Alexander’s Restaurant is a hidden jewel in the heart of Naples. Chef Alexander Bernard has been serving his distinctive cuisine to Neapolitans and visitors from around the world for more than 23 years, and has an avid following. His innovative, farm to table organic dishes reflect his annual California sabbaticals and his traditional European training.
The Johnson & Wales graduate is known for menu favorites such phyllo-wrapped fried shrimp, macadamia nut crusted grouper, and seafood risotto with chunks of Maine lobster, scallops and shrimp. Classics such as crispy duck with lingon berries, veal tenderloin and Steak Au Poivre share the page with pasta and vegetarian dishes. Seasonal healthful menus and Chef Alex’s sell-out cooking classes enhance the culinary offerings. A European-style dining room and award-winning garden patio accommodate diners for lunch and dinner from September through May.

Food was creatively presented with very good flavor. We had the special lobster crepe with carrot and ginger sauce for an appetizer, my wife had Monica’s Portobello as an entree while I had the black grouper special. Our server was John Z and he was fantastic.

Nice atmosphere outside in cooler weather. Food was avrerage. Maybe it was just a bad night... the only time I’ve been there

For the first time in the many years we have been eating at Alexander's we were unhappy. My daughter ordered the night special-eggplant risotto with shrimp. There was hardly any eggplant and no flavor but the shrimp were excellent. The waiter offered a replacement which for some reason was turned down by my daughter. It will not stop us from rating Alexander's as one of our favorite Naples restaurants. Sally Salzer

One of the best dining e.xperiences we've had in SWFL since relocating from CA. Service, cuisine and ambiance all top notch. Chef Alex and his team hit a home run the night we were there. Will have to go back and sit on the patio next time. It looked very inviting. Thanks!

On our arrival the hostess was not very friendly nor hospitable. Service was a bit slow. Need more help.
