Incredible service and gorgeous old New Orleans charm but the ambiance lacked a bit, it was too too quiet.
Our group had a wonderful pre-game brunch in the main dining room on January 13. We enjoyed fantastic appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts while listening to the lively-house-jazz band, and enjoying the energetic ambiance. As always the food and service were outstanding. Arnaud's is our go-to brunch spot on Sundays. Arnaud's is family friendly for all ages, and a true and accurate representation of New Orleans cuisine and culture. Thank you to the wonderful service staff for a perfect-local-dining experience.
Saints Playoff Game!
Amazing meal and amazing service ! 👍👍
A New Orleans landmark. Excellent food, wonderful staff. Can be a bit loud and be prepared to sing “Happy Birthday” more than once on weekend nights.
We had 3 great meals there. Everything on menu is excellent. The service the best. We been going there for over 20 years. Never disappointed! Ask for Doug or if you lucky to be there on Sunday and he is there-Charles.
Fantasatic experience at Arnaud's. This is truly a gem of New Orleans. The ambiance is beautiful but not stuffy at all. The food is very creative, very delicious and the presentation is great. We had the mushrooms Veronique which was smothered in cheese and delicious, I had the Crab Karen which was a flaky puff pastry in the shape of a crab around delicious fresh crabmeat. We also had a vegetarian dish which is very hard to find in New Orleans - a local squash stuffed with an eggplant mixture which was very nicely prepared. The puffed potatoes were very light and flavorful. For dessert we shared a chocolate bomb. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. All in all a great experience.
Went for a birthday. The staff at Arnauds made us feel welcomed and at home. They were kind, cordial, warm, and wonderful. The food especially the OYSTERS were phenomenal. So was the tableside Bananas Foster. Loved this experience.
Like many of the old New Orleans restaurants, their attraction is name and history. Frankly the food is mediocre compared to many restaurants we have been in. I suppose for a US tourist city (and I'm from Nashville) it is acceptable, but by International standards not very impressive. The Oysters Bienville were good, the Crabmeat Karen (crab in a Wellington type pastry) only acceptable. The pastry is too heavy and the crab not very tasty.
Just spectacular food. Beyond words. Old world service. Not inexpensive but a truly memorable experience.
Delicious. Great atmosphere & excelleny service. Drinks were pricey, but still worth the price, especially for a special occasion.
I came home here over 20 years ago and loved it then. This being my sweethearts first time in The Big Easy, I wanted her to share in some of my previous pleasures. There was no disappointment here! Everything was as exceptional as I remembered it !
The shrimp starter was nothing special - bland flavor. The entre was cold, especially the risotto. The dessert, which our server recommended was too sweet and neither of us finished it. Would not return.
We had a great dining experience. Food was wonderful and service was great. We introduced friends that just moved here from Jackson, MS to a real New Orleans tradition. We had one of our son’s rehearsal dinner at Arnaud’s and it was such a memorable night.
Service was wonderful and food excellent!
Great food and service. Can never go wrong with the Arnaud’s signature dishes. Wonderful restaurant for a business dinner! Thanks as always!
Arnaud's was incredibly good. Top shelf service start to finish. The highlight of the evening was the tableside Banana's Foster. Perfectly prepared and tasted amazing. Highly recommend!
We tried many restaurants during our New Year's family vacation to NOLA and Arnaud's was definitely one of our favourites. The prix-fixe menu was an excellent value and the food was absolutely delicious. The dining room was beautifully decorated for the holiday season which added to the festive ambience. Definitely worth dressing up for this special occasion restaurant.
Amazing trifecta....food, service and atmosphere, thank you for a great experience. We tried 9 dishes and all were amazing.
Arnaud's was a great choice for our family to dine on our recent trip to New Orleans. The food was excellent, and the service was particularly outstanding. The staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcome; they were great ambassadors for the establishment, sharing briefly on the restaurant's history, in response to our questions. We will definitely make a return visit when we are back in town.
Great food in a beautiful old New Orleans building, with impeccable service.
Arnaud’s approach to food is very old school, lacks any real creativity and I suppose they use the old trick, “ if you put enough butter on something it will eventually taste good “. Very disappointing New Years Eve meal in a city where we enjoyed other restaurants immensely. Starting off by being handed soiled menus by disheveled appearing servers, the evening worsened as the minutes ticked by. My
filet of beef was tasteless and the once crispy fried oysters
were drowned by the accompanying sauce on the plate. My husbands fish was swimming in butter, lacking any real flavor by the supposed “herbs “ used. After our server coughed into her hand and immediately used the same one to pour more water, I knew it was time to leave. But somehow , maybe we thought dessert would save the meal ! NO! Not when the strawberries are ice cold and hard as rocks, ugh! If you’re looking for an expensive restaurant in the French Quarter that pays little attention to detail or cuisine creativity, provides very little service ( obviously overwhelmed staff )congratulations, you have found your place!
We are a family of three and visited Arnaud's on New Years Eave. The food was fantastic. We had several traditional creole dishes, which is exactly what we wanted in New Orleans. Lovely atmosphere and professional attitude of servers. I would gladly return for dinner on any occasion.
Fantastic, hands down the best restaurant in New Orleans. Being a native Louisianaian, I feel that I can stay this.
Great meal, great service
We had such a wonderful experience at Arnaud’s for dinner, that we booked the same table for lunch the next day which was New Year’s Eve and they made it happen. We always have Arnaud’s on our agenda every time we are in New Orleans.
Beautiful room, decorated and festive for the holidays. Great menu - we had 7 people and sampled many different dishes. Friendly service. Will definitely go back and recommend to others!
A New Orleans institution...what more to say.
Consistently excellent in every way. Always our first stop in NOLA
We were celebrating our 50th Anniversary and the night at Arnaud's was very special. We had eaten at Arnaud's on our honeymoon and this brought back wonderful memories. It has been our favorite restaurant in New Orleans now for 50 years. Over the years we have eaten here at least once a year or more. We also have hosted several large parties and have never been disappointed. It was also the choice of our son on the night of his graduation from Tulane. It is truly a New Orleans' treasure.
One of my top 5 restaurants ever. The food was amazing as was the service. This French Quarter icon is well worth it’s status.
We were in the Mezzanine. A party of 18 celebrating a birthday came in. It was extremely noisy. We were there as a couple. Couples should not have been placed up there with a party. Extremely noisy. Unable to speak to each other.
Dined here during a mini New Orleans - French Quarter vacation. Absolutely fell in love with this place. From the scenery to the authentic food to the amazing waiter staff. If you want a timeless, classic French Quarter vibe, go to Arnauds! I will be going back every time I visit NOLA.
We stayed in New Orleans on our Honeymoon 45 years ago. Arnaud’s has been on our “bucket list” for a long time. The seafood gumbo, crab cakes and Shrimp Remoulade were delicious.
The good: Beautiful space. Magical.
The bad: a lot. No coordination between servers. Which was annoying. One would come and take our order and another would come and do the same. This happened all night long. Too bad, our female server was so sweet. However, also asked her for bananas foster, but wanted it table-side for my daughter to see the “spectacle.” She said: “maybe.” And then I asked again and she said “if it’s possible.” Asked again and she said “if we can do it.” So strange. Just tell me if you can do it or not!
As far as entrees: My fish was bad. My wife’s fish was great. My daughter had 4 hairs on her steak. No joke. 4. Felt like complaining would be an issue. Never again going here.
BUT - if you don’t care about the food and the service, the atmosphere is magical.
Wonderful as always!! It’s a favorite and classic!
Beautiful way to spend the Holiday. The service and food were wonderful. We will return on our next visit to New Orleans.
The food is way overpriced and disappointing and portions are small. Service is friendly but we wouldn’t go back.
They stuck us upstairs because our brother has down aundro
