Did not feel welcomed by the staff. Had to argue in order to get our reserved table. Additionally, as a guest of the hotel, I tried to make another reservation for later that day and was told there was nothing they could do. Besides convenience to my room, not much more to compliment.

Great place - management chaotic - 1h45min waiting for main course - left side of plate double salted right side no salt at all - chicken in cold casserole, of course also cold..

Dined the other day at Silverlake Ramen for 10% of the cost much much better - and happier!!!

Food was not up to our expectations. Very small portions and overpriced. Pork belly and black bass were extremely salty. Out of many dishes ordered we liked the octopus the best. Starting Chardonnay price was $96

Lovely, sophisticated atmosphere and relatively quiet. Very comfortable.
Food is unique high end vegetarian and meat combination ---the lamb was outstanding as were any of the starters and vegetable main courses.

1. Its expensive - is the food worth the price? Meh.... Including tip it was $300 for my wife and I. We share a started, had a main course each and shared a desert. We had a glass of wine each and a cocktail. The food was fine, nothing that you could jump up and down about which is a pity as the price point would suggest that it is exceptional and it isn't. My Wife had a shrimp main dish and I had a filet, neither were incredible but certainly not bad. The pork belly starter was good and the milk bar desert was good too. Notable were the service and the ambiance. Our server was attentive, informative and very pleasant. The ambience is cool and quiet, the tables a good size and seating comfortable. Would I go back? Not in a hurry but I would go back. Great for a date night and they will look after you which is always nice.

Drinks took 45 minutes to come out the first time and 30 minutes the second time. Food portions were small. Probably the worst service I've EVER had and it wasn't even that packed. At this price point, everybody should be treated and expect much better.

Great ambience! Service was good. The appetizer was nice. My entrée, a fillet, was very small overcooked and overpriced. Not great. Disappointed with the meal compared to other restaurants. There’s a nightclub just below that started sound check in the middle of my meal at 8:30. I do not wanna eat a meal sitting on a sub woofer.

Would definitely give it a second shot - ambience was great and our water never needed refilling as there was always an attentive wait staff member to help. Only weak spot was the waiter was inattentive.

The girls up front are so sweet and it’s a beautiful restaurant. However, the waiter was so rude we left. Maybe management will get a handle on some of the issues people have already reported. It has potential.

The restaurant is an experience! The food, the service, the atmosphere is great. On the corner of Sunset and Doheny, it is hidden behind tall bushes (so NO street noise) in the Edison Hotel. The cocktails are so unique. The wait staff was so attentive

This restaurant thinks of itself as a French Michelin Starred restaurant!!
The portions are so small I thought the Risotto at $20 was the dressing for the 3 falafels at $16!!! Really a Shame!!!
We ordered the 3 fish entrées Subpar!!! Didn’t taste good really!!
The onion rings at $14? 5 onion rings from the tiniest one on top and they came right before dessert!!
Desserts at $14? We ordered 3 different ones...Good but the tiniest again!!!
Will never go back!
Too expensive for food not that good and the tiniest portions and poor service!!

In LA to see the Ellen Show - stayed at the West Hollywood Edition hotel - where Ardor is located. We had dinner at Ardor 2 out of our 3 night stay at the hotel. We were seated in different areas of the restaurant at each dinner, so were able to experience different servers and the pleasing ambiance each night. My husband and I travel quite often and we both agreed Ardor has to be one of our favorite restaurants in quite a long time! The menu created by Chef Fraser is creative and fresh vegetable forward, using organic ingredients. Just a few of our amazing choices: the Milk Bread (a must!), yellowfin tuna tartare, shredded Brussels sprouts with shaved truffles!, grilled Alaskan crab appetizer, dry aged duck and A5 Japanese Wagyu.
Our servers were very warm and friendly along with their knowledge about the menu.
We will definitely visit Ardor again when visiting California and the West Hollywood Edition hotel!

First time my wife and I walked out of a restaurant ever as the service was so awful. Usually the waitress at any decent restaurant would offer water within first few min of sitting down...nope...after 7min I asked for water. Took about another 20min for our order of coffee to come and then another 10min for the cream which by then the coffee was cold. Our waitress was just sitting in front of the computer the whole time. Was not checking up on us or any of the other guests. Not like the restaurant was busy. The only saving grace was the nice car attendant who comped our parking.

We had made a reservation for 6:15 pm for my birthday, unfortunately we didn’t make it on time and we lost the reservation. The hostess told us we could still have dinner at the bar (which we did) I noticed that there were 6 tables for a party of two that sat empty the entire time we were there! This made me so upset because eating at the bar was not the best choice, it was uncomfortable! I really don’t understand what these people are thinking, we saw people wanting to use the bar but because everyone there was eating at the bar, left! While those 6 tables sat empty! By the time we finished our meal only 2 of those tables got occupied, but this was by the time we had finished our meal!! I mean wow!! I doubt I’ll ever come back here again, it was not a fun experience eating at the bar while watching 6 empty tables. I get that they have to have those seats ready for reservations but they literally sat empty, they need to re-strategize this because it was very ridiculous to me. The food was decent! Nothing spectacular.

The restaurant is fairly new and they still need to tweak some things. Food was very average and pricey. Service was very very slow so expect to wait A LOT. And revise your check before signing. We got charged someone else’s tab. Good thing I caught on to it. Then they took so long to fix Our check that we were the last table in the restaurant. We wanted to go out after dinner but this dinner experience was a total buzz kill.

The venue is gorgeous no doubt! Ambiance and drinks are nice. But save yourself the dinner money and stick to the drinks at the bar... the sour-cream covered Wagyu steak tartare was a travesty!

Service was fantastic, helpful caring staff. Food was ok, there was a black sea salt that was on several dishes making them all taste the same. Hoping this restaurant can be in line with others on sunset with a classic menu of great dishes, they are trying too hard and its not paying off, especially with so many options close by. They have the ambiance and the staff, hoping the food comes together also.
