Amarone Kitchen & Wine
Sandro & Lilly Oliverio
My friend and I had not been here in a very long time, but this restaurant never disappoints!
We had 3 courses and each was perfecto!
The burrata & prosciutto was a very generous portion, definitely one to share.
The sausage rigatoni may be better than the one I had in Italy :).
We also split the Branzino and enjoyed several glasses of Italian wines, suggested by our server to pair with each course.
All in all, the back patio setup was well done for either a friendly dinner or even a date.
Great food, service and wine list.
Loved eating in the patio. Great Italian food. Great service Will be going back next week.
had to wait one hour for our food. and the place was nearly empty. totally overpriced.
The owner built a wonderful patio out back. He is there to assist with serving. The food is amazing. A real neighborhood gem that I am really glad figured out a way to stay open!
A new find for us. Just lovely.
The owner Sondre is an absolute delight and the food is fresh and delicious. A little gem right in my neighborhood. I will return soon
The. Best. Italian. In. LA.
From the genuine and personable service, to all the delicious dishes, the wine... this is our absolute favorite spot.
This is our favorite restaurant. Amarone is back open with a safe and beautiful new outdoor setup and it is just as lovely as it's always been. Sandro and Lilly are wonderful hosts and the authentic Italian menu is delicious and heartwarming.
This was our first time at Amarone Kitchen & Wine and it certainly won't be our last! We were welcomed warmly by the owner / maitre d and seated in the newly opened rear outside dining area.
The restaurant has done a really fantastic job of creating a charming & private dining area with raised walls and elegant lighting. A perfect setting for West LA outdoor dining in the age of COVID-19 restrictions.
All of our dishes were prepared perfectly and delicious including my beef carpaccio followed by the tagliatelle alla bolognese. Wines by the glass are very reasonable, I went with the Super Tuscan.
This is always the best food you’ll find anywhere!
We have always loved Amarone. The owners / chef's make all the pasta by hand and it is delicious. The service is very personal and you feel almost part of the family. Its a small place but its very charming and romantic, quiet but still has great energy. The risotto with truffles was out of this world. I had the pasta special and as always it was wonderful. Their wine selection is significant so get a bottle. But their wine by the glass is also excellent. Let the staff help you pick your meal and wine. You'll be glad you did.
Fantastic in every facet. Sandro the owner is in touch, in tune and on top of everything.
Amazing restaurant. Food is incredible and the owner/chef could not be more hospitable. Favorite place!
The food, wait staff, management, and ambiance is all 5star! The setting is beautiful and intimate. Perfect for a small party or romantic date! Every dish we tried was just delectable. They even have GF pasta and dessert!!! I 100% recommend if you love italian food!
MY FAVORITE. The opposite of most restaurants on the Sunset Strip. Wonderful food, warm and charming atmosphere, amazing service...without the scene. If you want fantastic Italian food without the fuss in a beautiful and friendly atmosphere, look no further.
I just love Amazon!!! It's cozy, warm and welcoming! The food is delicious and there is a well-priced wine
list. This is a "special occasion" restaurant, also great for dates.
Sandro and his wife Lily are the reason that we go! It’s not like going out for dinner, but more like having dinner with friends! The food is incredible, wine selection is very good, atmosphere is unique and the time there is special!
Truly one of the best restaurants I have ever been to and that includes places in Italy, New York, San Francisco!
Amarone Kitchen never disappoints. Although located on a sterile section of the Sunset Strip, the restaurant is warm and cozy. The Northern Italian food adheres to the best traditions of Mediterranean cuisine. Meats, fishes and pastas are all first rate. Fore a "neighborhood gem" Amarone is a true winner. Impeccable and attentive service. We'll be back.
Great hidden away plac and the owner Sandron couldn't be nicer. Nice wine list.
Amazing! Our third visit to Amarone and we will be back. Spreading the word!
Who would expect that a small Italian restaurant on Sunset Boulevard would turn out to the jewel of the city. Our daughter lives nearby and the restaurant had good reviews, so we decided to try it. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were back in our favorite local restaurant anywhere in Italy. Alessandro, the owner and Maitre'D, is gracious and knowledgeable. We tried many more dishes than we needed to because each was prepared perfectly.
Appetizers included Swordfish carpaccio, Buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto, and beef carpaccio. Each was perfect. As an intermezzo, we had Risotto with truffles. I make a great risotto but this was perfectly prepared. Entrees were veal milanese and pork milanese. Each was cooked to perfection.
The wine list is excellent and we drank several bottles from the early 2000's at reasonable prices.
When you arrive, there is a small room in the front with several small tables. We chose to sit upstairs in the intimate dining room with a beautiful view of West Hollywood.
If you get the chance, this is a meal you will be talking about with love for a long time.
As always food and service was phenomenal
My second trip to Amarone was even better than my first. The food is very consistent and the price is definitely worth it especially in the WeHo area. The owner is extremely friendly as well.
Wonderful service, lovely ambiance interesting and delicious pasta and buratta and prosciutto salad. Yummy bread
Very quaint, food is absolutely amazing! Everything made from scratch daily! A must try!
Always a delightful evening at Amarone. It never fails!
Great dinner, great wine, great service! Would definitely return!
The owner is always a pleasure to converse with. Great food!
Always great food and service
Great ambiance. Food was exquisite. My husband is a chef and he commented on the simplicity and beautiful combination of fresh flavors and traditional homemade pasta. Excellent wine list. Definitely give this restaurant a try. You will be thankful you did.
The small and quaint atmosphere only adds to the personal home style and ambiance one wants in an authentic Italian restaurant. The owner waited on us, recommended the best dishes, and is from Italy. His staff speaks Italian and very friendly. The comfortable setting, delectable food and personal friendly service makes for a very enjoyable dining pleasure.
We have dined at Amarone several times and highly recommend the restaurant. Owner is delightful and offers helpful recommendations on wine and menu. Atmosphere is warm and quiet - great for table conversation. Food is terrific!
Another great dinner at Amarone. It never disappoints. I believe my servers name was Bella and she absolutely made it a fun evening even though I was dining alone. I try to stop here every time I am in LA.
Small but diverse dining menu, beautiful salads, hand made pasta, and a really nice Italian wine list. Host/owner made it a point to get to know the diners and to discuss menu items and wine pairings. Intimate scale, would definitely visit again.
Always the most amazing food and service — a regular customer here.
Wow, a little storefront on sunset with homemade pasta and fabulous Italian wine. I had a spectacular pork chop and we shared two bottles of reasonably priced Amarone. . . .terrific service as well. Ask for Bella!
Picked this spot based on location and on-line reviews. Loved it based on the staff and the food. The owner/manager personally prepared an appetizer for us and made great recommendations on entrees. Our waiter was personable and attentive, even with a celebrity and his entourage sitting next to us commoners! Didn’t have time for dessert but everything else was fantastic.
Love the owner Sandro who has put his heart and soul into his quaint Italian restaurant. Accidentally found this wonderful little place by surprise while visiting this area of town.
We had a fabulous meal at Amarone last week. It reminded of us of a quaint Italian restaurant in Italy. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The owner was friendly and thoughtful about helping us decide about which wine and dishes to try. I recommend the prosciutto and burrata appetizer along with the pasta bolognese. Fresh pasta with a simple but incredibly delicious sauce. We will definitely come back!
