   I came to support a friend who was performing. The sound was diffuse and it was impossible to hear the singing. The lighting was problematic and annoying. Why hand out menus if the kitchen is closed? Drinks were amateur.

   We were able to get a reservation on open table for 11:30, but when we got there the waitress said they didn’t open until noon. The website also said they opened at 11:30. She let us sit at a table and said it might be 15 min before we could get food started. I had suggested we just have coffee instead at Alfred, but upon hearing that the waitress suggested sitting, so that was good of her to give that option or we would have definitely left. She was very sweet but always came out and stared at us before speaking. Maybe she was being polite, but one of us was certain she was high as a kite. Which I suppose is no big deal, but it was def weird for that time of the day. The food was very good ms beautifully plated. Seasonal menu so it can change based on what they get at the farmer’s market. Vegan menu was the reason we went. The food came out at different times so we had to wait for the last person to get their food and there was like a ten minute discrepancy. The chef came out to apologise though with a small taste of dessert. That was a nice touch. They also comped a juice. Would go again, maybe to see a music, comedy or strip tease thing. But clearly that’s not happening on a weekday at lunch. Haha.
