Anchor and Brine - Tampa Marriott Water Street
Service/Kitchen is extremely slooooow. Don't go if you're in a time crunch or are starving. Food was overall good. Place is beautiful and on the water. It does get hot though & they don't have anything for that besides small fans that don't do much.
Reserved table not ready and was sat at an somewhat remote table. Space heater not working initially but did get fixed. Server was good. Food quality was poor.
Entertained friends from Ireland that loved the setting and food!
The food was good and moderately priced, for a hotel restaurant. However, the service was deplorable. We had reservations and were seated right away. The server took drink orders, but returned 15 - 20 minutes later to tell us that one of the wines we ordered was not in stock. She did bring the other drinks, though. We ordered food and a different wine, but by the time the food arrived, another 20 minutes later, the wine that was reordered still had not arrived. One of the dishes ordered did not arrive until, near the end of our meal, we asked where it was. No apology was offered, but the food came 10 min later. There appeared to be two or three servers for the entire restaurant; way understaffed. The service was unattentive and rushed.
Great to sit outside and have dinner. Went before we walked to hockey game. Very relaxing with good food and drink.
Our table was in the hotel lobby. Disappointing.
Beautiful location and waterfront view. The Florida snapper was outstanding.
This place is amazing! Food was very delicious, we both agreed one of the best meals in Tampa we’ve experienced in a long time. The atmosphere is beautiful outdoor waterfront vibes. Worth it and my new favorite local place to dine.
Absolutely top notch service and atmosphere. The riverfront dining is unbeatable in Tampa Bay. We came for brunch and tried several items and loved them all. Look forward to coming back for dinner.
The food was not bad by any means, but it was also not impressive for a $400 bill. There was not an item ordered that stuck out as something we would reorder. It was a beautiful, brisk night out so we elected to dine outside as they had warm fire/lanterns outside that were a nice touch and appeared to offer warmth to the guest who were dining outside. Unfortunately, we were sat at a table that did not have a lantern. We noticed that there was an unoccupied lantern positioned next to a nearby table that was not in use by guest at any point during our dinner; approximately 8-10 feet from our table. When we asked our server, Joe for a lantern to be moved just a little closer to our table, so that we could be comfortable during our dinner, we were denied . Joe did involve his Manager as he appeared to feel bad that we were chilly and that he did not have the authority to wheel the lantern closer to our table. Joe's Manager came over to our table and stated that she would not move the lantern closer to our table; she then turned the unoccupied lantern off. Our request required moving the lantern (that is on wheels) approximately, 8-10 feet so that our table of 4 could be warm and comfortable during our $400 dinner. We felt that we were provided poor customer service and that this restaurant lacks in the understanding of how important it is to extend appropriate hospitality to its guest. There are many restaurant choices in this area and we will not be patronizing this one again due to our overall experience.
Great views and food. Nice place!
The wine list is extensive and great! The food options were limited and I felt that the menu overall was small. The food that we did order however was good we felt it was overpriced for the items we ordered. I would tend to try another establishment prior to coming back.
Had lunch out on the patio - drinks were good. Food was mediocre honestly and very expensive.
Service was mediocre. Ambiance & entertainment was very good. Food was decent.
This restaurant revamped their entire menu. The cuisine is versatile and delish!!!! The cauliflower dish is so yummy and the calamari with the roasted jalapeños. I mean, I’m so happy they have such yum food. Everytime I think of good food to eat, I think of Anchor & Brine.
They also accommodated us for our birthday. They gave us an ideal table outside and the service was superb, welcoming and friendly. I had roses in my cocktail. So “Royal”. It my bday on New Years and my sons bday Jan 3. They really made it a great experience.
Thank you to all of the team who made us feel so welcome!
Excellent location, view, ambiance, and service. For a great view of the water, sit in one of the booths.
The food was below expectation. Grouper sandwish was way too dry and pancakes were definitely not worth the money.
Very disappointing. We were here for NYE and because it was cold requested inside seating which ended up in a booth by the escalator & bathrooms (what ambience!). Service was neglectful and food just ok (don't order the cavatappi unless you like green soup. Typical hotel restaurant. Not good.
Service is horrendous. Unbelievably bad wait staff, which is unfortunate, because the food is good.
Ambiance great..service terrible..food over priced and average.
Very nice location and views on the water. Service poor, we had 3 meals all were sub par.
Service was come and go. Felt rushed.
Food took a while. I got the lamb shank, my first go the steak. Food was warm when arrived.
Water was not refilled.
Reserved an outdoor table. We were put behind a pole. When we saw better locations we were told they were reserved even though bo one sat at these tables during our entire meal. Entrees wew serve before soup and coffee never came.
Food was not good at all, out of 4 of us no one really liked the food. The drinks were weak. If you sit inside you are at a table inside the hotel lobby! I would not recommend this place to anyone for any reason!
Excellent service in spite of the dreary weather. Outstanding wines and attention to detail and exceptional food with a surprise dessert!
Really great seafood experience. I highly recommend trying a few things. This is not a place you will go to get stuffed and have leftovers. The dishes combine interesting and thoughtful ingredients
Table at which we were seated was tiny. Food was not very good. Cavatelli was swimming in pesto very very few clams. The pork chop was very dry. I would not return here
This has been one of the finest restaurant I’ve ever been to. The staff and food was impeccable. Our server Nia was polite and professional. Definitely a place I would recommend!!!
Everything about this place is wonderful. We were a party of 8 & ordered just about every appetizer. All were delicious. The ceviche & octopus were my favorite. The outdoor seating area was perfect. We will defiantly be back.
Very impressive black grouper and oyster selections.
Great choice and view on water. Part of hotel however not really. It is a ten min walk to it and the water...
I will return
We started in the inside bar and had a fantastic Margarita, ok two. The bartenders were fun to talk with as well. We were headed to a concert across the street so it couldn't have been a better venue to be at before the concert. I would recommend it.
The view is gorgeous! The service was extremely slow (& it was not busy) and not that friendly either.
Mediocre service. Calamari was really good. We got the seafood platter and I was not impressed. Oysters, mussels and the scallops were super tiny. Atmosphere was amazing. I'd go back for drinks only.
Always a great experience at Anchor and Brine. The food is great.
We ordered mussels and asked for more bread to finish the appetizer and they charged us $5 for 2 pieces of bread. The appetizer was $21. This just really upset me. I will not return.
Indoor outdoor seating. Sat indoors. Nice lobby. Food fantastic. Bone marrow / Ox tail on fresh in house baked sour dough. Mushroom flatbread fabulous. New York Strip med rare. Nice char crust with thin mash bed with well flavored broccoli.
Great service with Kasia.
Thanks Chef Luke for the food recommendation. Perfectly executed. We’ll be back.

Beautiful view and great service!
Great ambiance on the waterfront. But EXTRA LOUD party, making it impossible to make yourself heard at your own table, were never "shushed" by the Manager. Food was good but extremely expensive for small portions.
Service was very poor. Food average or below. Terrible presentation.
Food was delicious. Service was ok but on a just night with the gala so was a bit busy and all but beautiful ambiance. Would definitely recommend and come back.
