To start with, I was required to wear pants but the mouse running all over the floor wasn’t even wearing shoes! But seriously, the service staff was impatient, unfriendly and behaved like they couldn’t wait to leave...offering to clear plates when we were still eating, bringing the check while we were still eating not offering coffee tea or dessert and no offer of help/assist with the menu.
Incredibly disappointing, would never recommend this place to anyone too many other great places to eat here in NOLA. The bar was great however and would have a drink there again.
Went with the wife for our anniversary: excellent service, cocktails and service! The team of servers (3-5 of them in total) truly made us feel welcome from a table reserved with a heart shaped balloon, throughout dinner, and concluding with a guided tour of their historic facility. The atmosphere is definitely old school fine dining, figure the portraits of the founders and owners to the hand laid mosaic floor. If you are looking something modern and chic, this isn't the place. While it has been renovated throughout the past century, it still maintains it's piecemeal charm of turn of the century iron work in the main dining room, Deco ballroom, and touches of 1950s and 80s remodeling. Filled with historicity (I think I counted 5 presidents on the walls), it makes a nice oasis in the midst of tacky bourbon street.
AmaZing food and service (staff and maitre d), and the Jazz group were so so Cool!!!
Looking forward to my next dining experience!!❣️
The dining area is so open and tables so close together that it was uninviting and loud. The staff had trouble moving around to serve. The wine list was good. We were very disappointed with the food. Very bland. Expected more flavor, more seasoning. Was nothing special.
This was my wife's first trip to New Orleans. As a fine dining chef from Thailand, I wanted her to eat the best of the best in terms of classic creole cuisine.
The food was ok, but did not blow us away.
We subsequently made friends with a woman who invited us for home made shrimp and grits at her house. It was the most heavenly dish we've ever had for breakfast.
Arnaud's is lovely for the history, but the menu could use some adventure and passion.
First trip to this wonderful place, but we shall return. The place is beautiful, the service is first class. We started with drinks at French 75. We were seated right on time. Started with escargot and smoked pompano. Both were great. Thin sliced fish with wonderful toppings. Snails cooked in garlic butter and covered with a light pastry.
Crab Karen was my entree. Creamy crab covered with a wonderful pastry in the shape of a crab. Wife had the stuffed quail. Nice sauce covering two semi boneless quail.
Finished the meal with two coffees and an order of peppermint glacé. This place is amazing.
Amazing experience. A must see when in New Orleans!!
The service and food were both outstanding.
I had early reservation so not many multiple there yet so had the attention of almost all the waiters. Lol Food was phenomenal! Had French Onion soup to start. Main course Veal Tournades with Risotto. Dessert was Chocolate Bomb
Great meals and great memories. The service was impeccable. We tried several appetizers. The crab cakes, crab dip and puffed potatoes we’re scrumptious! The entrees were deliciously prepared. Save room for dessert: Bananas Foster! Yummy!
Service and food here was outstanding.
Unusually quiet night was enjoyable. Another wonderful Arnaud’s dinner!
We were disappointed in the food. Average at best. Service was good.
Beautiful dining room for a great New Orleans brunch with traditional Jazz Trio playing the room. Experienced wait staff led by MaitrD Charles is flawless. Just a pleasant dining experience.
We always love Arnaud’s. It is my favorite! The service is great (they’re in teams) and the food is classic New Orleans.
Everyone was very professional, we did have one meal come out overcooked, but it was handled quickly and the manager came over to make sure the replacement waa correct.
Arnaud’s is the whole package for gracious, mouth watering New Orleans dining. The only problem was my wife would not share her mixed oysters appetizer.
Anniversary Dinner. Food was great although portion size was small. Atmosphere very “old school New Orleans” but still enjoyable. The main problem was the price. Very inflated for such small portions and I was charged for every refill of Coke without being informed that refills weren’t free.
First time at Arnaud can’t wait to go back
Well appointed classic New Orleans Restaurant and been around for years. As always, the service is awesome. Was a little disappointed in the food quality. Thought is was just not what I remembered. It was tasty enough just didn't seem up to par with the reputation of the "famous" Arnauds. Would I go there again? Yes I think I would.
Everything about this visit was amazing. Best place in NOLA, I've found thus far.
Every time we come to New Orleans, this place is a must for dinner. Everyone is so sweet and the food is so good.
Wonderful Sunday brunch. Excellent, friendly, fun musicians. 4 course menu was delicious. Atmosphere lovely -- feels like Paris. Go!
The food here was incredible even by New Orleans standards! The menu doesn’t have a wide variety of foods, which I consider good. They know their strengths and focus on them. The main dining room is a little loud and echo-ish but it is still an amazing experience!
Friends getting together after 44 years
A fabulous place to eat!! We came here to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. All the staff were attentive and helpful. The food was amazing! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
I have visited New Orleans many times over the years and eaten at all of the most popular restaurants. Arnaud's was really our best meal when visiting last year and again this past week. It is truly underrated for what they have to offer. I ate at GW Fins (across the street) and the food was good, but nothing special. Arnaud's was special - fantastic bread, wonderful seafood, amazing service, and they have the best bread pudding of all the restaurants in town.
Celebrated our anniversary while in New Orleans at Arnauds main dining room. The service was very good, and the food was delicious. We had a filet minion topped with a soft shell crab, and fillet of fish with crabmeat topping that was superb. Didn't try desserts, as the entrees were sizable portions. The soufflé potatoes were wonderful. Ambiance was elegant, though a bit cold, and the decor was just ok. Definitely recommend.
One of the mainstays that still deserves credit for maintaining high standards. Service, ambiance, sophistication and food were all top drawer as expected. A total joy to experience our anniversary dinner there!
Father's Day brunch was delightful! We enjoyed every aspect, the food, the entertainment, presentation and service were excellent! Thank you!
Our visit to Arnaud’s was the last meal of our NOLA honeymoon weekend. The Sunday jazz bistro 4 course meal was spectacular. The added occasion of Father’s Day celebrations put some pressure to live up to. The food, ambiance, considerate service, thoughtful hosts and jazz band really made the brunch so amazing. Arnaud’s reputation lives up to their quality, customer service and heart-felt experience. Bravo!
Great Father’s Day brunch ! It was all over the top.
Sunday Jazz Brunch, awesome experience! Must do in NOLA!
Dining at Arnaud’s was an amazing experience. The food was wonderful. The staff was attentive and professional. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I look forward to returning.
Great dining experience with excellent food and service.
Arnaud’s is always a fabulous dining experience. We always enjoy a meal here when we visit New Orleans.
Always the best dinner in the "Big Easy"!!!!! Great food and fabulous service!!!!
This restaurant is a little pricey, but it's the best in New Orleans, which is really saying a lot.
My husband and I have eaten there many times, and the meal is always a delightful and delicious experience.
Broad menu offering featuring lots of seafood. They have a variety of baked oysters; fortunately one selection was a plate with one of each. My wife had Dorado fish. It wa cooked nicely with lots of flavor. I had crawfish with rice. It was good but the sauce becomes overpowering. Drink menu is broad. In NOLA at a 100 year old restaurant the price was justifiable high but not outrageous.
We love this place -a classic dining experience - a French Quarter classic menu - My oysters on the half shell appetizer - delic - my husband's baked oyster trio - well prepared and tasty. We ordered the very traditional Pommes de Frites and asparagus as sides for our entrees. WOW - both vegetables and entress first served luke warm - but this was rectified immediately - the table was cleared and we received hot dishes. - I had the pompano with herbes - I would not get again - too herby without the lushness of butter - my husband's drum fish to die for - Anastasia, our server, was very professional , attentive and knowledgeable. A must do experience !
