We had a wonderful meal to celebrate my birthday. The tasting menu was fantastic and our server did an excellent job coming with wine pairings for us. Another great experience at Allora.
Really great service and food!
The food was amazing!! Everything was perfect. The service was spot on! Very attentive and understood our needs. I highly recommend this place. It is a bit costly, but totally worth it!!
Love love love
Staff was very attentive and my water glass was never empty! The food and service are both worth returning for!
Warm and dry patio on a rainy night! The short rib and branzino were amazing and the seafood fettuccine is not to be missed.
This was our firs time here celebrating my son's 30th Birthday. The service and food were excellent! I would recommend them highly and we will certainly go back!
Oh my goodness amazing amazing amazing. Everything. Food. Decor. Wine. People. Atmosphere. Food. Wine. Dessert. And the food is amazing!
Celebrated my birthday with my girlfriends and we had an amazing experience. Our server guided us through the wine list and menu. It was a highlight of the year too.
The food was delicious!!! Let's support this neighborhood gem as they lose their dine-in income.
First time we visited, everything was truly exceptional. This time however, very different experience. Just 3 of us sitting outside and it out dinner took nearly 3 hours. Had to chase down staff just to pay the bill. On top of that, they only sent us home with only half of the items we wanted boxed up.
The service from all staff was impeccable and attentive. Food + presentation were amazing. Only thing, my squid ink leftovers didn’t make it into our bag at the end of the meal. I only had a taste so to leave room for the remaining courses. I was so sad because it was so delicious!
My wife and I were celebrating my birthday and decided to try Allora. We are impressed with friendly waitstaff and the food. Each course was delightful. My only (tongue in cheek) complaint is that we ate too much. We will certainly be back.
The absolute best service and staff in town. The menu is creative and the quality exceptional. This is a first class and lovely dining experience.
I believe this restaurant to be one of the finest in Sacramento. Service was outstanding, each course was better than the one before it, and we left completely satisfied and glad to have chosen this restaurant. Highly recommended
It was a great taste of Modern Italian Cuisine. A Nice and Quiet place to celebrate!
We had a wonderful & safe experience. The food & service were great & they went all out in celebration of our wedding anniversary. They couldn't have been nicer! (As well, we felt totally safe with their adherence to COVID protocols.) This was our second time at Allora and we love the atmosphere.
Elizabeth is the absolute best!!!!!!! Her dishes and creativity are unparalleled. Wonderful individual and smashing sommelier. We love her very much <3
Too over priced, the whole thing felt rushed and not explained. They would put the dish in the middle and leave having us guess. Go somewhere else
What a wonderful place! It was a wonderful experience, from the minute we walked in the door until departing 3 hours later after a marvelous 4 course meal. The food is over the top, as is the service. The patio area was a delight, it is open but intimate at the same time. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be going back soon!!!
My fiancé and I had a lovely meal here for his birthday. We both went with the four course dinner and each course was delicious. The service was excellent. All our questions were answered, the table was promptly cleared between courses, and the attention to detail was much appreciated. Even though we’re local, it felt like we were on a little getaway somewhere. The dividers between the tables make it feel like your own private dining room. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic 4 course meal. The restaurant went out of their way to make our anniversary dinner feel special with fantastic service and a few surprises. The restaurant is being very thoughtful in the setting of COVID to protect their customers and their staff. We had a great seat with a view of the kitchen all to ourselves. I would highly recommend for a date night or special occasion.
We came here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Overall, the service was good with a bit of hiccups, restaurant is modern/beautiful, but the food itself missed the mark for us.
The menu allows you to choose 3, 4, or 5 courses per person. We opted for 4 courses each and a bottle of sparkling wine. The waiter told us that we could mix or match the different courses, but failed to tell us that if we opted out of the dessert, there would be an extra charge. The menu also did not have any information on this. They also suggested a birthday cocktail as soon as we sat down to welcome us, but we ended up getting charged for the cocktail as well (we hadn't opened the menu at all and was under the impression that it would complimentary). We were surprised when the bill got to us for both unexpected charges.
The food missed the mark for us. Most of the dishes we had were imbalanced in flavors and the star ingredients would be overshadowed by too many spices or extra sides/ingredients. We were impressed with the execution of the ciccioli and the carne cruda. We also appreciated how beautifully cooked the 72-hour short rib was, but it had too many sides (potato gratin, salsa verde, balsamic radicchio, and fried green beans) that the beef itself got lost in the other overpowering flavors.
We were so excited to try this place, but left underwhelmed.
Start to finish, a beyond-our-expectations delicious and memorable meal. Traveling during covid-time from Richmond VA to visit mom in Sacramento, this was our one night out reunion dinner, and it could not have been more perfect. From the generous hostess who helped us get our elderly mom settled at our table in the beautiful outdoor patio, to the personable and knowledgable waiter, and all supporting cast, the service was outstanding (and ty for so graciously replacing moms fallen napkin 4 times!). We selected the four course prix fixe and would rank each selection as excellent- we shared tastes and had difficulty deciding which dish won a particular course. Polpo, duck confit, Gnocchi all romana (winner by a nose!); tagliolini, risotto, fettuccine (oh so luscious!); one Branzino and 2 scallops, a tie; and one of each dessert, tie goes to the lemon curd bomboloni, we were considering ordering an extra to go!
The concentration and balance of flavors and thoughtful combinations have us wishing there was an Allora twin in our foodie Richmond home. This place is a jewel of Sac dining.
Great food - could not prepare dishes like this at home!!! Wonderful, friendly staff - excellent restaurant.
Fantastic! The food was delicious and the service was great! Thank you!
What a treasure in East Sac. We enjoyed the five course menu and savored every bite - standouts were the duck confit antipasti and the fettucine with Maine lobster pasta (you could taste about twenty different flavors in the pasta, every one perfectly balanced - I have been dreaming of this pasta since we went last Friday). I know people have shared an issue with the portion sizes but by the time we got to the dessert course, we almost had them box it up because we were so full. Not an every Friday night place because of the price point but worth every penny for a special occasion. Can't wait to have an excuse to go back!
The restaurant was not hard to find. Parking was a little tough. Street parking around the corner for us since tiny lot was full. Hostess greeted us and offers water. Every employee was wearing a mask. Guests waited outdoors for safety and the hostess offered water while waiting. We were seated outside on the patio. The weather was beautiful. The service was excellent. This restaurant is very clean. Yes, even the restroom was super clean. The food was amazing. We ordered the 5 course. We celebrated our anniversary here so they greeted us with two complimentary champagne glasses. Prosecco, actually. They printed happy 10th anniversary on their dinner menu for us. Very sweet! We will definitely come back here again. We were completely satisfied with our entire experience.
One word: perfect. My wife and I agreed it was a perfect meal and evening. It was our first meal there. Sat out on beautiful porch on a warm October evening. David ( “two ‘D’s”) our server was excellent. Knowledgeable and he made great recommendations about wine pairings as well as recommending a Manhattan cocktail riff- with Nonino and Punt e mas- as good a whiskey cocktail as I’ve ever had. And I don’t mean to brag but I’ve had a few.
Each course was beautifully presented and it was the ideal amount of food. We were pleasantly full, not stuffed. The grilled octopus was a standout. I loved the rich pasta dish with snails. And the branzino was delicious. And the lemon curd Italian donuts were even better than that sounds.
Most importantly the atmosphere was inviting and fun, elegant but not at all stuffy. We are pretty sure that’s exactly how they intend it.
New favorite restaurant in Sac.
Awesome special occasion meal. Great service and great food! Definitely will be back for another special occasion. While it is worth it, the restaurant is pricey so not something we can afford all the time, but worth it once in awhile.
Allora did not disappoint! The service and the food were excellent. It was the perfect break from the pandemic for an intimate evening with close friends.
EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE! First time there and out of my comfort zone! but will be back to try the other food!
Amazing. Feels safe, welcoming, and friendly. Perfect evening out of the house.
We were very surprised to find out after we sat down that we had to order 3 or 5 course meal. It was very expensive meal and we were not prepared for that. I should have been notified that your menu had changed at the time of reserving. Most likely won’t return for a friends get together
We are sorry to hear that you were unpleasantly surprised during your visit! It is our policy to inform all guests of our prix fixe menu when reservations are made over the phone. We also require a credit card that would be charged $85 per person (our 3 course option) should a cancellation be needed less than 72 hours prior. We also have this information on our Open Table, Yelp and website homepages, our reservation page, and all social media pages for those making digital reservations.
Everything about our dinner at Allora was wonderful and it was such a pleasure to be out (for a change) and have such a lovely evening. From greeting to our leaving, the entire staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We look forward to going back sometime soon.
Might be the best restaurant in Sacramento!
For a special evening, Allora is perfect. The only odd thing was they knew it was our anniversary and that we'd requested the patio. For some reason, they led us to a high-top indoors right by the kitchen near two doors. Strange since restaurant wasn't busy. I asked for what we'd requested, and everything great from then on.
