The food is preciously small. If you ask to sit outside it won’t be in the cute old garden but a “newly renovated” parking lot that lacks all the charm of the original garden. Stingy drinks, uninspired food, ugh what happened to this place. It was so good! RIP AOC.
Food was Fantastic!! Server was awesome! Overall great experience!!
Great dining experience
Both the waitress and the wait staff were excellent and the setting was terrific, along with each dish we tried.
The food was better than average, especially the dessert platter, but the dishes are super small and hard to share. They say each dish is meant for 3 people, yet dishes come with one or two slices of bread. Wine is in 6 and 12 ounce portions per glass. I ordered a 12 oz glass that cost $30
and looked like a 6 oz pour. There are two patios, and one is much nicer. We were relegated to the lesser one.
Great food, cocktails, and wine list, and excellent service as well. We took my parents here when they were visiting and had an outstanding meal. It was very nice sitting out on the patio.
I always LOVE having dinner at AOC. The bacon-wrapped dates remain the most delicious menu item, and that is a very high bar to be sure. This was a perfect place to take my parents; the vibe was quiet enough for them but still lively enough to be a fun evening. Service is impeccable. Not a single piece of food we didn't enjoy.
Consistency is key for this restaurant- menu, portion size, and flavor still checking all the boxes. Efforts made to make added outdoor space pleasant showed.
Loove the food here ! I am def coming back! Servers are helpful, ambiance is cool, pricing is reasonable for the quality of the food. Highly recommended!!
I arrived late to the reservation but they were still able to seat me graciously. The staff is very friendly and even though we were the last party to leave the restaurant we felt like we weren’t rushed at all. I like that the space is cozy yet the tables are far enough apart and we don’t feel like it’s crowded. The ambience is beautiful but the food is even better. I really love the bacon wrapped dates what I always get and they have a fabulous brunch menu I got French toast with berries and fruit along with the charcuterie board and fresh squeezed orange juice which wasn’t on the menu but they made it happen.
Enjoyed brunch in the courtyard with my family. Everything was good.
Outstanding in every way
i was excited to eat at aoc again but this time for the first time the food was not up to the usual standards not sure if there are new chefs in the kitchen ?
Love the outdoor patio. Great ambiance and excellent service
AOC is always enjoyable. We felt the salads (we tried all three)could have used more focus: riper fruit, more flavor.
charming patio, nicely spaced tables. Delicious food, great service. Definitely a repeat visit!
My favorite place for incredible food, beautiful atmosphere and warm genuine service!
The food was extraordinary, the atmosphere lovely, and our waiter was kind and incredibly helpful.
We went for a a celebratory lunch. The food, cocktail, mocktail and iced lattes were all excellent. Everyone loved their choices—Dungeness crab omelet, wagyu beef sandwich with amazing fries, Moroccan salad. Blueberry toast with lemon butter and a small dish of memorable bacon wrapped dates as starters were good. Amazing light as a feather but intense lemon soufflé with blueberries for dessert. The only disappointment was that I had really wanted the courtyard off the main dining room and we were put outside on the former parking area that is now a patio (I didn’t know about that and would have specified the original courtyard). It is too hot out there but at least I got them to give us a shadier table. So that gesture saved the day and everything else was top notch as usual. This is a dependably excellent place.
Slow service and food was blah.
Perfect for romantic dinner, the place is beautiful. The polenta and the fried chicken were both great
The food was excellent. Very friendly staff and great service.
wonderful experience. Food, service, ambiance all terrific.
This is a sharing menu, and it is wise to take guidance from the knowledgeable staff in ordering!
The ambiance and service were nice. The food was good, but not as good as I expected
The server was extremely rude, she declined to serve us Alcohol after our initial order.
Requested brick patio for my husband’s birthday. Miscommunication as they have two brick patios. I should have requested “East patio” apparently. It was empty when we arrived but they insisted it was booked and put us in the west facing patio (parking lot updated for dining during pandemic). The setting was nice but the table they saved for our reservation was under a speaker with music that was louder than comfortable. We ate and didn’t linger. Not the best birthday dinner experience. We’re in our 60s. Felt like we were maybe too old for special attention of young front desk staff.
AOC never disappoints. Service top notch. Food delicious and innovative. Always a treat to spend the evening there.
They charged us a health service fee if 5% which we asked to have removed because we were not pre-informed about the conditions. We asked for a bottle Peligrino and we serve d a bottle of house soda water and charged $8 which we forgot to contest. The waiter came by during the appetizers to check in us but then was not seen again till the bill came. The runners brought the food which was overpriced for the size of the portions compared to other “sharing” restaurants and worse the staff could not tell us which cheese was which on the cheese board we ordered snd the $10 fee for parking in West Hollywood was insulting. If we had great service and better value for the money ($8.00 for house water) and were explained how the service charges were applied to a bill for four of $280 it could have been a better experience. They need to take their staff to waiter training. We just felt we were ripped off wrt service, high prices for everything including water and bread (we were 4, and when we ordered the cheese plate I made a point of telling our waiter to be sure there were enough slices of bread for each of us. Of course we got 3 pieces and had to ask for more. They brought another 3 pieces and charged us $3.00 for three half slices of bread. This is not the AOC of yore that I remember.
We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time but waited about 25 minutes until the waitress led us to a table. The food is great, not exceptional but worth the price.
Never disappointed at AOC! Food and service are always excellent.
This is the second (and last) time I will dine at AOC. I loved Lucques and use the Sunday Supper cookbook all the time so I had high hopes for AOC. Other than the courtyard, which is beautiful, it is lacking in every way. Our server seemed put out the entire night, our food was mediocre (and one fish dish was so undercooked it was chewy and required re-fire). It was my husband’s birthday, but they did nothing to acknowledge it. The wine was exceedingly overpriced. If I’m ordering a $75 bottle, it should be good not just ok. Fool me twice. I won’t get fooled again.
Incredible food, wonderful wine list and a great vibe.
It was my first time at AOC. The dishes were excellent. I was hoping for better accommodations than the parking lot, but even the parking lot was ok. I will go back and I will ask for a different table assignment !!!
First big catch up post pandemic, everything was great as always, the outdoor dining space felt like it had always been there.
AOC consistently provides an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant is at the top of my list for food, service, ambiance, value and managerial support.
And thank you for your attention to safety needs.
We were a party of 8. It was difficult to get a reservation so we booked 5 pm... the only time they had available that WEEK! It was worth going early. We sat in their original outdoor patio by the fireplace. Most of the tables around us were filled but the noise level was minimal. As always, the food was fantastic and the service was great. Take note, the patio they set up in their parking lot was completely packed.
Fantastic evening with great food & service!
One of the best meals I’ve had in years. Truly wonderful!
wonderful ambiance, great food, excellent service...perfect evening!
Over priced for small tapas dishes. Very nice ambiance. Quaint and charming.
