Artisan Waterfront Restaurant & Tavern offers a unique and innovative dining experience with magnificent views of Lake Michigan. Our Great Lakes-inspired, New American cuisine has an emphasis on farm-fresh fare from local and regional farms, celebrating the theme of craftsmanship and sustainability.
With booking a table in Artisan please advise your table will be reserved for 2 hours starting at the time of your reservation.
PLEASE NOTE THAT OUTSIDE TABLES ARE RESERVED UPON REQUEST BUT CANNOT BE GUARANTEED.

Our individual server was fantastic. However we waited probably 35-40 min between the starter and the main entre. To be fair they comped our wine, but it just wasn't a great high end dining experience.

Fantastic service all around. The hosts were so kind and accommodating to our large party. The server was so patient and attentive. Even the wine service was impeccable from management. We celebrated a birthday and the staff made it very special. Food was also very delicious, the lamb chops were some of the best I’ve ever had, thank the chef! We will definitely be back soon.

Service was amazing with very thoughtful suggestions. I had the cauliflower steak which was amazing - but a bit heavy on the salt. Then we had the strawberry desert. OMG amazing.

I had the Chicken Saltimbocca last night for the first time. Thinking it would be amazing like all the entrees I have had in the past, it was a complete disappointment. The meatballs were dry and the risotto was flavorless. The entire meal had no flavor at all. Worst of all, we had to pay for such a lousy meal. They either need to take it off the menu completely, or do something to add more flavor. We waited all week excited to go there for dinner and left very disappointed. The service is always top notch and the drinks and desserts are delicious.

Our table overlooked Grand Traverse Bay. The view was wonderful. Service was excellent also. The food was quite good. The Caesar salad was excellent The baked cauliflower was excellent, and the walleye was quite good.

Great place for our Anniversary dinner. Amazing food, farm board was delicious, scallops were cooked to perfection, salmon was excellent as well. Service was top notch.

Our server/s were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We ordered cocktails with funny names, they were all tasty and nicely garnished. The presentation of each of our meals was lovely and the food was delicious. The cost was on the higher side but it was overall a wonderful experience.

Our meals were excellent, and the service was outstanding. The staff are very knowledgeable about each entrée in the ingredients. And the ambience outdoors was beautiful this summer.
