Aurum Maui is a new restaurant in the Shops at Wailea, offering seasonal island dining in a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. Our menu features New American cuisine that highlights local ingredients, blending tradition, innovation, and sustainability. Led by Maui natives Chef Partner Taylor Ponte and General Manager Partner Natasha Ponte, Aurum Maui's design connects the restaurant's ambiance to the island's essence. The organic, curving elements reflect Maui's natural beauty, inspired by its lush landscapes, dark stones, pristine sands, and shimmering waters. We’ve been patiently awaiting the opening of Aurum and were excited to check it out for happy hour. The entire restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff were really nice, the food was good, and their non alcoholic drinks were lovely. As a vegetarian I enjoyed the cauliflower as well as the heirloom tomato salad. Both were good and there were no complaints about any of the meat dishes from my family. There was a little bit of a wait for the food and disorganization with the timing of the food coming from the kitchen, however, that’s to be expected considering they just opened and I have no doubts that they will excel in the coming months. Overall we would reccomend it, and I’m sure it will continue to get better as they get more established! Cheers :) Ps: They offer Kama’āina

It’s only been open 4 days, but it’s already awesome. Our waiter Matthew was amazing, and so was the fresh locally sourced food. Everyone was very attentive and hospitable. We have loved dinning at Aurum in Steamboat Springs, CO for years, so glad they have a location on Maui now. We had the Parker House Rolls, the Fried Chicken, the Smash Burger, the Mushroom Campanelle Pasta and samples of the Apple Banana Cake, all were DELICIOUS! In fact, it was so good, we are going back today ; )

As a person that doesn’t make reviews. Me and my fiancé dined in tuesday night. We were mind blown about how great this place was, we forgot that they just opened a few days ago. Great service from the host stand to the end of our meal. The food was so ono! 10/10 However, our server Ben definitely made our anniversary dinner very memorable. The service from him was top notch. Made us feel like VIPS even we weren’t lol. Super professional, honest, attentive, and just a great person. We could tell he was getting slammed. That didn’t bother us though. He was still checking up on us and handle it like a boss. All the recommendations that he made was delicious!! Our favorites were the okonomiyaki, the fried chicken, and the honey ice cream!!!

Just opened. So not everything ran smoothly yet. But great potential. Starters ok, main courses excellent. Desserts soso. Service attentive but inexperienced. No liquor license yet.

We loved our experience, the service was outstanding. Ben took great care of us and was very knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended that we dine family style so that we could try more items and we were glad we did. The fish is excellent across a variety of preparations. What a luxury to enjoy house made pasta. Can’t wait for the bar to become available but for now byob is a treat. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be dining there often!

We tried a number of dishes, everything was amazing! Our favorite was the Ahi Tataki, Roasted Bone Marrow and the Gnocci. We will come back once the cocktail menu is established. The mocktails on the menu currently are very well balanced. Went on their second day, so you can tell they are still figuring things out. I’m excited for this new Maui eatery.

Food was outstanding, service was awesome, shoutout our waiter Beau. Thank you all for a 5 star meal. Aurum is our favorite new date night spot! Will be back

For of us were fortunate to get a reservation on the opening night, and we could not have been more pleased. The service was exceptional, friendly, informative, and responsive , making this a great choice for a special occasion. We tried a number of dishes, and all were great. The kampachi and the smash burger were two great, very different choices. We tried both the tomato and the bibb salad, and they were flavorful and fresh. Try the gnocchi and KAUA'I PRAWN OKONOMIYAKI for original starters. Also, we were comped the night’s soup selection, butter nut squash, and we’d order that again on our own. This is a great choice at the Shops. I really hope (and expect!) they’ll do well!

On an opening day? It was more than I could have expected… our group was maybe the second or third party in the restaurant but no matter how crowded it became we were treated like the first! We ordered most of the starter menu and were not disappointed. The highlights were the fries (I don’t even like fries like this and they were fantastic!) and the crudo tomato water should be a tasting shot of its own! Fantastic! Chef Partner Taylor Ponte, Executive Sous Chef RJ Domingo, and General Manager Partner Natasha Ponte have created a fine dining experience in reach of everyday dining. My family and I are opening day patrons who look forward to returning whenever we are in Wailea! Congrats on a wonderful restaurant with and amazing team!
