We love Arnauds and try to visit each time we are in New Orleans! Phenomenal service and delicious food!
Dinner was so amazing! From beginning to end i had no complaints. There is a reason this restaurant has been open for as long as they have and if I’m back in New Orleans i will definitely be back. Thanks so much.
Arnaud’s is a solid choice for celebrating with the grandparents or taking out a business client. The menu is traditional rather than creative with standard classic dishes. The ambience is quiet and genteel, and the service impeccable if not overly friendly.
The food was good but not what I was expecting. The waiter would not bring us a plate to cut our bread on, he said they didn’t mind if you made a mess with the bread crumbs. Finally had to get them from the appetizer server. Ambiance was nice as was dessert.
Famous Potato Soufflé was very salty. Entrees were very good but not great. Shrimp Arnaud was very good.
Arnaud’s is a lovely place. The crab cakes were delicious but the baby vegetables had no flavor. My husband enjoyed the escargot and had a delicious and tender steak. The potatoes were unusual. He would have preferred a baked potato or potatoes au gratin. The bananas foster was delectable! We were there on a Thursday evening and the service was slow. Not sure why since it wasn’t that busy. For the price, the service should be beyond reproach and the sides should be as good as the main courses.
Outstanding menu with impeccable service! Definitely a must stop when in New Orleans!
Good selection and some great food. Had an issue with the temperature of my steak and the wait staff brought the issue to mgmt themselves. We plan to go back the next time we are in NOLA
Delicious food with excellent wait staff
Disappointing food, horrible service. At this level I expect a seasoned veteran to be serving me not somebody that hasn't mastered the basics. Food was overly salty and in general not very tasty. Service was slow an inattentive.
Friends in town. Great evening, the service was impeccable!!
Love this NOLA institution. 75s in the bar & Oyster Arnaud at dinner. What’s not to love!? Don’t miss it anytime I’m in town.
Old fashioned . Somewhat pretentious.
Needs to move on
I went on a long weekend with some girlfriends and we decided to splurge it out. This was a fabulous place to do it, the service was impeccable and the food was a treat. even though the setting was elegant, the waiter was funny and charming. We will definitely be back.
It was part of a mither-daughter weekend. Everything was wonderful, although I wish they offered a main dish for vegetarians. The cheese omelette was skimpy on the cheese. Otherwise everything was perfect.
The food was excellent, except for the Crabmeat Karen, which unfortunately was full of crab shells. The appetizer portions are very, very small, which wasn’t unexpected. The waitstaff was very attentive and the restaurant is beautiful.
March 7, 2020.Brothers birthday and his 1st visit to New Orleans . Arnaud’s staff, food selection and presentation were outstanding as expected. Special thanks to Doug and Kendall for attending us. The fellow before Doug was rather snobbish when we asked for a clarification of a menu item (the 4 of us felt his sting). Other than that the experience was exceptional.
This is a classic New Orleans dining experience in a beautiful, history-packed setting. The food was good but if you’re from a great food city like NYC or Chicago, it might seem rather expensive for what you get.
Not what it used to be. The menu and service seemed tired and touristy. For the price, I would not recommend this restaurant. I ordered the Pampano David for close to $30 and got a thin, overcooked fillet in the middle of a bare plate.
Food as always was amazing.
A must-go place to understand classy old New Orleans.
We went to Arnaud’s for a Birthday dinner. The food, service and ambiance were amazing!!! Definitely will recommend to friends and will return again!!!
Everything spot on.The wine list was over priced but the food bill was fair.Service exc .Best frog legs!!!
History was great. Reminds you of an old hotel dining room. Food was very good. Service was mediocre as the waiter could have cared less about us. Desserts were average. Most all the items were fairly salty. Glad we went once. Not sure I would go back again.
We had a wonderful experience- it was everything I had imagined. My two boys who are 8 and 12 also enjoyed their experience and the staff was incredibly professional. Thank you for making our trip to NOLA so memorable.
This restaurant was highly recommended and I had great hope that it would be a wonderful experience. The service was amazing, the atmosphere beautiful, the food was just okay and unfortunately the noise level was extremely high. We ordered the mushroom appetizer which wasn’t special at all. I had the crab Karen and my daughter ordered the crab cakes. The crab Karen lacked flavor and crab. The crab cakes were pretty decent.
The atmosphere although beautiful lends itself to a very loud room. With the ceiling as high as it is at Arnaud, noise is unavoidable.
We did not order dessert.
You can always count on Arnaud’s for wonderful food and outstanding service!
Superb food, service, and ambiance as always!
No lump crab meat in crab cheesecake
The waiter was angry and rude
Brunch with my cousin and her hubby and mine. We were visiting NO and found this on Tripadvisor so I booked us for brunch. Bar area is beautiful and quiet during brunch. The acoustics in the dining area however are very loud. The musical trio playing tableside was very nice! I would think the required collared shirt on a Sunday at brunch would be more relaxed as my husband had a collared sweater but they still made him wear one of their jackets. Not necessary! Food was very good.
We have dined at Arnaud's numerous times and it is always an outstanding meal. We enjoy the atmosphere of the Jazz Brunch on Sundays. You can expect to spend $50-$75 per head ( depending on your beverage choice). Dress is business casual, but always fun to dress up a little.
Very classy and great service.
Food was good not excellent
Table and chairs not up to standard with the level of restaurant
People and service 5 star
Flooring of restaurant not updated
Service was outstanding. Delia was first class
We loved the food, the exceptional service and the ambiance.
Everything was fabulous!!
The service was wonderfully attentive. The ambiance was elegant and relaxing. Our food was amazing! The bar next door was delightful!
Service was excellent however I was disappointed in the food. Crab cakes very small and over cooked. Veal ok but over priced for the quality. Banana foster was a big disappointment. We did have a $90 bottle of wine so with appetizer main coarse and desert the cost for two people was over $300.
