We had dinner on the patio and it was perfect. Our server, Nick, was so pleasant. We really enjoyed his service and recommendations. I believe this food has to be some of the best I’ve had in New Orleans... the crab and corn bisque in particular. We didn’t leave room for dessert, but will be back for the apparently famous bread pudding soon!
Was very excited to try this place. Unfortunately I was very disappointed.
Waited an hour for our food. Our order was very simple too! This is what we ordered:
Thick bacon with cinnamon - it was delicious, but we waited 30min for it.
Two orders of scrambled eggs with crispy bacon - eggs dry and wilted bacon which finally came out after an hour of being seated. Not once did the waiter say anything about the delay.
Eggs Benedict: no words to describe the dried egg.
Biscuits with jam: hard as a rock, tho jam was delicious. $80 for 3ppl.
I hadn’t been to Apolline in a few years and now I regret it. The food was excellent and the ambience of the restaurant was very calming. All safety protocols were in place and our party felt very safe and comfortable. I came with my parents and daughter and we ordered a good variety of choices from the Brunch Menu. Everything we got was absolutely delicious. I could eat the Praline Bacon all day. The Corn&Crab Bisque was especially good. The service was spot on. A perfect luncheon.
The cheeseboard was one of the best I’ve had in New Orleans All of the other dishes, including the Corn Maque Choux on the side, were delicious. Lydia was an exceptional server.
Aside from the stupidity of having to wear masks to walk 10 feet here or there, everything was fantastic. Couldn't more highly recommend.
Food was not as expected. I had the gulf fish and it was dry/overcooked. My daughter had the oysters also overcooked and two were even burned.
Service was excellent! And the restaurant is very cute.
The food was good; drinks from the bar left a lot to be desired. My Old Fashion was more like a whiskey sour. Lemon Drop martini was very small and cost $12. for house vodka.
Noise level was way too high. Very, very noisy and was hard to hold a conversation at a table for 2 (wish we would have sat outside). Service was impeccable (Alex was our server).
Great little restaurant with wonderful service. I am a local and this place is our go to every month. Fish is always fresher and prepared well. Overall a gem
Great atmosphere, great wine, outstanding food!
Dinner with family to celebrate the small wins. Great food, atmosphere and service. Highly recommend
Lovely evening experience with delicious food.
Great spot for brunch! The food was wonderful, and service was great. We had the chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and the Apolline Eggs! So good and would recommend. The drinks were also fresh and tasted excellent.
The restaurant was super clean and I can’t wait to visit again.
First time there. I’m a local. Everything was great. Generous size for the cocktails. Large portions. Fancy enough to feel special, but casual enough to enjoy it and relax.
Very tasty food, the specials were interesting and delicious!
One of the BEST restaurants in New Orleans. Food was out of this world and the service was excellent. Highly recommended!
I love the root vegetable salad. Unfortunately, the carrots were very hard. Salmon is always great— everything was perfect but the asparagus. This restaurant is very receptive to comments so I know they’ll pay attention.
It was a busy Friday night so I shouldn’t expect perfection.
Service was impeccable. Atmosphere is great.
Chicken poutine excellent, cold smoked pork excellent, lamb excellent, side of corn excellent, lemon tart excellent! Wine and drinks amazing too!
I have some unusual food sensitivities and they were very accommodating.
Brunch was good. Atmosphere was good. All in all a good experience and would go back
Our waiter was great at suggestions.
Fantastic. Second wall to wall great meal we have had at Apolline. Lamb Shank was tremendous, Gulf Fish was terrific, buttermilk fried Quail breasts stole the show. Amazing again!
Lovely place with amazing food and great service!!
Great ambiance and perfect experience
Great service.... fabulous food. The oysters are especially tasty, but the soup and fish were great, too. My husband loved the chicken debris poutine also. I will definitely come back and bring out of town guests. Our waiter was warm and friendly but unobtrusive. (We were with friends we don’t see often so we were exceptionally talkative. ) She refilled glasses, brought us everything we needed without our having to ask for it!
Wonderful service and excellent food. Great ambiance.
We have become quite accustomed to Apoline being a great experience, so now we know to expect a very nice evening in all aspects. Keep up the good work !
Hate to write bad reviews but....my husband and I went today for a Good Friday evening dinner. Arrived 15 mins early ( reservation was at 5:30) but from the outside it looked like they were closed. So called to make sure they were open since it was a holiday. The girl got so annoyed by my phone call that we almost didn't go inside. But decided to go in anyways. From the time we walked in , the attitude of every staff member was unbelievable. They seemed like we were an inconvenience. Side note- since our reservation was so early, we were the only ones there. Our waitress kept disappearing on us. When we asked for help, again, the 2 staff members got annoyed. We ordered 2 apps:
JAMBALAYA DUMPLINGS and BUTTERMILK FRIED QUAIL BREASTS. I'm a foodie so I'm a huge believer that Apps are the main drivers that will urge the customer to either continue to eat or be a complete turn off for the rest of the menu. We were so disappointed with the apps , we decided not to order the main dish. With the poor/unfriendly service then the disappointing apps, we decided to ask for our check. As we were leaving, the hostess/staff was at the door filling out some paperwork and didn't even acknowledge our exit. Very disappointed with our experience and hope this was just an off evening for all staff members!
They set my table for 1:45pm and they closed everything at 2:00pm!! Needless to say I couldn’t even order what I wanted and everything was rushed...
After reading reviews on Apolline, I was expecting an exceptional experience. However, the service was not what was expected. We were not greeted in a very welcoming way because we had less people than the reservation was for (because people canceled at the last minute). Then our server was not very friendly either is if it were a burden to be there. The food was decent, but for the price, vs the portion and atmosphere, their are other much better nearby places to dine.
I’ll start by saying Apolline is a great restaurant. Service was great as usual. Entrees were great as usual. Wine very nice. I had the pork chop, and I was happily gnawing on the bone by the end. The charbroiled oysters were also phenomenal. That being said, the Jambalaya Dumplings were very disappointing. All at the table agreed they were surprising contrast to the high quality of the rest of the food. Smallish portions and higher prices are the other reason this restaurant gets 4 stars. I’ll still go again.
Nice restaurant with price fix for $35 for lent. Appetizer and entree plus desert. Corn maque was delicious. Pretty good wine list. Fun bday celebrating here.
Our server, Adam was welcoming, professional and very knowledgeable of the menu and wine selection. The bartender, Lisa has a great pallet, her drinks where fantastic. Apolline has taken covid seriously, disinfecting, being masked and spacing tables accordingly, my wife and I felt comfortable knowing they are doing their part. Chef Billy has seriously elevated the menu. We had a hard time choosing because everything sounded delicious. Fish, lamb, chop, scallops. Something for everyone. My wife was happy. Great job to the Apolline team. We will be back.
Great neighborhood spot in Nola. Loved the Shrimp & grits!
Excellent restaurant. The Special Menu for Lent was spectacular. Our waiter was very nice and took care of everything to the Nth degree. Highly recommended!
Shout to Lydia, our waiter! She is outstanding. Super friendly, fun spirit, and made our first experience a great one. She suggested the quail bites and jambalaya dumplings and they were delicious! I ordered the gulf fish entree and my husband ordered the lamb shank. He asked for a sauce to go over the lamb and Lydia brought the perfect sauce to blend with the lamb. It was amazing! Nice vibe, great music, chill and romantic. It's was a great choice for a date night. Highly recommend.
Awesome servers. A little congested seating but small footprint. Food came out quickly and was wonderful. We shared grilled oysters and Benedict style eggs
Food was okay. Not worth the price. Staff was great!
Finally getting out now that vaccinations are becoming more common. I almost forgot just how wonderful the experience of dining out can be. The food and service were outstanding. We had to wait on the white wine to get cold (would rather not had the suggested bottle if we can't drink it until halfway through the meal), but everything else was great.
I love this restaurant. The outdoor dining area is charming and the food is wonderful. We ordered from the fixed price Lenten menu and every bite was delicious, though more than I could eat (my fiance was happy to finish my servings). I had the crab cake, fried soft shell crab, and a rich chocolate dessert. Their wine list is really good, with bottles at every price point. The service is always very professional and friendly, without being intrusive. We truly appreciate this neighborhood gem.
Great food and the mimosa keep coming highly recommend
