Residing inside the historic Agassiz Mansion at Castle Hill Inn, Aurelia is the next evolution in Castle Hill’s culinary journey – one that has been lauded as one of the best dining experiences in New England. Nestled on forty magical acres, the property has been the backdrop of memorable occasions for more than a century.

The Forbes and Relais & Chateaux restaurant, known in its original incarnation as The Dining Room at Castle Hill, offers a six-course prix fixe menu with imaginative dishes utilizing the local bounty of produce, seafood, and artisanal producers.

Aurelia’s dining rooms overlook Narragansett Bay in all its raw beauty. As the bay’s seascape and surrounding landscape change subtly with the seasons, so does Aurelia’s menu, culminating in a truly memorable experience.

Our Tasting menu is $165 per person. We ask that you provide a credit card at the time of booking to secure a reservation. If you fail to cancel at least 48 hours in advance or fail to show reservation time, the credit card on file will be assessed a $50 per person cancelation fee.

    Aurelia at Castle Hill's Chef Selection Six course dinner is outstanding with each course a different and unique experience. Castle Hill sits on the banks of Narragansett Bay over looking Newport Bridge and the entrance to the Atlantic Ocean with expansive views of Jamestown across the bay. the lawn at Castle Hill resembles a movie set with Adirondack chairs and cocktail servers providing an experience before dinner. The restaurant is quite small and intimate with windows overlooking the property. As you drive up to Castle Hill valets whisk you from you car in to the view of the bay with such efficiency that you feel like you have arrived for an incredible event out of the Gatsby. The six course Chef's selection has to be experienced because words do not give them justice. From imported starter asparagus, honey-infused palate cleanser, to the seafood and wagyu beef options and off the menu expansion of wine and cheese pairings to compliment the most discerning foodie appetite. The service includes the presentation of food by a small team with a head server over two and one half hours by felt like minutes as you wait in anticipation for each course. A friend who travels the world joined my wife and I and proclaimed Aurelia one the best in the world at the end of dinner!

    Aurelia is simply an extravagant culinary journey! I especially enjoyed the thoughtful wine pairings with each course and the serving team's careful explanation of the vintner and terroir. Why read this review when you could be booking a table!?!

    This was the most amazing birthday meal I have ever had. The service was top notch. The drinks were delicious. The wine pairing was so informative and perfectly chosen. Each course was a culinary delight. The only way to describe is it’s not just a perfectly coursed meal, it’s an experience and one that everyone should have. As a local Newporter I will recommend to everyone as the newly named restaurant lives up to the long standing traditions of Castle Hills reputation and should be enjoyed by all
