Amalfi Ristorante Italiano & Bar
Great food, excellent service. Very well run restaurant all around. The ambience is elegant yet very friendly. Menu is quite varied with wonderful, authentic Italian dishes. Tonight we had Ossibuco, Branzino, Beef Carpaccio, various good salads and caramel brûlée and rum baba. Great meal!
Delicious food! Service was great and what a nice, cozy spot. We sat outside because the inside was quite loud. But, if you don't mind the noise, it's a very lovely restaurant inside with a warm, intimate feel.
the patio was nice too. We will definitely be back!
Amalfi is the absolute best and only real Italian restaurant in the Houston area.
The service is provided by professional waiters and not by people only working as servers till they find another job.
Nice service, real Italian food and good ambience.
Very lively inside restaurant. Went Saturday evening and they were very busy. Staff was very friendly.
What a neighborhood gem! A friend told me about this restaurant, and we loved it! The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious! Be sure to make a reservation before you go to this popular place as it was packed when we went. If you like a slightly quieter environment, ask for a table in the wine room.
Very loud. Tables close together. Food delicious.
The ambiance reminded us of Italian restaurants, cozy and tight spaces. Really enjoyed the HRW menu. Will definitely go back for regular menus.
Service and food was over the top! We will be back!
Restaurant week was the special occasion and we enjoyed it. Service was great. Loved the bread sticks and ambience was good. Sat in back room. Would recommend to friends. Very good restaurant.
Had teservation for 8.30 PM and was seated at 9.30 PM. Very noisy, tables on top of each other. Food was disappointing. Would not recommend.
This restaurant is a wonderful Italian restaurant in Houston!
There were very crowded because of Restaurant week.
We also ordered from restaurant week menu and food was all good!
We will absolutely come back here again for the regular menu.
It was ok just bad experience.
Highly recommend the Branzion fish!
Great food and attentive waiter. It was a lovely date night.
4 of us went for Restaurant Weeks. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful the service was. Even though the restaurant was full we felt special
and it wasn't too loud. The food presentation and flavor were excellent. We will be back soon.
Fantastic food. Fresh homemade pasta. Great wine. Gianni is the best waiter. What else do you need?
Well it took a bit of time for someone to even address our table? Which was disappointing as it was our first time and my fathers birthday.
I ordered the chicken as I don’t eat beef or seafood, sadly I found the chicken a tad dry-
However my father enjoyed his meal immensely, so that’s a happy end.
Como siempre la comida estuvo excelente, el ambiente muy agradable y la atención excepcional. Les felicito y continuen de esa manera.
Ya hice mi proxima reservacion.
Saludos y Muchas Gracias
Fantastic food, great service. Had a great time.
We will come back.
This was a great place for a date night. I really enjoyed taking my wife out.
The food and service were outstanding! The presentation was beautiful. Even the plates on the tables next to us. The restaurant was packed, which is always a good sign. It definitely time for an upgrade to a larger space.
Great meal, service and decor.
Our only negative was the tables (which were all full) were packed too close together. So I was hard to move around and very noisy. They need more space!
The service and food were amazing! The restaurant was smaller than expected but it was still very nice. It was packed! People at every table but they still got the food out to us extremely quick. Very responsive to dietary restrictions - server had extensive knowledge of the menu and made wonderful recommendations of dishes that fit my needs.
Great menu, especially for us as we eat plant based diets. Many vegan, plant based, options. Service was very good, and waiter/chef have worked with me in the past to provide plant based options. Waiters are very experienced and customer focused. Good atmosphere, can get a little noisy on a busy weekend night when packed, but still very enjoyable ( some outside seating looked very nice weather permitting).
We plan to return next time an Italian dinner out is in our plans.
BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN HOUSTON PERIOD!!!!!
Had a great dinner with friends.
Deliciously Authentic Italian cuisine
What a great dining experience for Houston, I felt they did a great job, everything we ate for restaurant weeks was amazing
Extremely loud. Food was good. Service was good. But it was so loud, we could not talk!!
Great neighborhood spot for our family! Our kids always demand that we go here. The parents love it too.
Meal and service were outstanding. I have been there before and it is always great but this time was restaurant month. Menu was wonderful and they displayed the Restaurant Menu right on the regular menu (rather than having to ask for it as in some restaurants.). Highly recommend this restaurant.
The best Italian restaurant in Houston. Dined from the HRW menu. Barata mouse was delicious. Ravioli great. Short ribs with butternut squash risotto fabulous.
Though it was super busy late on a Friday evening, the food was excellent and our waiter was sincere, cheerful, and knowledgeable about the food and wine pairings. Nothing was taken for granted, even the salad dressing was delightful and tangy, and tasted like it was thoughtfully prepared. I didn't think I cared for pannacotta until I had Amalfi's pannacotta: DEE-lish!
Our waiter took our order and we never seen him again until he delivered the bill. Never even brought our food out, another person did that. No one checked to see if we needed drink refills or if our food was ok. Won’t be back to this restaurant.
Always consistent and tasty.
The recommended white wine was good but the sea bass was average & expensive. It was listed on the menu with gnocchi but that’s not how it came. It was very crowded and extremely loud and the owner annoyingly came by to check if our table for four could be split into two. My guest jokingly said we’re not giving it up and she said well I’m the owner and I could do it if I want to but I won’t. Then she kept coming by to see if we were done. Wanted to like it more sine we need a good neighborhood place.
The food and wine selection was absolutely fantastic! The service felt a bit rushed throughout the dinner--that was the only drawback. Would definitely go there again though and recommend it to anyone.
