could have checked on us outside more often and warmed our tea. I’ve had much better experiences here.
I’ve been here a couple times and the food and tea options are pretty good. They have a large selection of different types of teas which you can also purchase. I’ve tried a good amount of their food from tea sandwiches, salads, scones, and sweet treats which don’t disappoint. What’s extremely disappointing is the service. The first time I visited, my party was running about 15 minutes late so we called ahead to give the restaurant a heads up. When we arrived, the woman we first interacted with was very rude and reminded us we had 90 minutes from our reservation time. No problem, we paid and signed our checks right before 90 minutes. The most previous time I went, we were seated 45 minutes PAST our reservation time. The restaurant was busy but my goodness the staff is so disorganized. We witnessed a family (who was celebrating their child’s birthday) wait 45 minutes for their table to become available. Clearly the staff don’t stick to the 90 minute policy for everyone and as parties stay longer, it’s a cascading effect. We waited 50 minutes for our tea sandwiches, three measly dipping sauces, and some grocery store lunch meat. We were allowed one glass of champagne or wine with our sandwiches for their “happy hour” (which is $30/person). Numerous times someone from our party had to get up and ask for something or grab another server running by. All in all, this place is cute and very popular right now but the service is dismal and severely lacking. It’s so far from the service you would actually receive at a true tea establishment. I’d rather take my business to Brown Palace from now on.
highly recommend! took my two nieces here for their birthday and they were so happy with the experience and I will def be taking a few girlfriends the next time. the employers there were so welcoming and sweet. really appreciated the accommodations and how they treated my nieces like adults and gave the ultimate experience
We had an outstanding afternoon tea! Very good food!! Very good service! Loved every second of our experience. I highly recommend babes tea room!!
Nice place, but took 42 mins to bring out first pot of tea.
I had a wonderful time celebrating a friend's birthday for a very affordable and delicious afternoon tea for 4. The gluten free and vegan options were a wonderful option. And we even took some of their macarons home. Lovely and expansive selection of teas with robust, bold flavors for the tea and tisain connoisseur. They also in contrast have a great selection of flavor teas more recognizable to the less adventurous palette. The tea sandwiches were perfectly bite sized, the scones- crisp, flaky and moist. One couldn't resist them, especially with the imported Devonshire cream, raspberry preserves and lemon curd configure plate. They have a variety of delifferent fat content milks and dairy free "mylks" to fog your earl grey with. Overall I highly suggest making a reservation, and if you can get in when they are less busy you'll have a quaint and quiet lovely meal. Although if you prefer a busier atmosphere their afternoon tea is delightfully energetic, bustling and packed (as can be with social distancing in place). Laughter and tea cup tintabulation make for a lovely chorus to pair with unlimited tea and delicious nibbles.
(I didn't mention it because I personally don't drink but they also have mimosa, billing, proaexco and champagne options as well)
Babes is a great place for a drink and a bite to eat. We went on a Friday morning and they were not very busy. Our waitress warned us that on the weekends they can become overwhelmed so either make a reservation or opt for a weekday. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea, champagne and sandwiches. I also enjoyed the wallpaper in the bathroom, so much so that I had to take a selfie.
