Azucar at La Serena Villas
Lovely poolside dinner. Excellent cocktails! Great service
Great al fresco dining. Food was wonderful. They could use a better wine selection to compliment the food.
Beautiful Ambience. Quiet little place
The filet was outstanding. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely go here again.
I was tempted to lick my plate after eating the scallops. The Brussels sprout salad and both choices of desserts were fantastic, too. Great atmosphere sitting outside on the roof last night. Highly recommend for any occasion.
Love it! Great place for cocktails and lunch. The arquitecture is beautiful and design.
First time diners at Azucar. Lovely atmosphere, pleasant service. My meal was delicious albeit a little “fussy”. Would definitely return.
Delicious food, great atmosphere and good drinks. Service was a little slow, but would not deter me from visiting again.
Go for drinks- skip dinner.
Upstairs bar at Sugar High has great views and a cool vibe; food downstairs is aggressively priced and underwhelming in execution.
Fantastic food and service as usual. Very loud and the place wasn’t even full (Friday night 7:30 pm).
Great evening meal on the rooftop.
Great food great service fun chill but trendy vibe
Beautiful rooftop dining! Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. Doesn’t get any better.
Great service! Fabulous food. Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful space.
My "new favorite" place to take friends when visiting Palm Springs
Azucar and La Serena Villas is a truly remarkable experience and I say this because it is far more than just a charming guest house with a restaurant and bar. The property transcends you to back to the 1930's when it was originally built, the recent renovation has transformed this property to a one of a kind boutique luxury hotel with an outstanding intimate yet funky bar and restaurant.
The restaurant and bar are open to the public and the service, food and setting are outstanding and a must see if you are visiting Palm Springs. If you're a local, I can guarantee you that this restaurant will be on your top 5 list.
A little restaurant with delicious food and great cocktails. A must stop while in Palm Springs. The patio upstairs is super cozy on a cool day!
We had the only table without an umbrella near the pool; it was sunny & warm. Lots of umbrellas around but waitstaff said no to our request for one. Service was slow. The vodka/lemonade/cucumber drink I ordered was not that good & too large. The watermelon feta salad was not a salad & the watermelon was not very good. The chips & guac were excellent, as well as the French fries but that was it.
Beautiful atmosphere, the design details are fantastic, food is great and wine list is fun!
I love this place! It was our first time on the roof patio. Beautiful space. There were two bachelorette parties the night we were there, so it was quite noisy. Otherwise, I still highly recommend it
Never a disappointment- love the vibe, food, drinks!!
It was a heavenly meal in a great setting. The kitchen made an error in one of the items we were sharing. They gave us that item and brought the correct item. A great recovery. Thank you!!
While I love the ambiance of this restaurant our past two visits here have been disappointing. The service is off...the hotel staff stops you before you enter and restaurant staff is not accommodating about getting a drink at the roof top bar...which is so lovely. Then dinner service was spotty waiters were not on top of orders and not knowing who was doing what.
The food was yummy and I love this place but feel service needs to improve.
Literally the best quality and tasting food in Palm Springs but the service is so sad… Over one hour for first cocktail to arrive… No second ever offered no one checked in on the meal etc. etc. place is beautiful and despite the horrific service is actually worth a visit just bring snacks to hide under the table while waiting for food and drinks to arrive
Average . No need to return, just a ok dinner nothing I will have to have again. I had the Brussel sprout salad and the scallops both recommended.
For two of my friends, this was there first time at Azucar, and it was a very successful experience for all of us! Thanks!!
Sweet spot with great ambiance. Service is a bit odd. Distracted and somewhat unfriendly. Food was solid. Diverse and thoughtful menu. Good portions. Would return.
I had friends visiting from Vienna and I wanted to take them somewhere very iconically Palm Springs. I had asked for a table outside by the pool and then phoned to make sure that is what we had. They neglected to tell us that the tables outside would not hold 6 people, so when we got there they stuck us inside! We were all extremely disappointed!
This was our third time eating there and I have to say third time was the charm. On our prior visits service was slow and indifferent, and the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Not this time. We were seated promptly upon our arrival, with a perfect outdoor table that had Ben requested (which also was the only table available), our waiter was over to check and see if we wanted to order drinks within 5 minutes of our sitting down, and cocktails were served promptly (and were delicious). Three of us ordered the scallops, and none were disappointed in their choice. Overall a very nice dining experience and pleasant way to spend a Sunday evening.
This was our 3rd visit here. The food was very good; I had the pasta, my husband & a friend had swordfish, all delicious. Our waiter was great, efficient, friendly and we did not feel rushed. The atmosphere is always lovely here. We are big fans!!
I’m going to try and keep it short. Keyword TRY. Fiancé and I were celebrating our two year anniversary and made reservations for Saturday 03/29 at 8PM outside. They didn’t have us down for outside and told us it would be another hour, because they were full even though I showed them my confirmation for outside. The Host was very unapologetic and even said “you guys are celebrating your anniversary? Yeah, sorry we don’t have the room” and said they could only sit us inside. Host service = depressing. Food = great. Ambience = pleasant. Service = poor, very poor. After being seated for a second time, finally outside - no waiter was assigned to us. So I sat for twenty minutes staring at my beautiful fiancé which was lovely until a waiter finally asked if anyone has helped us, which he then apologized and was great there on out. He then moved us to another table because our table top was lose and would fall if we placed another item on it. Maybe it was just an off night for them but the start of this definitely killed our vibe. We had the salmon and tenderloin which was mouth watering - this helped us get back on track and forget about the arrival until now.
Lovely setting, , great food and Ezekiel was an incredible server. What more can you ask?
This may be a lovely spot that I got on an off night. I wanted very much to like this restaurant— it’s adorable, has a rooftop I love a rooftop), and the menu looked to be right up my alley.
However, after being seated the experience went straight downhill.
It took, without exaggeration, 15 min to be greeted by my server, and by then I’d had time to choose everything I wanted. The app was "delivered" before my drink. I use " " bc it was legit tossed onto the table without a word from the woman who delivered it. Had I not heard a thunk when it hit the table I wouldn't have known. She said nothing and her back was turned as I looked up. I wasn't even sure what it was at that point. The scallops I ordered for an an entree were foul tasting and the server blamed me for ordering them well done (which I ALWAYS do) though I have never had that problem before. I had completely lost my appetite at this time so I just asked for my bill and left after my overly sweet drink was finished.
I’d say give it a try (with low expectations) for atmosphere alone. Grab a cocktail and enjoy the open air. Just DON’T order the scallops.
Romantic and intimate with good food and great outdoor deck
Excellent venue and great food and drinks! Would have been five star but several orders of salmon were over cooked and only one person asked for it to be better done.
The service was pretty slow but it seemed like he is the only server which is fair. The food was way too salty and overpriced
Regretfully the service detracted from the entire experience. First we were told our table was upstairs. Went up and waited for about 15 minutes. Tracked a waiter down, told him who we were and he took us downstairs, where we were told our table was downstairs. Were taken to our table, where we waited another 15 minutes before we were brought water, and were able to order cocktails. All in, 45 minutes after arriving we were served our cocktails. After that things improved. We had reservations, and they were were not that busy. Too bad, because other than the service it had a lot going for it.
Acottt was was great and we are returning soon.
It may have been an off night, but the main course was very slow to come out. When it did, both entrees were room temperature. It seemed like they sat somewhere for awhile before making it to our table. I might have sent it back to be be reheated, but no one came to check in with us at all about how we were doing once the entrees arrived. Given the overall rating otherwise for this restaurant, it was a disappointing experience.
Food and drinks were good. A little too much sauce on salmon dish though. Service was a little slow but ambiance made up for it.
