The service here was absolutely Horrible. They had no hostess on staff, we had to go looking for someone to assist. We found a young lady at the front desk that told us to wait near the Bar area to be seated...No one showed up? we actually went down to seat ourselves near the water way, but the cushions were so NASTY!!!!!!. We decided to just leave and find a better Restaurant. Very Poor Covid-19 Sanitation, Never Again
Sincerely, Marriott sick to the Hotel Business
Food was amazing! You will not regret ordering the rolls as an appetizer! They were to die for!
It was valentines day and my wife and I were staying at the Marriot Water Street in Tampa. I made reservations asking for a secluded romantic table and they accommodated my request. After being seated, we waited for a bit before being greeted by our server who asked if he could bring water for us, also was very easy to perceive that he was busy beyond his control. He was basically an order taker, when I was expecting someone to suggest and explain popular items. After the greet, the server wasn't lacking but could have been more composed especially in that setting. The food was great. Fresh oysters, the NY Strip and the scallops is what we had. I give it 5 stars but this restaurant has alot of potential for improvement on the front of the house.
The atmosphere was great, good live music and good food
Great everything. I plan on going back very soon.
They were totally unprepared,
Tried to put us in the lobby of the hotel.
It rained earlier in the day and they were not ready.
I believe they were short staffed.
Not the experience we hoped for by far.
The Valentine’s deal was not worth it. $300 for two ppl in a guaranteed cabana seating. With a predetermined menu.
1. Scallops was on the menu- my fiancé is allergic. They offered no replacement. (To add if I’d known when I made the reservation that scallops would be on the menu or even potentially I wouldn’t have reserved the predetermined menu. The person on the phone wasn’t able to tell me the menu when I reserved)
2. Our food was cold. Sent it back. Then the filet was over cooked.
3. It truly wasn’t enough for for 2 people especially when one couldn’t eat the scallops.
4. Our reservation was at 6. We were seated at 6:30. Granted it had just rained so I’m guessing they had to dry it out. No big deal.
5. We opted out of the champagne because we were both just ready to go. So we ended up only paying $150 for our meal. Still not worth it. We ordered room service as soon as we got back to our room. We were still very hungry.
6. Nice location. Great ambiance. I may return for drinks one day but I’ll never book the vday dinner again.
7. The waitress and staff were great!
8. For what would have been $300 at minimum I’d expect hot food.
We had reservations and waited only a few minutes once we checked in at the counter. Our server was attentive from start to the end. The food was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed the live music as well. Overall, our Valentine’s dinner was fantastic!
Our server was horrible. She took about 15 minutes to come to the table initially. Then she kept forgetting what we asked for. It took her awhile to bring water and she seemed like she was out of it. Had no recommendations on what to order. The place is nice. Food was nice. Just the waitress sucked!
Great seafood. Great location. The live music was good.
Our second trip to A&B. The atmosphere is great, overlooking beautiful Tampa Bay waters and the yachts docked 12 feet away. Service was excellent and so was the food. The wild mushroom flatbread was the best flatbread I've ever had and the Pappardelle was wonderful and loaded with lobster & shrimp and the snapper dish was delicious as well. Will keep A&B in the rotation.
This was a must do review. John and Amid the manager did everything in there power to give me the best dining experience by far in Tampa. We were seated in the cabana it was my dads birthday not the best place for dinner, but I let John know how important it was for me to be better accommodated. It was Saturday night place Jam Pack but he got me the perfect table with the perfect view. The food was amazing. The drinks were fabulous. John and Amir (manager) went above and beyond I will be back with my entire family again. Thank you guys for making my dads birthday Beyond special!
Great customer service, wonderful food. Prices a little high, but expected for the area. Would definitely recommend for breakfast or brunch.
Problem 1: Had reservation in Open table but the only table was one with a giant beam blocking the tv. All other tables were taken by people watching a very big football game.
problem 2: Sat at the bar with no heaters at our end which our backs to the water. The people along both sides of side the bar had heaters but the man explained some of their towers had been ruined by a windstorm and they hadn’t replaced them. This is the Marriott.
Problem 3: they seated us at the bar with 6 foot social distance from the other couple so that was great! However several different people came up from the sidewalk to put in takeout orders they did not have a take-out order area away from where we were sitting so they came to us and went in the space that supposed to be spatial distancing and stood there not only to order their food but wait for their food! The entire front of the bar under the roof was empty. The bar needs to have a formal “ take-out sign/order food here” sign and have it away from the patrons that are trying to eat their dinner six feet apart from strangers.
Celebrated my sister’s birthday at the Anchor and Brine. I loved the feel of this place, very beautiful and on the water. Service was excellent and the server made my sister feel extra special acknowledging her birthday several times. The food presentation was very nice and delicious. We will definitely go back.
Great service, excellent food, and a phenomenal view. It’s close to several other attractions that are within walking distance.
Drinks here are very tiny. Hard to say if it even was 2 oz of Pinot Noir for $14. The Hemingway Daiquiri was about 2 oz and tasted awful. To quote my husband, "probably the worst drink I have had anywhere." He sent it back after tasting it & ordered a Chocolate Martini for $13 which was nothing special. The Octopus Small Plate although pricey at $18.00 but was tasteful. The $17.00 Shrimp Cocktail had 5 Jumbo Shrimp with a very tasty Cocktail Sauce. We were staying at the hotel for our 49th Wedding Anniversary so it was convenient. We would not venture back as there are so many other places with fabulous drinks in Tampa.
Poor communication regarding seating (specifically chose this restaurant for outdoor seating and was never notified they wouldn’t be offering outdoor seating for an 11:30AM reservation. They had ample time to call reservations before arrival)
Service was very slow
Food was good, but arrived cold
Service was horrible, no waiter or waitress for the majority of visit and our food came out cold, could not get water, refills, condiments etc....waited twenty minutes just for hot tea and coffee, waited another 20 to order, waited another 30 for cold food. We have had this happen the last 3 times we have come here we have officially given up on this place. We live here and used to come to this bar all of the time before they renovated; ever since the reopening it has changed for the worst. I wish it was never changed.
Our service was great. It’s was a 3:30 outside reservation, we didn’t realize it being Saturday it was a brunch menu. We asked Paulina our server if we could order the grilled octopus off the dinner menu that started at 4pm. She checked with the chef and they said it would be fine. Very accommodating and the server went above and Beyond. Only a few servers were staffed so if you are looking for quick pace this may not be your spot but in my opinion it’s worth the wait food and service wise! Enjoy!
Went there for a Saturday brunch. Nothing remarkable about the meal. It was just ok. Atmosphere was just ok and service was just ok.
Service was awful. Order were incorrect, and the food took well over an hour to arrive. The waitress did not even attempt to make anything better and would just be standing around when nothing was on our table. It even took 25 minutes after we asked for our checks. She blamed her poor service on the kitchen and a lot of room service orders. She did nothing to accommodate for the awful service.
Great atmosphere. Great location. Great open air place.
Happy new year! We had a wonderful time enjoying the fireworks in the water.
El lugar es muy bonito, pero la comida no es agradable.
Lo bien antes de vokver a ir.
Safe Great outdoor seating. Heaters. More than enough distance. Came to support Chef Nathan. Local Northeast High Culinary graduate under Chef Curtis Serata. Nathan has already mentored with Chef Morimoto and Chef Hung Huynh Top Chef 3rd season winner.
Very proud of local Standout.
Fantastic food with grilled Octopus, Grouper and grass fed NY Strip ox tails.
Also had fantastic appetizers across at JW Marriotts with Head Chef Luke Clements another local Northeast high Culinary graduate standout.
Met friend of 38 years with spouses for dinner. Decided it was too windy which made it colder. Seated indoors instead. Ordered food, and drinks. I expected the food to be amazing. There was grand about the oysters. My husbands burger was over salted, and we weren’t thrilled with the chips. I don’t know........maybe it’s just me, but I expected more in ambiance and cooking technique.
Great view. Comfortable space.
Our service was slow and the waitress wasn't all that friendly. But love the waterside location and the food was delicious!
I just stoped in for the truffle fries and a glass of wine but the view was AMAZING!
The ambiance is wonderful; beautiful restaurant outside on the water. The bar was backed up the whole evening so the drink service was slow at our table. But the food was very good and the staff were all very friendly.
Really really awfully slow service. Waiter was nice but we waited an hour and a half for our meal and 20 minutes before we got drinks. They weren’t busy, maybe understaffed? Either way not worth the price or food for slow service.
We had such a relaxing and enjoyable Sunday morning bruch with friends. Love the ambience of the outdoor dining, the food and drinks were amazing and our server Mariah was outstanding. Everyone was adhering to covid guidelines to include masks, gloves, cleaning procedures and use of disposable menus. We felt really comfortable dining here.
Waited 15 min to get coffee. We had 3 different servers and could not do their job properly.
One of my top choices in Tampa Bay! I went there with my husband for lunch and I was surprised with the quality and service. I ordered a salad bowl and it was the best salad I've ever had. I will absolutely return to try other dishes from the menu.
