Kindly note, reservations can only be held up to 15 minutes after reservation time. Reservations are for 2 hours maximum on holidays and weekends.
There were a lot of gnats going around everywhere and not just our table. It’s due to the weather and it has been raining. It caused us more trouble than anything. Regardless, I enjoyed my swordfish sandwich. There weren’t a lot of servers around due to the COVID-19 so it was understandable. Our table was patient with everyone there. So, thank you.
We were a bit early for our reservation but they were very accommodating. Our server was an amazing gentleman. Very respectful and attentive. We had the Brussels sprouts appetizer(best I’ve ever eaten) flatbreads and s bottle of great wine. The cheesecake was shared by 3 (special lunch for sisters) was sublime. All around super lunch!
Will be back
This was the best meal i have had at any winery. The food was fabulous!!! Service - outstanding. Just as wonderful experience. This will be our regular spot to enjoy wine and food.
We went to Avensole for a Galentine’s celebration. From the moment we walked in to be seated until we left the establishment, the service was fantastic. Our server, Justin was fabulous. He was very attentive to our group, super pleasant and knowledgeable in regards to the menu. The food was delicious and served at the proper temperatures. There was something for everyone even our most pickiest of the group. I’ll definitely return to Avensole for future celebrations.
Made reservations on OT for 7:45pm as that's the earliest reservation available. When we arrived, we found a quiet, appealing place, with outdoor (brrrr) seating, except for bar area. The main dining area is all outside under a covered awning. The place was not busy at all, on a Saturday night following VD, so we were suspicious. After being sat, outside, we waited a good 10 mins or more, no one greeted us, or brought water, or said anything. We watched as two other newly sat tables were tended. We had to get up and ask the bartender if we could have someone wait on us. Christian agreed to wait on us, and took great care to provide excellent service. After feeling the chill wind blow in from the open area above the foundation, we decided to move inside, as patio heaters were ineffective. We sat at the bar, enjoyed some delicious red wines, the Barbera was our fav. We ordered & shared a Caesar salad, the mussels and the mushroom tagliatelle, & the meal came with bread & butter. Liked the salad, the mussels we're okay, pasta dish was served cold and was somewhat disappointing (we sent it back to have it heated), Cheesecake & Cappacino for dessert was delicious. Our bill = $165 including tip. May try a second chance dining during warmer weather 🌞
It was a great place to celebrate an anniversary
Unfortunately, I think we were the noise ones! We love attending the restaurant and having lunch. We also enjoy the wine!
It was too cold on the patio and the heaters were not adequate. Otherwise the experience was very nice
We came a little early but were seated immediately. Crowd was sparse so there was no one around us, enhancing the "Valentine's Day romantic ambiance." Adjacent heater was lit, waiter was extra friendly, service was excellent, wine was very good, and food was beyond excellent. Later, a large, noisy party was seated next to us, killing the "romantic ambiance," but fortunately we were almost done anyway. However, we chose to leave immediately after finishing our dessert rather than lingering over coffee. Just random circumstance---definitely not a deal-breaker---we will be back.
Beautiful outdoor dining patio with view of the vineyards made for a very enjoyable lunch. Casual, relaxed, and very pleasant ambiance. Impeccable service. Very attentive without being overbearing. Fabulous food. Some of the best in the area.highly recommended.
We did not get great customer service it took about 10 minutes after sitting down before our server came to ask us if we wanted something to drink.
Food and service were excellent. Seating was on the patio, and we changed table to be next to a heater, which was fine. However, as I was wearing only a dress shirt and no jacket, the back of the wrought iron chair was very cold.
Food was very good, once you got it. Kitchen was a bit slow. 20 minutes for desert??
I'd come back again, especially for their gold ribbon Tempranillo.
We had a great time. Nice music with excellent food.
We loved the food, vibe and service so much we went two nights in a row! Christian was an excellent server.
We are never disappointed when we dine at Avensole. We enjoy many evenings there with family and friends!
Everything was great except it took about 10 minutes for our someone to come by our table. In the end I had to ask a passing manager to take our order. Once that happened we had excellent service and an overall great experience.
Lovely patio seating for our lunch. Service was fine and food was fine. No one in our group RAVED about their food and we felt the flight of wine pours were a bit small.
We were looking for a nice spot to enjoy lunch and wine taste at the same time. Avensole more than met our expectation! Can’t wait to return sometime. ☺️
Good food, nice atmosphere. Was a bit crowded even though it was after the normal lunch hour so service was a bit slow. However, it's a good restaurant and I'd recommend it.
Our waitress was really nice (Marleen); however, it took almost an hour to get our food. We didn't order anything exotic that would take a long time, too. We had 1 celebration salad w/salmon ($25), chicken katsu sandwich with salad in lieu of fries ($20) and 1 flatbread ($18). Not sure if our waitress forgot to put our order in or the kitchen was really backed up? There was a party of 7 that arrived maybe an hour after us. They received their food within 15 minutes! The ambiance is nice, but for the price and service, there are so many other wineries in the area that I would return to. Sorry. I really wanted to like this place.
We love it. The food is delicious and the ambiance is incredible. Live music is always just right:
It was my birthday but also a friends get together! This was my second time here at Avensole and once again the experience and service was outstanding! I can’t get enough of this place and I am already planning to go back. The vibe of the place between the wine tasting room to the restaurant to the landscape and the service, just everything is perfect here now two times in a row!
Went for lunch and wine tasting and picked a perfect day. We like sitting outside on the patio overlooking the vineyard. The food is always delicious. I got the Smokehouse Burger medium and it was cooked perfectly. It comes with fried onion rings, cheese, BBQ sauce and a side of French fries. My husband ordered the bone-in rib eye with garlic mashed potatoes and roasted cauliflower. It was also delicious.
If you’re looking for a Temecula winery with really good food and good wine in a relaxing atmosphere, this is the one. All around better than all the others we visited.
Three people in our party had Cesar salads. The lettuce was nice and crisp, croutons were just dried bread without flavor and the dressing was sparse and lacked flavor. Drinks were awesome as was the dessert.
Beautiful restaurant, friendly service and fantastic food!
I have been here for a private tasting which was amazing in itself but did not realize there was a restaurant here as well. I came here for lunch with a girlfriend and the menu had so many yummy items to choose from. We ended up splitting a salad, a tamale on the appetizer and a charcuterie board with wine of course. It was plenty of food, presented beautifully and we were delighted!. I would not recommend this to a family with little ones as it is a quaint, but quiet facility meant for relaxing with a date or conversation with a friend. It is after all, a winery, meant to drink wine and relax, so keep that in mind if you have anxious little ones to attend to.
So cold. Affected the whole evening.
Love the new menu items
Burgers, pesto chicken sandwich & mushroom pasta was delicious! We definitely will come back!
It was absolutely FREEZING in the dining room, even though we asked to be seated near a heater. We asked to be moved inside and were seated at the bar. It was just as cold in there too, and my friend and I left freezing. In looking around, just about everyone in there was eating with their coats on. THIS IS INSANE. It gets cold in CA at night. Perhaps the winery should consider not being open for dinner in the winter. The salad I had was just ok. Shrimp were tough, and the lettuce tasted like bagged lettuce, which is why I never buy it, and it was not at all fresh...The service was great, so I did not take my disappointment out on the waiter/bartender as his service was excellent, and none of our issues were his fault. I think $46, $54 with tip, for a salad, 4 tough shrimp, and a glass of wine is a tad bit insane.
I was disappointed in the restaurant. We came a few years ago and loved it so decided to return with our family.
Portions were smaller and not as good as I remember especially cheese and meat boatds
Great service delicious food. Fresh!
We were visiting, we will return for sure
I could not have been more disappointed in this place...I took my assistant here for a Christmas lunch, based upon reviews...wow, what a letdown..very average ambiance, the food was Terrible and it cost $100 for lunch for 2 for 2 salads, 2 coffees and a shared dessert....what?!? I could have taken her to the Ritz for less $$
Just trying to save others this same travesty 😩
Great food! Fairly cold, even with heaters.
I was disappointed in the restaurant and particularly our waitress. First off, the service was incredibly slow. Our waitress did not have many tables to take care of, so I wasn’t sure what the problem was. My friend went through half her meal without the wine that she asked for. The menu stated that the salmon had crispy skin. I love crispy skin on salmon so I asked the waitress just to double check before I ordered it. She assured me that the salmon will be prepared the way I like. Of course, the salmon arrived and there’s no crispy skin. I would say this was a terrible experience but it definitely did not live up to what I was hoping for. There’s so many other great places in the area, so I don’t think I’ll be back.
Great lunch with friends, food is fantastic. One of the best in the valley.
Clearly a favorite on so many levels. Staff is the best!
