Ariana Ratings and Reviews
Ariana was everything we imagined and more. I made the reservation a month ahead of time for my girlfriend’s birthday and we were not disappointed. After taking a quick Uber to the convenient, Galveston location, we chose the chef’s selections 5-course meal. The food/wine selections were off the charts. Our only suggestion was for the waiter to SLOW DOWN a little in the middle of the experience since we felt pressed to pound our wine since he already had the next glass ready for us on two occasions. That’s just a small detail for improvement as we will return and encourage our friends to dine at Ariana in the future. Definitely Five Stars! Cheers ~ Stan Talbott / Peggy Lovejoy (longtime Bend Natives)
The food was as superb as always and the chef goes out of his way to make dishes with no bacon, there were 3 of us who wanted the clams and cod but without the bacon cream, so he made a special sauce for us. I also increased the reservation from 4 to 6 just a few days prior and they seated us with no problem. We try to eat there as early as possible as the noise level goes up as the evening goes on. By the time we are leaving, we are glad to do so especially after the very fine meal we had.
As always, the food was amazing. We went with some visiting friends to show them how wonderful the food scene is in Bend, and they were duly impressed. I DID take away one star from service. We had wanted to order an appetizer to have with a cocktail while we looked at the rest of the menu, and our server told us that they didn't do that -- that we had to order our entire meal at once. I tried to explain that we might want to order differently based on the appetizer, but she was steadfast. We ended up doing it her way, but it really just kind of annoyed me....
Always a special treat to dine at Ariana. Celebrated our anniversary with the best Manhattan in town, a delicious meal and our server, Ben was so professional, personable and made everything special for us. The carpaccio is a must for an appetizer. This restaurant is ALWAYS consistent with impeccable service, food and ambience. I have never been disappointed.
If you could only use 7 characters. I would just say " AMAZING ". Our server Castle was fab . The soup was a celery base and delicious. The Rad salad was so fresh and the tastes just radiated. The short ribs over cauli mash are always the best and worth the hard to get reservation. No desert we were full.
Will will be back.
Ariana is such an amazing dining experience. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time. My husband and I visited for our wedding anniversary. We had the chef's tasting menu and it was absolutely incredible. The service was impeccable. We could not recommend this restaurant enough. Will definitely visit again next time we're in Bend.
Some of the best prepared food I've had in Bend. It's quality not quantity here, so if you are looking for an" all you can eat pasta bar" this isn't your spot.
They've got a great wine list as well. Only complaint would be the red wines were served at room temperature v. cellar temperture. A minor ding, but something a place of this calibur would typically have sorted out.
Probably, certainly alluring. This is a destination restaurant that presents unforgettable food from a talented chef. It is a pleasure to dine here; it is memorable; it is fortunate to encounter this level of cooking, anywhere. And it is inexpensive relative to the experience other restaurants could provide and would have you pay. People are grateful for the pleasure and proud of the expression of sheer talent. The art of eating starts here. All of my friends will hear about 'Ariana'
Ariana never disappoints. We come to Bend from Boise every couple of years. When we actually make the trip depends on when we can get a reservation at Ariana. It is that good. We live near State and Lemp in Boise and love going there for a special occasion. Ariana does what State and Lemp does (a chef designed tasting menu) but they also do a full menu of a la carte options. It is ambitious and always exquisite. Thank you again for a memorable evening.
Truly excellent food. My personal preferences are not what I’m rating here, the quality of food preparation and ingredients was superb. Certainly as good or better than any restaurant in Bend.
Once the outdoor dining season has passed the noise inside is brutal. Too loud to talk over the 5 top round tables. Better to go late or hope for a corner.
The art needs updating. It is not consistent nor does it match the quality or atmosphere of the restaurant. With the high end art available in Bend there are plenty of options. It also needs to be hung by someone who knows what they’re doing.
Service was excellent. Plenty of attention paid to us but we weren’t bothered. The staff was knowledgeable about everything we asked about too.
Ariana's never disappoints and this time was no exception. We ordered the tasting menu, which is $65 per person. You may think this is a bit expensive, but it is worth every penny. The tasting menu is a small plate sampling of many of the items found on the menu. Great if you cannot make a decision because everything looks so good. We started out with some wonderful oysters on the half shell from Washington. Then a very fine mushroom soup with a grilled scallop in the middle. So good. We had two entree dishes, a swordfish, and a filet mignon. We ended up with a wonderful fruit tart with candied ginger. It was one of the best meals we have had there.
Ariana is an amazing restaurant. We visit Bend every year for the film festival and a mini family reunion and always include a dinner at Ariana. The service is outstanding and the food is absolutely the best. Servers are polite and professional. This is not a low price restaurant but it is worth every penney!
I love the quaintness of the place and the service was impeccable. My food was delicious but my husband and friend who got their signature scallop dish were a bit turned off because they both found sand in their scallops. That is the only reason I gave a 3 star for the food part. A high quality restaurant should know how to clean their seafood it seems. I had the chanterelle risotto which was amazing. Overall I liked it and would go back but my husband said he wouldn't.
