Server and service was terrible. Definitely intentionally made it clear that he did not care what guests wants. Never once asked if we needed anything. Only way to get anything was to stop another employee and ask them to ask him for something.

The restaurant is gorgeous, but the cocktails were too strong, the green goddess salad was very salty, and the short rib didn’t fall apart like you would expect. Our server was friendly but the service overall was a little on the slow side.

Atmosphere is nice. Lighting is the right level, I can see, but not overly bright. The wood tones are warm and cozy. Two person tables aren’t as private and spacious as parties of 4 or more which are ideally situated. Our server Anthony was very personable and attentive. He made it a memorable experience. The bus staff were very good with water, clearing completed courses and were also friendly. Service was excellent! Having said that, the real star of the show is the FOOD! Our food was a 10 out of 10! It’s a hike for us through lots of heavy traffic, but worth the trip!

The food was excellent but the service sucked. It took 20 minutes for anyone to ask us if we wanted anything to drink. It took another 25 minutes for us to be asked what we wanted to eat. Overall I was thoroughly disappointed with the service. For the amount of money we spent on dinner I expected more.

Octopus was excellent, halibut was on the dry side and the couscous with really delicious. Pink cocktail yummy as well as the scotch based one. Seating outside on banquette pillows were extremely soft and seat itself too low, pillows were provided on request to rectify. Only criticism was that two small overhead light fixtures were pointed directly in my eyes - needs revision and review of all lights

My first time eating here, after having gotten a little tour of it before it opened. The ambience is stunning! Being that it's a vegetable forward menu, the foliage decor was fitting and allowed for an immersive experience. The service was A++, as were the cocktails and food. The amuse bouche last night (Sliced tomatoes with a tomato jam and basil salt) would be an amazing addition to the menu as some sort of salad. My ONLY critique is that when we waited at the bar for our table the walk way by the bar has huge potted plants, making for a crowded traffic jam and plants hitting your face as you walked by. Other than that, I will be back!

We had a wonderful experience dining at Ardor. We had a group of 10, so there was a pre-fixed menu (this is mandatory for any groups over 8, so be prepared). It was served family-style and everything was great. The food kept flowing and we got to keep having conversation without worrying about what to order. Would definitely recommend Ardor to large groups!

Excellent overall performance experience. Great service, ambiance and food. My only criticism was that I ordered a shrimp dish and the shrimp was not deveined. That was surprising given the quality of the food.

My wife and I have been coming to Ardor for years. After getting married in a low key civil ceremony, we celebrated that night at Ardor with family and had a very special experience with excellent food and outstanding service. We were so excited to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary at our favorite restaurant in LA, and were terribly disappointed with the experience. Despite putting in the notes on OpenTable that we were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary, the host greeted us with a generic, "Have you dined with us before?" He never bothered to look at the notes saying that it was a special anniversary dinner for us, and that we requested a nice table inside. This messaging wasn't passed on to our waiter either. After ordering a round of drinks, we had to send them back twice because the batched drinks were way too sweet with aded sugars. When the bartender couldn't get the mix right, we gave up on trying. Then, we ordered dinner and asked the waiter to course out the items. He said he would. Instead, the kitchen brought out a dish we didn't order (TWICE), as well as our entree before any of our 1st and 2nd course dishes. When we asked the waiter to send the fish back so it wouldn't be cold and bring out our cold appetizer first, he said the restaurant was understaffed, and had no busers. But, not to worry. He would "take care of us." Usually, that means comping something off the bill (like awful drinks or even an anniversary dessert). Instead, all our food came out at once again so that dishes got cold. Our dessert was billed as gluten free, yet had cookie crumble which made my tongue go numb due to a wheat sensitivity (not allergy). And, we were ushered thru our meal in a little over 1 hour as if dining at a casual restaurant. We couldn't relax or enjoy our meal. The food itself was excellent as usual. But, the experience was lackluster. Had this been our first trip to Ardor, we'd never have come back for our anniversary. We may never return sadly.

Great experience, drinks are one the strongest I’ve had in LA, ambiance is sensual and warm. Service was great. Lamb wasn’t the best, filet mignon was delicious along with their tomato jam tomatoes (yummy)

This was my first time at Ardor and it was absolutely wonderful. Their highly rated Milk Bread and Tempura Onion Rings were worthy of the hype. If your looking to share, I highly recommend the Tomahawk steak as it was cooked to perfection. If you have a canine fur baby awaiting your return, be sure to bring home the bone. We finished the evening with the smores, which were torched tableside. A perfect finish to the evening. I will be returning.
