Legend has it that Collinet, French King Louis Phillipe's (reign 1830-1848) chef unintentionally created soufflé potatoes by plunging already fried potatoes into extremely hot oil to reheat them when the King arrived late for dinner one night. To the Chef's surprise and the king's delight, the potatoes puffed up like little balloons. We hope that you will be equally delighted. Served with Béarnaise Sauce
Birthday dinner for my husband was outstanding!
My wife & I had a very lovely dinner at Arnaud’s. The French 75 was the perfect cocktail to start the evening. The wait staff did an excellent job of explaining the menu and recommended a very nice Chablis to go with our selections of Trout Menuiere and Crab Cakes. Both entrees were very well prepared. So all in all a great evening to celebrate being back in New Orleans after a horrible COVID-19 year spent in isolation.
Food was mediocre and service was the same. I understand everyone is getting back on their feet post Covid but expected more from this legendary restaurant.
Unforgettable. I been to top restaurants all over the world. I have had fantastic service with great food. But the top restaurants always seem a little cold somehow. Arnaud’s somehow combines the best of everything with a warmth that made the evening perfect.
We went mid week, which seems to be when the locals come out. Recommended.
Top notch from start to finish! Excellent Sunday brunch experience complete with the best food and classic Jazz music. We will definitely come back the next time we are in New Orleans!
Jazz brunch was fabulous. Band was very good. Special treat to hear one of the waiters belt out an amazing show of vocal genius.
Service is always PERFECT. Food was very good.
awesome jazz brunch in a romantic setting; highly recommend
Arnaud’s is consistently fabulous! Always a wonderful meal and service.
Best service ever in 58 years, anywhere, in any city. Outstanding team at Arnaud’s
Husband’s fish dish was amazing, unfortunately, my chicken was tough and not remotely good. The capers, mushrooms, and artichoke accompaniment were good though.
Great atmosphere, amazing service, & the food was worth it all. the souffléd potatoes were worth every penny- highly recommend!!
Excellent food and classic vibe. My daughter and I had a cocktail at French 75 and then headed next door into Arnaud's for dinner. We shared the Shrimp Arnaud and the Oysters Arnaud - both very delicious. The Veal Chantal was rich and tasty. My daughter had the Quail Elzey which was outstanding - I would definitely come back and have the Quail myself. The Bananas Foster tableside and the Cafe Brulot tableside are fantastic since you get to watch the show tableside while they are prepared. I definitely recommend Arnaud's.
It was amazing. Augie and your entire staff made the evening so special.
Thank you for such a wonderful experience! ❤️
The food was good, but a $45 steak didn't come with any sides. Everything was ala carte. They charged us for refills of our sodas! $2 per drink! The food was good, but not worth the money. We will not be back.
Wonderful meal with excellent service. One of the best restaurants in the world. Always a great experience in a beautiful old New Orleans setting. They make you feel like family.
Service was GREAT
Amazing! Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful food and presentation. Service was impeccable also. One of our favorites and will definitely be visiting every time we are in New Orleans.
We had a wonderful time at the jazz brunch. The food was excellent and the portions were just right. The music was lovely and the decor is charming. Don’t leave New Orleans without experiencing this gem.
Birthday brunch was great!
We arrived for our anniversary brunch at 10:00. It took about 30 minutes for the jazz music to begin. The wait staff was well staffed, almost too much. It felt like we were being rushed to make our choices. However, we made reservations here because we wanted to hear live jazz music and enjoy the experience. The food, service, and ambiance was good.
Excellent experience. The food was delicious and service impeccable.
Everything was outstanding, except the noisy environment. Too loud to have a peaceful dining.
On the other hand, the food and the personalized service was outstanding.
I recommend to everybody who would like to degustate a good gourmet food, to come to Arnaud's. You will be more than pleased.
Again no better restaurant in NOLA for staff, attentiveness, food, drink and GUMBO! They all are happy to be there, remember you each time and 100% consistent.
As usual, their attention to detail was excellent. The food was excellent , actually way above excellent. I loved the fact that they did not rush us! We were there for 2.5 hours savoring every bite of food and enjoying our time together- they attended to every detail. I had mentioned something to them in my reservation note and they brought out my Mother a little surprise dessert.... she teared up - it was a special moment. This restaurant has been consistently wonderful generation after generation- our family has been eating there since the 1920s...so 4 generations of my family has eaten there... and we will continue to do so!!
Absolutely outstanding! There were a few things we didn't like, taste-wise, but it was personal preference. We ordered a lot so we could try everything! Service was amazing, food stellar, atmosphere just beautiful. Love this place! Will definitely go back if we are ever in NOLA.
We made reservations for our wedding anniversary. Each person acknowledged and wished us Happy Anniversary. The drinks were good, appetizer (smoked pompano) OUTSTANDING!!!! I had their signature salad and crab cakes, OUTSTANDING! Hubby had signature salad and Pompano and he said OUTSTANDING too!! Topped off marvelous dinner with Bananas Foster. Our waiter and his team were attentive and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend restaurant and we would go back.
We much prefer Arnaud’s over most restaurants in New Orleans and especially love their Cafe Brulot presentation. We had a wonderful evening celebrating our 40th anniversary.
No complaints. Can't wait to go back again for dinner.
Very classy. Respectable portions. Good service and ambiance.
Wait staff was competent; sommelier and female waiter were good; food was average at best; caesar salad was warm and not crisp; seems like turtle soup had been under the heat lamp and had started to skim over; kitchen pacing was poor with large time gaps between courses; filet sauce was salty; souffled potatoes were luke warm - sauce was good; side of mushrooms was meager; won't be going back any time soon
Was expecting more. I feel like they are living on their name. Seems like they are going through the motions. Went to other fine dining places during my trip that were much better. Sorry to say, as I had such high expectations.
Great to see a fabulous restaurant fully staffed and fully occupied. Everything was as you would expect a 5 star restaurant to be.
The famous puffed potatoes were cold and chewy.
The staff was courteous but not warm.
The restaurant needs some counseling.
Food was excellent. We were seated right next to combo which was great but made it hard to talk. Turtle soup was exceptional. I was a little disappointed that I mentioned birthday in reservation and again when a call came to confirm the reservation and then realized there was no mention of it at all from servers. But dining room beautiful and food great
Arnaud’s did not disappoint! From the delicious remoulade sauce on the shrimp Arnaud to the exquisite crabmeat cheesecake the food was second to none. The service was equally wonderful, and Mo took wonderful care of us right through the table side bananas foster flambeau and directing us to the Arnaud’s Mardi Gras museum for a self directed tour. The jazz brunch was not too loud to converse and make wonderful memories with our dear friends - we look forward to returning soon!
We are not NOLA natives, but members of our family have been eating at Arnaud’s for over 50 years. For a recent family reunion, celebrating birthdays, graduations, and anniversaries, we chose Arnaud’s, and were overjoyed to find that the dear place has lost none of its quality, charm, or liveliness. The staff treated us like visiting royalty. For a group of food and wine lovers, the meal itself was perfect. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented.
We could not have asked for a better way to meet again after such a long and difficult year, and we are grateful for the people at Arnaud’s for welcoming us so graciously after what we can only imagine must have been a difficult time for them as well. We will all be back, hopefullyto celebrate many more special occasions in the future.
The Jazz brunch at Arnaud’s has been our favorite jazz brunch in the French Quarter. The music was amazing, the service was attentive without feeling intrusive, and the ambiance was “fancy” without feeling “stuffy.” As for the food, it was incredible. I would definitely return for the Jazz brunch on our next visit.
Reservations were made well in advance. Food was great for escargot and entrees of steak and duck. Banana Foster was served and great with an excellent Port.
Some new staff make wine error but corrected and apologized.
We had dinner for my daughter’s college graduation and everything was superb.
