The whole experience was enjoyable...food, service and ambience. Large table of 12 - 15 people celebrating near us was somewhat noisy, but it was festive. Would recommend and return. Ron
This was probably one of the best restaurants! Food was innovative and exceptional, chef came out to greet us and explain each dish, staff was outstanding as well. There were 4 of us each had different appetizers, entrees and dessert and we are every bite. Run don’t walk to the lovely restaurant in a lovely renovated cottage.
I loved the mushroom soup— perfection would have been less salt. You can always add salt at the table but you cannot take it away.
Crabmeat salad was good — prefer room temp tomatoes. I always order dressing in side.
The cheese plate was generous and a bargain with good selection. I’d prefer olives to the spicy green beans.
This is becoming one of my go-to spots
A really wonderful dining experience. Appetizer, salad, main course and dessert- all exceeded expectations.
Our waiter was most attentive, and we enjoyed our delicious dinners.
Our party visited Apolline to meet with the general manager and plan an upcoming special event. We had an opportunity to try four "happy hour value" wines, four appetizers, three entrees, and three desserts. All I can say is WOW! The food, without exception, was amazing. Special standouts were the chargrilled oysters, shrimp and grits, gulf fish with pecan butter and grits, and bread pudding. The wines were also exceptional, under the radar finds that paired beautifully with our food but also could be enjoyed on their own. The service was friendly but never pushy, hitting just the right note. All in all, it was a business meeting that morphed into a relaxed, delicious dinner. We are thrilled we have chosen Apolline to host our special event.
Wonderful restaurant for a romantic evening! Outstanding service, great recommendations from our server, delicious food!
Always good. Our server Nick is terrific and makes us feel welcomed. Food delish. I seem to eat their fish since it’s always fresh. Best bread pudding in town.
Lovely ambience and a much better experience than my last visit. Service was greatly improved— although not perfect because he had many other diners to serve.
I love the cozy bench against the wall by the window where you can look out at the entire dining room and admire the beauty. (Negative is the horrible eyesore across Magazine. Perhaps they can enlist someone to improve?)
Food was delightful. Wedge salad ( not iceberg but Boston ) with lots of bleu, sprinkles of fresh corn, hard boiled egg, cherry tomatoes. I followed this with flounder on a bed of asparagus , sauce on side. I would definitely reorder both of these.
Chef came out- always a nice touch- and shook hands and gave hugs.
We’ve been meaning to go to Apolline since we moved into the neighborhood last year and finally made it! Wish we had gone earlier as we loved it. Good food. Nice space. And friendly service.
Great meal! Buttermilk fried quail breast app was excellent as was the fish special.
Food was terrific but noise level grew bothersome, especially with party of 16. They need a private room once it gets above 8 or so.
Food and service were spot on. The buttermilk encrusted fried quail appetizer was delicious - the bed of greens the quail was on were cooked to perfection. When you make your resy ask to sit with Nick - a server with great attention to detail and his knowledge of the menu will only enhance your experience.
Great craft cocktails, food was delicious!
We loved our meal and dining experience. Wish that Apolline was in our town as it is a meal we will truly miss after leaving NOLA. Had the Eggs Apolline and unlimited mimosas and bloody Mary’s. Everything was delicious. Our waitress, Jess, was friendly and fun. The establishment played Halloween inspired music and everyone wore a costume. Seriously wish this restaurant wasn’t so far away from home. With hold great memories of a Halloween brunch for a lifetime.
We went to Apolline for their amazing brunch, the food was delish, the bottomless mimosas were always full, and we even got some to go. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Roses on every table, exposed brick walls, and natural lighting. A whole aesthetic. Our server, Blaine was the best! He was super attentive and gave the best recommendations. Best brunch in NOLA and we’re definitely making it our frequent brunch spot!
The experience was amazing! Service was prompt and polite.. perfect timing on courses. The oysters are to die for and so is the chicken poutine! Thank you!!
Flavor was excellent. Great ambience. But it was like the food had been way over salted. It was almost like there was an accident or something. 2/5. With so many great restaurants around, I'll go elsewhere for the price next time. As a NOLA local, this is the first review I've written. Wife and I we're fairly disappointed. The food tasted good, but was insanely salty. And I have a VERY high salt tolerance.. If you're dead set on this place, I'd recommend asking for less Sodium.
Thanks for reading :)
Lamb shank was awesome!!!!
Sad we didn’t get to see Frank. Thanks for an amazing evening as always!
Outstanding food. Best bread pudding we've ever eaten!
It’s an attractive restaurant ( despite some of the overhead lighting being too bright).
Our server was friendly and perky but disorganized.
We ordered chargrilled oysters and they were cold on the bottom! Unacceptable. They reheated the original which were fine. Salad was ok, as was flounder. Nothing remarkable but worth a revisit after they clean the bathroom floor which was definitely a deterrent to eating there.
Prices were reasonable
Absolutely wonderful! Every meal I have had here has been memorable. Delicious, fresh, ingredients with creative flair! Each time I feel as if I have had the best meal of my life...only to be pleasantly surprised the next time I eat there and somehow top that last meal! Incredible! The service is great, lovely atmosphere.
Fantastic food and service. Amazing shrimp and grits, best bread pudding in the city.
Our first experience with this restaurant was awesome. Our waiter Jess was attentive and offered suggestions that suited our tastes. The food was phenomenal, fried quail, short ribs and drum. They easily accommodated my gluten free needs. Cocktails were tasty and the wine choice was perfect. Adding this one to our list of Nola favs!
Was one of the better dining experience my wife and I have had in a while. Everything from the food, to the service, to cocktails was amazing.
I normally don’t take the time to write a review, but for Apolline, I will. My wife and I went on a dinner date and everything from A to Z was phenomenal. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the neighborhood and the service were all top-notch. I wish I remembered the name of our server (red hair and beard). He was outstanding and honestly one of the best, if not the best server that has ever waited on me. I eat at a lot of great places in Nola, but this was one of the most memorable. Next time I go, it will be for brunch - I hear their brunch game is on point.
For dinner we ate the braised chicken poutine, chargrilled oysters, fried quail breast, pan roasted gulf fish and the bread pudding. Highly recommend!
There were not many in the restaurant and service was unattentive. Food was excellent and place is very nice.
Wonderful experience!!! My girlfriend and I loved your restaurant!!! Everything was wonderful! The food and drinks were delicious, and the ambience was relaxing and amazing! It was an awesome experience, and we will be back!!!
Our new favorite restaurant! The local flavors were delicious.
Amazing . We are thrilled every time we go Apolline
Lovely restaurant in old home. Not too many tables so room was quiet. Cocktails were great, as was our meal. Waitress was knowledgeable and did a good job of being attentive but not overly so. This was our first visit; it’s a bit hidden from the street and signage is not large so we had never noticed it. Definitely will return and will recommend.
Highlights: Mussels appetizer, gazpacho, duck succotash, fish of the day.
Excellent food & service. The jambalaya dumplings were great! Will definitely be back
Visiting New Orleans to see family- decided to go uptown and try something new- lovely top notch experience.
Service excellent perfect seeing size
The food was impeccable!! Service was excellent! My server suggested the flounder and it did not disappoint! The cocktails were also AMAZING!! We will definitely be back!
Tried the coolinary experience and loved it! The salad was fresh and delicious. The smoked duck was just perfect and her risotto was amazing!
Being a local we have our favorite restaurants - for me Apolline's is one of them - The food is amazing - always - and our server Nick is always warm and welcoming - anticipating our needs without being too pushy - really a pleasure - and then the food - wow - its pretty darn good - I love the Drum fish and the way they prepare it is delicious - we had a salad with beautiful heirloom tomatoes and cheese which tasted right out of the garden - and then the Bread Pudding - wow - memorable - easy street parking and a comfortable and pretty restaurant - highly recommend -
Delicious food and excellent service. Didn’t rush us. Will definitely go back.
