The servers were well intentioned but WAY out of their element in the fine dining arena. The food was terribly flawed. In brief, the milk bread was good but at the edges had a quality that almost tasted microwaved. The tandoor carrot, which was pitched as being the one dish he brought from his Michelin starred vegan restaurant was delicious EXCEPT for the carrot itself which was totally mediocre/forgettable. In fact if they removed the carrot from the dish I’d have said it was fantastic. The octopus had a very fishy taste to it, which as an avid sushi lover I’ve been trained to steer clear of…. the accompanying elements and the technical cook on the octopus were wonderful. But sadly that didn’t rescue it. The steamed bass was the closest to a great dish… there was nothing technically wrong but it was just kind of underwhelming. The lamb was awful… serving only as a reminder to never order lamb at a restaurant. It was about 30% gristly/chewy fat, 20% undercooked meat, 50% overcooked meat. And the flavor was just ok. The drinks were quite good… especially the color coded yellow and green cocktails. There was no effort to fix any failed dishes, and no gesture to give us a little something in honor of our anniversary. All in all it was a massive flop. Such a shame because it had huge potential. We were already planning a return trip while puzzling out our order. But after that meal it would take a monumental event to get me to remotely consider returning. Honestly even if it was $25 for the total meal I’d have not returned. But it was $300 plus tip for 2 people. At least the conversation was awesome. :)

With covid I really do not want to leave anyone with a bad review but because of the price point and how bad the food was i wanted to warn other off. amazing quality ingredients but just terrible composition of dishes. basically nothing tasted good, but you could tell they are using great ingredients. things are actually cooked properly as well. it’s just when the different components are brought together it tastes terrible. the cocktails are not as bad as the food, but not good either. gorgeous space though.

We love everything about Ardor… we enjoy the warm welcome from the staff. Enjoyed all the dishes. From the milk bread to the tuna tartar and the carrot with hummus now that was amazingly delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

This was an amazing experience. The hotel is beautiful in itself. The restaurant has such a chill yet energetic vibe. It is expensive but worth it because of how beautiful it is.

Start to finish everything was excellent. From the drinks to the dessert, blown away! Our waiter was awesome, attentive, and explained the menu so thoroughly. I don’t remember his name, but he had a French accent and was from Belgium

Terrible service that ruined the experience. They basically ignore you the whole night and don’t respond to table requests unless you are “somebody”. Food was good but extremely overpriced with tiny portions. The tuna tartare was okay, but nothing special. The manager is very rude and doesn’t know the meaning of customer service. Wouldn’t come back here.

The food was good although a little salty and greasy. The salads were good. The service was uneven with big lapses of time between server visits.. The prices are high for lunch but the ambience is nice for special occasions.

Delicious food and GORGEOUS space. For a party hotel, the Ardor is quite mature, well thought out and beautifully executed. They have a good sized menu that includes yummy non-alcoholic cocktails, as well as several dessert options. Start w the “risotto” - it surpassed everyone’s expectations! And the whole grilled fish was also good but the best was my roasted chicken- SO JUICY and flavorful!!! One of the best roasted chicken EVER!
And did I mention the beautiful, lush interior? Service is excellent too. Will definitely be back!

This is my new favorite restaurant! The service was perfect and the food is the best I've had in LA. If you can, get Reily as your server - he makes great recommendations and his timing is perfect. The atmosphere is unique and hip. I highly recommend Ardor and I can't wait to go back!

It was worth trying once at least for the beautiful ambience. The food however was a very mixed bag. Many dishes were far too salty - onion rings, duck, prawns. Overall the veggie starters were the best things we tried. Not convinced of the Gooseberry Pizza dessert that although good was far too sweet and had no flavour of gooseberry.

I will dine here again to give the restaurant another try. The food is fabulous and the wait staff is nice however the service is SLOW. We waited well over an hour for the main course after a few of us received appetizers. Dinner lasted 3.5 hours due to the slow service and the food taking an exceptionally long time. I was very disappointed with our experience unfortunately. If the food wasn’t great, I wouldn’t be back. Hoping next visit will change this review..
