A fine evening in this Covid - world. The menu was somewhat limited, but the homemade pasta and gnocchi was just outstanding!!
Always great. Never disappoints. Heartily recommended.
This is our first time and was disappointed when we saw a slim-lined menu changing from Parisian to Mediterranean. But in light of Covid we were not surprised with those changes as well as less days open.
The small plate options were great. A generous portion for two was given. My leek soup was very sweet for some reason and too sweet for me to complete. The fries were excellent except I was wanting more of a Worcestershire taste. Hanger steak was very good. My husbands gnocchi was unfortunately so so. Not a lot of flavor and the dough seemed a bit sticky.
All in all it was a very good meal and we would come again.
We enjoyed a delightful dinner at Amuse. Given the devastation of the fire in the area, we were grateful they were still open. We did have some disappointment that the abbreviated menu, a common feature during C-19, was not reflected on the website, however, we found meals we enjoyed - I had the hangar steak, and my wife had the gnocchi. The bread (with very good butter) from Mix was fabulous. Wine selection is not huge, however, with our waiter's help, we found a nice bottle of pinot noir from Ken Wright Cellars. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. We look forward to visiting again when next we come to Ashland.
Anniversary
Wonderful to be back and see familiar faces with the staff. The food was fantastic as always-the summer corn soup was amazing as was the scallop appetizer. The salmon main was amazing. Waiter recommended a delicious local wine that went both with salmon and steak-not an easy feat.
Table ready on arrival. Social distancing appreciated. Food good- we enjoyed local bread, warm olives, corn soup, romaine salad, grilled shrimp and steak.
Amuse no longer has table cloths or smooth jazz on the sound system, but no one minds because the food and service are so exquisite! It is my pick for Ashland's finest cuisine, followed by Larks and Peerless in that order. Each time I eat at Amuse, I find I talk about the meal for days! Do my friends mind? No, not a bit because they, too, have had similar experiences at the remarkable Amuse. It's highly recommended!
Always my favorite restaurant in Ashland. Look forward to going every year when in town. Sweetbreads divine, Scallops off the charts. Best Beignet’s I have ever had.
Ok the food was good, service great - ambiance terrible. Like an empty room with no decoration. We were outside on the patio which should have been easy to make nice, but not so. Wouldn't go back.
Nice little comfortable spot
Wonderful meal that the center piece of a delightful evening. Excellent service that created a well paced meal.
Everything was super fresh; this is a really friendly and graceful place.
Food was great as always.
Prices on the new menu are good.
In this era of COVID, the setting was very comfortable.
Amazing people and food!
The food was very good but the outdoor patio is bleak even by COVID-19 standards. Service was good.
Service was great with tasty food at reasonable prices
Highly recommend
Potatoes were undercooked. Atmosphere was not like in French restaurant, but more like in fast food place - no tablecloths and many ants on the table
Only giving 4 stars [unable to give 4 1/2] because COVID-19 precautions did take away from the ambiance a bit. On the other hand, the restaurant is being very conscientious. The service was spot on as usual and the artistic food presentation tasted amazing. And there was a Happy Hour! For now the hours of operation are shorter and you will see that when you make your reservation. But don't pass up an opportunity to dine here! We will definitely be back. The menu changes and we look forward to trying new things. One time we drove up just to eat here. 350 miles one way. Worth it!
LOVE this place. So much passion in how the food is made and how they treat their customers. <3
I understand that things are different due to the virus, but you will likely not survive unless you ramp up with more and better selections. By 7:30 pm you were sold out of two or the three entree choices. Overall selection was fair at best even if you had everything on the menu available, which you didn’t. And the French press coffees at $12.00 for both was a total rip-off.
We have loved Amuse for years as a special occasion restaurant. But we have no reason to return unless the food selections improve. Service was also fair at best.
I appreciate the somewhat lower prices, but the experience was utterly forgettable in every way.
I’m really sorry to write such a negative review, so I do hope you can ramp things up.
Thank you
Missed this place soooo much! Thx for the relaxed and safe evening!
Incredible service and experience! Great pricing and atmosphere
Delicious Food. Excellent Service. Enjoyable dinner with the family.
Really lovely meal and service. Huge fan of the steak here and house cocktails.
Amuse has arguably the finest food in the Rogue Valley. It’s out go-to spot for special occasions. In off season the three course fixed price dinner on Thursdays gives you great great three course dinner for $46. Amuse is not to be missed.
We live in Ashland but hadn't visited for a while. So glad we did.
Soup, prawns appetizer, ribs eye and Scallops were all perfect. We ended with beignets for a great ending.
We'll be back soon.
Amuse is generally our "go to" restaurant for a nice dinner out.
We had a delicious meal in this cozy little spot! The staff was very pleasant and we really enjoyed our experience!
Excellent, interesting food, beautifully presented even on a very busy night. Service was attentive and personable.
Beautiful experience excellent food and service great chef 👨🏻🍳 definitely be back when we are in Ashland
The restaurant is smallish and seating is a little cramped with table spaces intruding on each other in some instances. But the food is delicious and creative and not unfairly priced. This was the first meal I've had in a while where I enjoyed every course without reservation. Though not expansive, the wine menu offers a fair choice of varietals and blends at reasonable restaurant prices; the wine by the glass menu, which I enjoyed, is varied and the quality is more than simply adequate. We will surely dine here again.
Outstanding dining experience with Exceptional Service as always!
Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life!! Super cute restaurant with fantastic food and the nicest waiter.
Generally the restaurant was very good, though a bit overpriced. Food was good, service was good. Tables were too close together.
Amuse is a lovely restaurant nuzzled inside downtown Ashland. I went here with my fiancee on New Year's Eve and they had great specials of Oysters and a perfectly cooked steak. The ambiance made it perfect for a romantic dinner date right before the start of the New Year.
Amuse is our favorite restaurant for celebrating. We go every year for our anniversary, and it never disappoints.
a little more elbow room would be nice. the first course was good sized, the main portion could be slightly larger. chef did excellent job.
Excellent food and service as usual. One of our "go to" spots in Ashland that never fails to please.
What can I say, this is one of the best restaurants I have visited world over. Excellent service, food, drink and ambiance. This restaurant was recommended to us by some locals that we talked to while visiting Ashland, OR. A must visit if you are in Ashland.
